CheckOut
A game that lets you live out those teenage fantasies we've all had about joining a gang, rollerblading through the streets with total abandon and tagging the hell out of anything with a flat surface.

A visually gorgeous game that combines awesome graphics, fresh gameplay, irresistible music, and incredible design in a polished package that is a true original.

Maybe I'm just being picky, but I found the camera positioning quite annoying at times, especially in the last section of the final boss.

Jet Set Radio is an AMAZING game I’m still playing to this day, and honestly? It still holds up. It’s still FUN AS HELL! The music and art style are timeless, nothing else looks or sounds like it, even now. Yes, it’s difficult, but that’s kind of the point. Just like real-life skating, you don’t get good instantly. You have to practice, learn the controls, and build muscle memory. And because of that, the game actually becomes more fun the more you replay it. Jet Set Radio doesn’t handhold you, it rewards commitment and I welcome a good challenge.

Sega is so creative when it comes to video games like this. There’s a super fast hedgehog that saves animals and defeats a crazy fat mad scientist, a star that hangs onto anything like stretch Armstrong and now a teen graffiti enthusiast that’s in a gang rivaling other gangs. Jet Set Radio introduces its world building and story. And the voice acting is actually pretty good and even for 1999, this is really impressive. But what’s also impressive is how innovative the music and art direction is for this game. Very vibrant and cel-shaded art style makes this a completely different and interesting way to make a series. Awesomely groovy music has a bunch of variety and sounds great. And for the gameplay, it’s also pretty great for the most part. Introductions to the controls and general gameplay is very intuitive and a good learning curve. Surprisingly the camera is actually pretty good too and controls are floaty but tolerable. I also like the character designs a lot and the way the world is built around. It feels like such a vibe that I can hang with. Grinding on rails, spray painting walls and cars, doing sick tricks, getting beat by the white paled police guards and avoiding a mad lunatic with a big gun. What a concept for a video game like this; but it all has a nice sense of what it’s trying to be.

If you own a Dreamcast, you really would be an unadulterated fool not to purchase this game. For JSR, quite simply, rocks.

It is, without a doubt, the biggest breath of fresh air to sweep through gaming in a good long while, and no Dreamcast owner's library would be complete without it.

Jet Set Radio is one of the best games on the Dreamcast. The story, music and gameplay compliment each other strongly. The gamefeel in general is awesome. The art style is so unique and looks wonderful. It is truly a great game, recommended to everyone.

AKA Jet Set Radio, this rather unique offshoot of the skateboarding genre sees you tagging various locations around a future Japan with some gorgeous-looking cel-shaded graphics and a super-cool soundtrack. Perhaps a little repetitive but quirky and fun.

This game is really fun but I have to take some points off because it has references to the Sonic games. However, the cool graphics and fun game play are good enough to help you look past them.
