It's just so bad. Filled with random.images and scenes that mean nothing. A stupid plot that makes no sense. Easily the worst film I've seen in a year of bad movies. Oof.

Despite some janky CGI and some jokes that don't really land, it's a fun movie.

Overly sentimental, boarding on cheese. Easily skippable if you are tired of Marvel. Re-watch the first one instead.

Downgrading my score after fact checking a few things, especially the events in the second half of the movie: The first half is better than the second when it devolves into a pretty generic action flick. You knew exactly how it was going to end and that took all the emotional punch out of the movie (for me anyway - however there were lot of tears from my row). I also take issue with the "special message" at the end - not to educate yourself and others but to buy movie tickets so others can see it. Why? I've seen the same subject matter handled better in other movies and TV shows. And the controversy comes from the personal politics of the lead actor and from Tim Ballard himself - not with the movie. Do yourself a favour: look it up and you'll see who they are both affiliated with (if not officially, at least on the fringes of). THAT'S why Disney wouldn't release it and why they sold it off.

3 hours of boring. Clearly a vaniety project for Tarantino. Watched the first hour and got distracted. Some time went by when I looked up and realized I had missed nothing. Turned it off.

Given the horrible reviews, this was much better than expected. Yes, it's goofy (especially that much maligned mall scene), has plot holes and is full of glorious'80s cheese, but there's also a decent story with a villian (Pascal is trying his best Lex Luthor impression from the Reeve Superman movies) who has a fairly decent arc.

There is a truly brillant 3 hour cut of this movie in here somewhere - but as it stands, some scenes go on a touch too long. Much better than the theatrical version though.

A lot of fun. Daniel Craig is chewing the scenery, but the accent - oh, the accent, is glorious. The house is its own character and plays a large part in the story. Confusing near the end when the detective lays out the entire case because it just moves so fast it loses the audience a bit, but will watch again when it comes to streaming services (with the subtitles on).

Funny, but not hilarious. I enjoyed "The Lego Movie" more because of the clever jokes and satire. Not enough of that in this film, which disappointed me because I'm a huge Batman fan. This is definitely a kids movie.

Good, but not great. One thing I have to mention is that this movie was NOT in wide release in Canada, so I had to find it at a different theatre than my local Cineplex. Because I had heard so much about it, perhaps my expectations were a little too high - I was disappointed at how pedestrian it was. Humour thrown in for the sake of humour and a romance that was completely unnecessary. Of the Oscar contenders I saw throughout the year, it wasn't the best film, however it has momentum only because of the Trump effect.

Bad CGI. I just can't get past (or forgive) that. Do not, I repeat, do not attempt to bring back actors from the dead by giving them dead-eyed impostors. Ug. The movie might have been fantastic had it been released before "The Force Awakens" but I'm so tired of the Death Star that it felt stale and a rip off of itself.

Would have worked better as a mini-series (because it would allowed some of the themes to breathe), but overall has some great moments and it's well-acted.
