A great game. Could be in the list of the top all-time RPGs. I'm looking forward to playing the 2nd part and BG 3 after that. Played on Apple M1 MacBook Pro.
The first 5 hours of the game are sort of "wow every minute". I tried to test every weapon, check every house, find every secret, complete every side quest etc. The interiors in the game are probably (not probably, but definitely) the best in the industry. I even got several ideas for myself :) The picture is perfect as well – on the 65-inch TV things look awesome. Gameplay is great for first 10 hours. In the middlegame things became too repeatative and boring, the story is sort of missing at all, characters are empty, enemies are annoying. There is also level threshold in the game so you must complete about 10 side quests to proceed with the main story. Otherwise it will be impossible to beat some bosses. Anyway, the first 5-10 hours beat all drawbacks of the game.
Played it in late 2024 and I could say that the game is not that old as for 10+ years game. Yes, graphics is not like in Dead Island 2 but it still ok, animations are great (Elizabeth' mimic is great!), gameplay is perfect, shooting is great. But the main thing BioShock Infinite is must play is because of the story - there are no many games I watch lore videos after beating. Also don't miss DLCs. To see the Rapture during its rapture worth a lot.
Even in late 2024 it looks and feels ok. It seems it could be call a classic game which never gets that old. A good story both for the main game and DLC, improved gameplay, and more weapons than in the first part. But the main thing is an atmosphere of course - the vibe of Fallout under the water is still present. OST is great as well - I'm listening to it separately. Also duration of the game is good. About 15h for main story and 3.5-4h for DLC. It's much better than these 100+h nowadays games.
I played the original Dead Space and it was great, especially for 2008th. The remake version returned all those emotions I had 16 years ago. It's a solid straightforward game with great physics, graphics, and story. What else is needed for several evening of great time-consuming? A fun fact: I've checked the gameplay of the original game and the graphics is not as outdated I thought before. Frankly I I'm not sure if this remake makes sense. Original game is not that old. Anyway looking forward for 2nd and 3rd parts re-maked :)
I spent almost 100 hours in the game and finally beat it. I'd say it's too long, there are too many quests/materias/mini-games etc. But these complaints are only valid because I don't have much free time so only my own problem :) I'm not sure but this game has about 20 hours of cut scenes - it's like 2 seasons of a TV show. There are 5 or 6 regions in the game and every single region could be a separate 60-70$ game. It's unbelievable how much work was done here. Yes, there are drawbacks in this game but they are minor and it's a crime to assess FF7 Rebirth with a score lower than maximum!
It was the first jRPG I played and it was a great option to start with the genre. The game is absolutely fascinating. The story is a bit outdated (because the original game took place in the last century) but the storytelling is on the Last of Us level so one of the best in the industry. Of course it doesn't provoke such emotions as TLOU but up to 4-6h of good-written cutscenes are in place. The fighting system is great. I understood it fully about the end of the game which means it's so flexible and it allows to beat enemies in many ways including case when player doesn't give a **** what he's doing :) I've already bought next chapter - "Rebirth" and is looking forward to start with it.
I played it in 2023 so in two years after release. So I didn't see any PS5 magic. It's mostly very similar to the previous game released in 2016. Of course, graphics is better but probably that's it. That PS5-only-through-dimensions loading happened a few times per game and these episodes could be just pre-rendered ones. Anyway it is a good game with a nice story, perfect graphics, and easy (I was killed by enemies zero(!!!) times throughout the game at medium difficulty) but entertaining gameplay. It's not a system seller but a good game which I recommend to play while it is in PSplus.
It's the best part of the Assassin's Creed series so far. I played them all so I am able to judge here. I've beaten Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla in 3 months. I thought it will be too much of Assassin's Creed but due to each game being better than the previous, I was not tired of all of this. But even so, Valhalla is much better than the previous parts. It's an almost perfect action RPG game - good story, plenty of quite interesting OPTIONAL side activities, the best combat system in the Assassin's Creed series etc. Drawbacks are quite standard for Ubisoft: the game is too long. I've beaten the main story with plenty of sides in about 60 hours and about 20 hours more are needed for DLC and about 10-20 hours I guess for finishing with Order and other side quests. 100h is too much. People mostly like changes in their lives :) 100h in a single game is toooo damn much. Sony makes ideal-length games: Last of Us 2, GoW 2 and Horizon 2 are about 20-30 hours. It's the best length - not short not long. But even though I can't assess the game less than 10 of 10 because the amount of work done is terrifying. I played the game in 2023 so missed almost all bugs - good for me, LOL.
A masterpiece. Even in 2023 feels and looks like a masterpiece. I played it on a release 16 years ago and replayed it now. It was like a new run, an awesome run.
I played it right after AC: Origins but the gameplay is still ok, sometimes repetitive but you can't stop playing. I think that is one of the most important game characteristics. The main story is better than in Origins but side quests are not that good. Probably it's because there are a lot of them and it's impossible to make all of them interesting. Gameplay, graphics, and other aspects are almost the same as in Origins. Yes, the Odyssey hasn't a lot of changes but it's a big, very big game. Many resources have been invested to create that game and it's not ok to blame the game because it's big and took plenty of resources. It's a good single-player game you could spend more than 100 hours on it. I've beat the main story in about 40 hours but am still playing it because of DLC and some side quests – I want to know who is the main cultist. So kindly recommend to all who likes single player 3rd person action/adventure games. UPDATE: I spend almost 100h for main story + 2 DLC + platinum trophy.
I didn't expect such quality from Assassin's Creed game. They wanted to create the Witcher game in an Egyptian setting and they did so. In 2023 on PS5 it looks and feels great. Side quests are witcher-level for sure. The main story is probably not that well-written but it's better than in previous parts. Combat system ... well... it exists. Unity and Syndicate and all previous parts didn't have a combat system - they had a limited amount of scripted animations that were triggered in certain circumstances. But here it's the full-fledged combat system. Of course, it could be better but compared to previous parts it's significant progress. So actually this game is for those who like Assassin's Creed, Witcher or Ancient Egypt :)
In this game, it's possible to summon Cthulhu so at least because of this it is worth playing. In terms of detective, I believe Frogwares would do better but for some reason they didn't have a chance. It's not a good idea to pass the game in development from one studio to another. But anyway I think what Frogwares did makes the game playable and sometimes interesting. It's not an AAA game but just a good thriller for several evenings.
Comparing to original Spider-man this game is almost the same but it's still good. New story, new villain, family involvement - full kit of superhero game/movie/comix. So what was expected that was given. Game is quite short but I'd rather say it's benefit because I've tired a bit of 100h+ games. So great DLC for great game. Looking forward for next-gen Spider-Man 2.
Just one more good game in RE Universe. If you played RE2/RE3 remake or RE7 you know what it's all about - there are no big changes. Two minor but important changes: more humor and more action. As for me I'd better give more time for Dimitrescu castle as it's probably the best part of the game but diversity is good as well.
GoW 2 is almost the same as Gow 1 but with slight improvements for all parts - better graphics, better narrative, better characters etc. There are things to reprimand the game like not very user-friendly UI, some side quests could be removed from the game, some main quests are not that good as others. And main argument - there are no big changes. Honestly I don't realise what such people want. Probably they want real-time strategy with label God of War 2? Each game, actually everything in the world has drawbacks. The question is to forgive them or not. In case of GoW 2 it worth to forgive especially such minor minuses.
As for indie game Stray is perfect. It could even be called AA game. Lore is quite interesting - till the end I was curious about the history of that world. Story it's not that great but good enough for 5 hours game. One thing about B/12 was quite a surprise. And of course – main hero. I think thousands of hours have been invested to create such an alive cat hero. So in other words it's a good game to shorthand a few evening between bigger games(Elden Ring and God of War: Ragnarok in my case)
I can't set less than 10 for this game because the amount of everything in game is so huge, so much work has been dome so it's 10/10 for sure. I've bet the game for 114 hours. 114 hours!!!! One hundred and fourteen hours! It's 10 time more than should be :) Or at least 5 times. It's too long, last 20 hours despite it was ending I played just to finish it. Some other drawbacks: repeatable bosses/mini-bosses - about 20-25 hours could be saved without repeatable bosses. The more realistic game name could be "Dark Souls 4". It's more like a sequel, not a whole new game. Honestly I think From Software must change(or significantly improve) game engine and change something because difference between Dark Souls 1 and Elden Ring is not that big. It's almost the same game with just different graphics. If FS next game will be made in the same way as Elden Ring I probably miss it because I don't think spending another 100 hours of my life playing the same mechanics will be the good choice. I have several other games in my playlist which I could finish instead of Elden Ring(114h): Stray(6h), Spider Man: Miles Morales (14h), RE: Village(15h), Alan Wake remastered(15h), Outer Worlds (30h), Sinking City (25h), Call of Cthulhu (10h). 7 (Seven) games with difference experience and without repeatable bosses.. Anyway I like Elden Ring - it's really one of the best games ever made. And they finally fixed hitboxes!!! But lore in BloodBorne is much better ;)
Purchased the game day one, started playing ... but due to russia invaded my country(Ukraine) I wasn't able to play for a month or so. Not because I was relocated or something else. I had all conditions to play the game but I can't because all my thoughts were about the war against my country... And finally when things became more or less stable I continued with the game to distract my attention for news. So after almost 90 hours in game I've got the platinum trophy and it's like finishing a great book or good movie – I don't want to farewell this world. The game is much bigger and complex than first part, quests are written in Witcher style so there are no courier missions. And what is great that almost all side quests are connected somehow with the main story so they are treated very consistent. Graphics is probably the best in open world games. Combat system was awesome in Zero Dawn. Here it is even better and more complex. You can beat the game with just default bow and arrows or you can use all kinds of way to destroy machines. It's up to you and that's great. So looking forward for 3rd part which will be PS5 only so nextgen so can't even think about how it will look :)
First of all it's not AAA game. It's something like AA but even for such not big budget developers created good game with well-written characters, interesting plot (ending is great!), interesting side-missions(some of them are on main story level). One more good point is that game really respects gamer's time - it's very fast to go from one location to another in open world so there are no 5-minutes travels from point A to point B. And about humor/trolling - there is no much of that but when there is it's very wittily but not all understand that. There are some minor drawbacks of this game but all of them are because the game is AA and not AAA. With bigger budget I believe Frogwares will create a perfect game about Sherlock Holmes. Looking forward for that!
I'm one of those people who beat original Mafia 2 times, gathered almost all cars in freeride. Original Mafia was a great game for its time. Remake hasn't reached that level of greatness. It's just a good 3rd person adventure game. Not bad, not terrible. Probably it's because I know the story and I suspected the same feelings as 18 years ago. Or probably because shooting system is much worse than in Last of Us (2013), world doesn't feel like real and one more thing - why on PS5 game doesn't work in at least stable 30FPS. I think with that level of graphics even 120 FPS should be possible FullHD but no - gamers should suffer :( Anyway I kindly recommend this game who never played original Mafia - at least the story worths to be go through. P.S.: I've bet race in 5th mission like in original - from the first try :)
Playing Demon's Souls first time after all other soulslike games is like watching old Star Wars movies after new ones. It's quite good but not that awesome as it could be if I had played it before. Of course graphics on PS5 is great. Elden Ring developers envy that they can't reach that level of graphics. Also it's great that there are no issues with hitboxes like in other FromSoftware games. Probably because it's because the game was remade by Bluepoint. Lore is also not that great as in BloodBorne or even Dark Souls. But from other point it's good to know how it all have been started. It's quite obvious that some bosses with minor changes have been migrated to DS/BB. And one more thing - Demon's Souls is great for newbies - it's really easier than other soulslike. The main point - go to 4-1 and 4-2 zones as early as possible and you'll be safe and sound :)
I've played this game in 2021 on PS5 and after 7(!!!) years after release this game is a bit outdated. Open world is very standard, even boring - activities in open world are very basic, repetitive and not interesting. The story is also very basic - you know who is your enemy in the beginning and with that knowledge you go through the whole game, gather new skills and then final battle is coming. So very straightforward. Characters are sort of empty-hollow characters, even main hero, even main enemy, allies are bad-written as well. Next thing to discuss is combat system - it's much better than story and characters but I didn't find it awesome - it's ok, not good, not terrible. I understand the complexity of implementing super-skills in open world but probably would be better to have less amount of skills and invest that saved time into several skill. So honestly the real score of this game is about 7.0. But as far as it is 7 years old and in 2014 I had scored it better so I've set 8.0. Btw one more plus of that game is that it is quite short - about 10 hours.
It's the playstation exclusive in the best meaning of the word. Story is great, sometimes it's scary, sometimes it's unpredictable so it is what could be expected from non-linear story-driven adventure. Characters are well-written - you can feel you know them in real life. One thing I would highlight as not the best solution us that it's not very clear and obvious what to do to save all of characters but from the other side it makes you feel harder about them. This game was in my "ToPlay" list but thanks to PS Plus collection I've got it for free so no way to miss this game - these 8 hours you won't forget.
An awesome game! It's like interactive marvel movie. Jokes are funny, story is interesting, there is no microtransactions, soundtrack is great, visual part is more than great - this game is must to be played. I think it will be the game of the year 2021!
In 2021st this game looks very old-fashioned. Gameplay is quite boring, especially first half of the game. Jumping and roaming through similar locations is not the funniest thing in video games :) But 2nd half is more about action and narrative and in this part game like phoenix rises from the ashes and shows its best parts. It worths play it at least to watch on Trico - gigantic dog/cat/rat/chicken - sometimes he's very cute. Also the game is short - about 10 hours so it's a big benefit.
I've played this game on PS5 so I expected 60 FPS and better graphics probably. But unfortunately Ubisoft doesn't thing it makes sense to update not very new games. So as a result I got experience even worse than on PS4 because sometimes, especially indoors I had some weird and annoying light blinks. It seems it's because not the best backward compatibility. However I've finished the main story + all side missions(except fist fights and races) + all DLCs and I could say that this game is good. There is no such wow-effect as it was after those crowds in Unity buy at least there are stable about 30FPS. Probably it's the first AC game I smiled after character's jokes - humour is good sometimes. Graphics is almost the same as in Unity but more London-specific of course. Environment design is awesome as usually in Assassins Creed. It's just a pleasure to just walk through London streets and to look around. Of course world is not that RDR2 or GTAV level but the evolution is visible. Gameplay could be easily characterised as a generic-assassins-creed gameplay. The same is about main story. Side quests sometimes funny but sometimes boring. Anyway I'm looking forward to play Origins to see the next step of the evolution. As I know combat system has been re-worked there so I hope won't be so boring.
Played Ultimate Edition on PS5 so had no problems with performance. It's quite hard to assess this game because it is not AAA game so you can't blame it for almost absent cutscenes but at the same moment existing briefing cutscenes are too boring. Also all these notes and letters are sort of empty - stories in them are very similar like "In Bla-bla town we've found bla-bla altered item and delievered it to Bureau". Game characters are blank as well. Only Ahti has some preconditions to be an interesting character but even he is not written well. But from the other side combat system is awesome. Who cares about not that good lore if you can during levitation throw 3 pieces of concrete into an enemy or better into 3 different enemies :)
After Blood&Truth I've though that I saw everything what PS VR could propose. But Saints & Sinners it's another level. It's sort of open world VR game with zombies. It took about 12-15 hours to finish the main line and you can proceed playing, looting, fighting zombies etc. It's supercool here to kill zombies with melee weapon. Use guns only for people!!! And craft catana - catana is awesome!!
I like this game first of all because it's Hidetaka Miyazaki style game. It's a mystery which become absolutely clear for you only at the very end of the game. And the truth is not that good as in fairy tales for children. Gameplay is sort of relaxing, there is no rush, it's sort of point and click game. Graphics is good as far as you understand the hardware possibilities. It would be great if game has more interactive items but for the first try it's ok. Looking forward for next game of Hidetaka :)
The weakest part of the new trilogy but still a good game. Visual part of the game is awesome. But I don't like jungles setting and Maya/Inca stuff. Also the story is not that good as previous parts. But in any case still worth to play to know the final of the trilogy.
It's a AAA VR game. Probably the 1st one. HL:Alyx has been released later. And the game is great. I especially liked that level in a hotel when you use a shotgun in small rooms and halls - that impact from shots is freaking awesome. The main recommendation - play the game ONLY WITH PS MOVES!!! I've beat it for 2 evenings and it's a pity that there are no more games like this on PS VR. But it seems it will be a part 2 on new PS VR so looking forward for it.
This part of Sherlock Holmes adventures is step forward comparing with previous Crimes and Punishments part. There are much more action in the game(QTE but still action :)). There is even a stealth mechanic exists in the game. There are 4 stories in the game and one main story. Stories have more content than in previous game. Big benefit of this part are streets of London. They are very good made but not very much used. What is not good is that load screens are too long even on PS4 Pro. In any case after this game I'm looking forward for Sherlock Holmes Chapter One game.
When I've launched this game I didn't expect nothing. I though it's just a AA game which I probably play for a few hours and delete afterwards. And it's really AA game but it's a good AA game. Visual part is very good for a PS3 game. As it is sort of point and click adventure there is no action in the game but is't probably the benefit. I've beat several action games before so such calm gameplay was sort of rest for me. The game consists of 6 detective cases and cases are really interesting and not very obvious. There are several minigames in games and they are good except armwrestling mini game - it's not that easy as it could be :) I would recommend this game to all who likes meditative gameplay and for people who likes detectives and Sherlock Holmes stories.
After RE6 sevenths part is very, very good. It's the RE we like. The story, graphics, gameplay, atmosphere are great. Some moments are really scary. I'm afraid to play it in VR :) Of course the best part of game is first part because you don't understand what is going all and how it's even possible. Capcom made a great game! One drawback it probably a shooting mechanic - the impact is not that good.
Probably the worst RE game I've ever played (I played all numeric parts). After great 4th part, good 5th part this one is very so so game. Main antagonist is much worse than Albert Wesker. The story is not that good. Gameplay is like a bad clone of Call of Duty with zombies. 4 campaigns looks like Capcom didn't get with single good campaign. And they created 4 bad instead. The fact that every single minute we have some epic explosions and crashes is good for first several hours. After a few hours of unstoppable booms it made me tired of that. Ada Wong looks worse than in Resident Evil 4. WTF Capcom? But I still recommend this game to play because sometimes it's really good, some bosses are cool, campaigns for Ada Wong(especially episodes when she is in ventilation) and Leon are good. Some cinematic moments are also great. And also it seems it's t he longest Resident Evil game so amount of content is huge. The main issue that we love Resident Evil series for a but different things...
Game is very underrated. Of course it's not that good as previous Resident Evil 4 but it still a great game with great story, good gameplay and that RE atmosphere. Also this game uncovers many mysteries and finishes some important characters stories :) Also DLC in Spencer's mansion is awesome!
I don't know how but the PS2 game in 2021 still much better than almost all new games. The plot, gameplay and atmosphere are awesome. Of course graphics is not that good but it's not the main aspect of the game. After beating it I'm afraid of Spanish language :) ¡Cógelo! ¡Cógelo! ¡Cógelo!
Played this game on PC many years ago and now in 2021 on PS4Pro and it still very good. Square Enix did a great reboot. The only thing I don't like is that some magic/fantasy stuff is present in all 3 rebooted Tomb Raider games but probably it's their the only drawback.
These is only one thing I don't like it this game - it's ending. It's sort of rough and not self-explanatory. Event after watching all possible ending in youtube I'm not sure how the scenario works. In such a genre as interactive movie I think scenario should be better. It's not bad but could be better. But in any case game is short - about 2 hours so it totally worths to go through it.
Played it on PS4Pro on release and it was playable. There are were no major bugs, crashes every 3 hours were not very often because I don't have so much free time to play more than 3 hours per day. So technically game is not the purest release but it's sort of ok. Graphics is not good on PS4Pro. After TLOU2 and Ghost of Tsushima such level of visual is unacceptable but at the same time sometimes game generates awesome frames. The best part of the game is plot, atmosphere, city, characters, lor etc. This part is freaking awesome. I remember names of all key characters, I remember their stories. Because they are interesting. Even this aspect of game worths to assess it as 10 out of 10. Also I'm setting 10 because I want to have more single player releases in future. Otherwise we'll have that online **** like fortnite or genshin impact. One more thing about Cyberpunk - sometimes it reminds me first parts of Fallout - Fallout 1 and Fallout 2. Guests, game stories are well written and they make you believe in them.
I played Unity in 2020 on PS4Pro. I expected at least 30 FPS but not had them :) Even 5 years after release game is still running about 20-25 FPS even on PS4Pro. So technically it's sort of fail. But other aspects of the game are awesome. Except story - plot is sort of "generic Ubisoft storyline". Best parts of the game are graphics, atmosphere, Paris, crowds(there are huge!!) and even humor sometimes. I even planned to finish all side-quests but then Cyberpunk released so not sure if will finish them. But in any case game is worth to be played at least to walk through french revolution and to see Notre-Dame de Paris.
This game is not good and not bad. It's just a spinoff of Black Flag. And this is sort of unnecessary game. I've beat it about 3 weeks ago and remember almost nothing :) But at the same time you must play it if you want to know the full Black Flag story.
This AC game has all the advantages of Black Flag but the story is much better and more solid. Also last see battle was sort of challenge. Don't miss that part if like AC series.
This part of AC even in 2020 looks good. Story is sort of trivial the same as in other Ubisoft game but gameplay, setting and atmosphere is awesome. Sea battles are probably the best in industry. Graphics is very good considering it's a PS3 game of course.
