I'll give em this: It's never boring, always whacked out of its mind, and the control throughout delivers...Nunchuk or not. So in closing, may the Sponge be with you. [Dec. 2006, p.62]

The game's on the easy side, too, but it's still a solid platform-action title. [jan. 2007, p.114]

It’s one of the better SpongeBob games to date. But if you’re not a fan, you’ll have a harder time seeing its good qualities.

this SpongeBob game is all about a dream that SpongeBob has and also Patrick has a dream as well and also plankton but all dreams eventually end in nightmares and each nightmare collaborates into one and they find each other but this Dream game gets obviously more and more into depth but hopefully you'll find it interesting keep going and keep giving it likes

had potential to be one of the best SpongeBob games it has great music a great set of attacks a great title screen the only great thing missing is the gameplay it's super repetitive well not entirely I think the SpongeBob part is decent it has very basic gameplay but there's something about SpongeBob's part that's fun. 4/10 game

This is one of the few games I've played that is so fundamentally broken I just can't sit through it. The controls are awful, and the graphics look like late ps1 games. The motion control is completely unusable, I'm quite frankly ashamed that a game this bad is actually sold. If I were you I'd definitely skip this one.

Its target audience will find a lot to like in the game since the Wiimote helps make the game more interactive and user-friendly, despite some of the limited shortcomings.

Overall, it’s about what you expect from SpongeBob on Wii – just barely good enough for a younger kid that loves the show and made a little more interesting by the novel controls.

The platforming and token collecting can become repetitive, but overall the game does have a respectable amount of variety, with the inclusion of racing levels and 2D platforming.

By allowing players to employ the motion-sensing controller in a bevy of unique ways, the title has a lot in common with "Wii Sports." Unfortunately many modes feel either underdeveloped, ho-hum, or both--also like "Wii Sports."
50
Aside from being just a tad too repetitive and too long, the platform levels are well-presented and plenty of fun.
45
It's an out of the box idea, a commendable effort for a console that built itself on thinking differently, but ultimately Creature from the Krusty Krab loses the charm and style of the property it's based on.
40
The game itself is average. The controls don’t do enough to make the game stand out. The extras and bonus features are pointless.
