This rather short, but very eventful journey will send Astro up in the air, out to the deep waters, or even inside gargantuan monsters. [Issue#265, p.70]

A perfect, charming platformer that will delight players throughout the entire journey. This is an easy recommendation and a must-play!

It's a really charming platformer with a lot of thought put behind even small details. Not very challenging but still fun and enjoyable. Looks, sounds and plays really well even though there isn't a lot of depth to the controls (which also makes it easier for casual players or children to pick up I guess). The game also actually takes advantage of all of the controller's functions, which is always welcome. The developers did their best to not allow the game to get stale but personally some more variation would be nice?

Astro Bot is still the wonderful tribute to PlayStation history and hardware design that Astro’s Playroom was, but it has been given room to grow beyond a characterful tech demo and into the best platform game I have played in many years. Actually, it’s one of the best platformers I’ve ever played, – and, as a child of the 90s, I truly have played a tonne of them. PlayStation has been lacking a great homegrown family-friendly game since LittleBigPlanet, and Astro Bot is a worthy inheritor of that series’ playfully humorous legacy.

In my opinion Astro bot is one of the best platformers I've ever played, My favorite part about the game how its strong on nostalgia and while i was playing through it seeing little easter eggs of games I played when I was a little kid was nice and refreshing. It is also a really good easy fun platinum for people who just want a nice simple fun platinum It doesn't take too long and you get a good taste of everything the game has to offer once you platinum it.

In a world of by-the-numbers sequels and soulless cash grabs, Astro Bot stands as an oasis, an absolute masterpiece packed to the brim with charm, creativity, and a genuine love for video games, old and new. There are still four months left in the year, but if I'm being honest, I think I've already found my pick for game of the year.

With copious amounts of variety, a delightful presentation, rewarding collectibles, an absurd amount of references, and cuteness to spare, ASTRO BOT is one of the best 3D platformers ever created. It's essentially a tribute to gaming as a whole.

After years, Astro Bot made it to the star of the platforming genre in PlayStation universe bringing full-fledge game with tens of rich levels, funny power-ups, secret passaged and different planets. It is one of a few games you’ll enjoy without stress, pressure and will admire the creativity of Team Asobi.

Every second spent on the game testifies to the enormous skill of the developers and the love they have for the PlayStation universe. A highly enjoyable adventure from start to finish.

Astro Bot is what we needed after playing Astro's Playroom for a long time; the student surpasses the teacher, but it is difficult to tell the difference between both games. This is a space adventure full of surprises, challenges and immersion that is only possible with the DualSense controller. This game is essentially a thank-you letter to PlayStation fans.

Fun, but gets repetitive and boring over time, and you should get it only if it's on sale.

Fantastic game. But the extra levels at the end are really annoying difficult. And why is there no option to disable rumble and reduce music volume? And no option for camera speed? It's weird that these options are missing. The slow camera is really lame. No checkpoints at the difficult levels. And if you start over and over again, you don't want to hear the music anymore at this volume. But it's still worth to play.

Mid platformer with a stupid clanker. Sony payola made sure this garbage won several GOTY awards. Also a nice graveyard for dead and abandonded Playstation IPs.

It would be a quite good game if not for the unfair mechanics and control, specially at square, X, O, and triangle levels. As for the rest, it's a simple game, very easy to finish, not as easy to fully complete. And, by the way, it's definitely not a GOTY. Not by chance.
