Crime Scene Cleaner10
Apr 22, 2025
What I thought would be a game like Power Wash Simulator, became so much more. I never like PWS, but this, this is on another level. It feels like an RPG where you level up your skills and complete quests to clean up crime scenes. Now, when all is said and done, I would have rated this an 8. What makes it a 10 is the humor. Not before you call me a psychopath, hear me out. The comments the “cleaner” makes had me laughing out loud. 99.9 of the games I’ve played can’t do that. Come for the gore, stay for the humor. My surprise game of the year so far.

Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot9
Apr 19, 2025
In the vein of Vampire Survivors, comes Slime 3K. The thing I love about this game is the way you level up your weapons. Two Tier 1 weapons gets you a Tier 2 weapon. Then buying another Two Tier 1 weapons gets you another Tier 2 weapon. Then buying yet another two Tier 1 weapons gets you another Tier 2 weapon which, and here’s the good part, combines both Tier 2 weapons to grant you a Tier 3 weapon. Follow me so far. When you understand this mechanic, then the game becomes fun because there is a risk and reward at play. And this is only for the D level weapons. There are also C, B, and A level weapons. I really think I’m psychotic for explaining all this for a five dollar game, but since NOBODY is reviewing this poor little game that could, I wanted to explain why the game is fun. Good night.

New World: Aeternum9

Played Throne and Liberty before playing this, and New World is much better. The combat is similar to an action RPG whereas Throne and Liberty is just tab selection. The only negative is the 20 FPS frame rate in towns (it’s 60 FPS everywhere else).

Technically, it works well. The platforming is precise. Everything else is poor. Blurry graphics, an even blurrier map, too much backtracking, weak level design, the whole game world looks the same. It’s a shame, so many poor indie game developers can’t sell their games and this happens to be the critical darling. I don’t get it.

EVERSPACE 29
Aug 19, 2023
The game is really a 10, but I have to give it a 9 because of the stuttering issues on Xbox Series X that occur during space battles. I am sure they will be patched since the PS5 version runs without issue. Great open world, excellent mission design and 60 FPS (something Starfield can’t even do). I thought Chorus was a great game, but Everspace 2 tops it in every way. I haven’t had this much fun since playing Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. There is at least 80 hrs of gameplay and I plan on putting in all 80 hrs or more.

I was looking for a new deck builder game and this game seemed interesting and different. Well, it is definitely different in a bad way. The gameplay is way too chaotic and using cards as one button presses as attacks does not work well here. The game really is a mess and I regretted my purchase. I deleted it after 30 min of play.

Addictive platformer which pushes you to discover every last inch of its game levels. Great fun for the 7-8 hours It took to finish it. Framerates drop a bit in the later levels, but not so much that it affects gameplay.

I am really baffled on the universal hate on this game. It is a good open world game with a ton of fun stuff to do. If you like GTA style open world games, you will love it. I did not find it repetitive at all. The only downside is that the game crashes a lot, but hopefully this will be fixed in a patch. Just play the game yourself before you judge it so harshly.

Dec 27, 2021
Amazing graphics, 60 FPS on Series X, cool space combat. Only issue is that mission markers are a bit confusing and you will wander aimlessly before triggering the next event. There is a definite learning curve to triggering missions and the tutorial should have explained how you have to hit the “A” button when in the area of a mission marker to see where to go next. Other than that, solid space shooter in a genre that is notoriously underrepresented.

Based on the campaign alone, this is a great Halo game. I love the new grappling hook mechanic which makes traversing the mountain areas a lot more manageable. Mixing some open world elements with classic Halo gameplay was the right move for this franchise. It was hard for me to find any fault with it. Ultra smooth 60 FPS, great new weapons & enemies and good upgrades makes this a winner. Only fault is the graphics aren’t going to blow you away, but they do the job.

Here’s the thing. The game is god awful for the first 4 hours. I almost quit playing. Then gradually things start to come together. If you like open world games, you will like this as well. The battle system is ok, nothing great. The open world was nice and I like the mission structure. If the game was $40 and it started off strong, this would be an 8 or 9.

At first the game seems ok on Xbox One X, then the action starts and the frame rate drops to 15-20 FPS. When a game forces me to stop playing due to bad performance, it gets a 0 from me. Do not buy this game unless you have a high end PC. It will be fixed in 6-9 months, but this release is unacceptable. This practice of releasing broken games has to stop. Vote with your wallets, it the only language they understand.

If you liked previous Watch Dogs games, you will love this one. It really improves on a lot of mechanics, the hacking is fun, being able to ride on top of a drone is great. I am enjoying the game and it looks great on the Xbox One X. Wish it was 60 FPS, but runs well at 30 FPS. The play as anyone mechanic is not a gimmick, it really adds to the complexity of the game and I see myself playing this one for a while. I will definitely be picking up the DLC for it as well.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning9
Sep 10, 2020
To the people who say the Xbox 360 version looks the same, I say you have not played that version for a while. 4K/60 FPS makes this feel like a much better version of the original game. The colors in the new version also "pop" a lot more than the old version (HDR maybe?). It was ahead of its time upon release and the gameplay has stood the test of time. The combat makes this one of the most "fun" RPGs I have played in some time. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is because the Day 1 patch came out on Day 2 so I lost 3 1/2 hours of game play playing on Day 1 ( I deleted my saves because they are not compatible with new patch). Besides this snag, I am glad I picked this game up and I am having a lot of fun with it.

I feel it is my civic duty to rate this game a 0. It will never compare to NFL 2K5 which came out 15 years ago. Go play Madden 2001 and tell me that this game is really all that different other than updated graphics and roster. The animations have always been stiff and it feels like players are on swivels. Seriously, guys - stop buying Madden - you are just contributing to the same garbage being released year after year.

DOOM Eternal10
Mar 23, 2020
I can honestly say that Doom Eternal is one of the BEST first person shooters of ALL time. The shooting the enemy mechanics are a game changer. You basically get health, armor and ammo based on how you kill enemies. It's 30 seconds of fun repeated that does not get old. There is a constant dance of managing your survival with how you dispose of your enemies. Everything is just so polished with 60 FPS and 4K. The ONLY negative is that the multiplayer is a bit unbalanced where the demons have a big advantage over the slayer, but I am sure these issues will be resolved. It is a BUY and comes HIGHLY recommended.

The game is 9, but I am giving it a 10 because of all the undeserved hate it is getting. The first 3 hours are a 7 which tells me most reviewers didn't play past the 3 hr point. But you know what? The game gets a LOT better the more you play. It's as good as any AAA open world title out there. Kind of reminds me of a cross between Last of Us and Red Dead Redemption.

World War Z9
Apr 18, 2019
This is Left 4 Dead 3 as far as I'm concerned. There are a total of 11 levels. I played the first 2 levels and thought it was ok. However, the more I played through the campaign, the more impressive this game becomes. The level design is amazing and the the numerous zombies on screen really make this game stand out. There are literally thousands of zombies on screen coming after you and it really is quite fun to mow them all down. I can see myself playing this game on all 5 difficulties. The only negative is 30 FPS on consoles. If it was 60 FPS, this game would have received a 10 from me.

Love the gameplay. Hate the performance. Framerate runs from 25-30 FPS. I emailed the developer to see why the game doesn't run at 60 FPS (the graphics are very simple). Did not get a response. It is the same gameplay loop over and over, but it is framed like a rogue-like. A decent game for the short term, but doesn't run as well as it should (I think the PC version runs at 60).

Jumped back in after not playing for 8 years (never finished the game). It plays great and being 60 FPS makes a big difference. Just one tip, don't try facing enemies at a higher level than you (you will die a lot).

Very good MMO. Looks great and very good battle system. I wish it explained all the side stuff like hiring workers and investing ( I am still confused). There are a ton of quests and the game is very big. Only negatives are the frame rate can dip sometimes and the release of the game was shady in the beginning (I pre-ordered the game at 30 bucks, then found out it was 10 bucks after release), There was no option to pre-order at 10 bucks which is very shady. Nevertheless, the 30 bucks option includes a pet which picks up all the loot for you which is convenient.

Devil May Cry 54
Mar 12, 2019
All sizzle and no steak. Graphics are great, but that's about it. The game is basically go in a room, lock the doors, beat a bunch of guys up and go to the next room. This type of game design was popular in the 90's, but is unacceptable in this day and age. This is close to being the most repetitive and boring game I have played in 10 years (and I play everything). Where is the innovation? The level design is so drab (wait until you play level 8) and the story is really bad. This game tries to be God of War and fails miserably. Devil May Cry 2 was better than this!

Just Cause 48
Dec 5, 2018
Playing on Xbox One X First, the good: It's Just Cause, so destruction and explosions are front and center. The game is incredibly fun. The physics and using the new devices bring another level of craziness to the open world genre. A ton of stuff to do The new map system and using recruits to take over regions is new and pretty neat The bad: Mostly more of the same from JC3 The game seems kind of dark in some areas for some reason - maybe HDR is not used correctly in the game The graphics are not the best, but good enough The story is non-existent Why no reviews for the console versions of this game? PC reviews are everywhere. Seems Avalanche knows the game is not up to snuff on the consoles. Overall: If you are a Just Cause fan, you will love it. Although the graphics are not top level, they are good enough to enjoy the game. Seems suspicious that there are no console reviews up yet. I suspect Avalanche had to dial down the graphics to make game run better because of all the physics going on. The game is a lot of fun and if you look at the game from that viewpoint, you will enjoy it.
