Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West is a visually breathtaking open-world adventure that builds impressively on the foundation set by its predecessor. Aloy’s journey through the vibrant, post-apocalyptic western United States is filled with lush environments, diverse biomes, and robotic creatures that are as dangerous as they are stunning. The combat system is fluid and rewarding, offering a great mix of strategy, weapon variety, and mobility. The game’s world is massive and packed with engaging side quests, secrets, and lore that enrich the experience. The narrative explores themes of survival, knowledge, and human ambition, with strong performances and cinematic moments that keep you invested. While the pacing occasionally slows down and some mechanics can feel overwhelming, the overall experience is incredibly polished. With top-tier graphics, immersive gameplay, and meaningful character development, Forbidden West is a must-play for fans of action RPGs and open-world exploration.

The best Spider-Man game to date. Addictive combat, though I wish it had been more challenging (and I played it on the highest difficulty). Visually stunning and runs beautifully. Kraven, Lizard, Venom, Black Suit Spider-Man? It was pretty clear the story was going to be excellent — and it doesn’t disappoint. Takes about 20–30 hours to complete. Way too short for my taste. I would’ve loved to spend more time swinging through NYC and facing more challenges. Great game. Buy it without hesitation.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach

I’m enjoying Death Stranding 2 like you wouldn’t believe. I played the first one and thought it was a good game, but its gameplay mechanics didn’t fully hook me. What kept me engaged were the mysteries and questions Kojima was trying to explore through the story. But this second part? I’m enjoying absolutely everything. I love spending those minutes carefully planning my routes, my inventory, my protective gear — even checking the weather to avoid any dangerous areas. The combat — which I now engage in more — feels much more balanced. Before, the whole “having to cremate bodies” mechanic made me avoid fighting, but in this game, they’ve handled it so well that it’s actually enjoyable now. Plus, we have more and better weapons this time around. The new rail system is phenomenal. I absolutely love it. I feel the story doesn’t hit quite as hard as the first one, but it’s still very good. Visually, I’d go as far as to say it’s the best-looking game available on consoles right now. No other game looks and runs as well as Death Stranding 2. It’s truly on another level in terms of graphical fidelity and performance. It’s the kind of game where I stop checking the time and suddenly realize four hours have passed. It’s seriously addictive. A strong contender for Game of the Year — though the competition is definitely tight this year.

Black Myth: Wukong is a bold and beautiful entry into the action RPG genre. It might not reinvent the wheel in terms of gameplay mechanics, but it executes its vision with polish and style. Fans of mythological storytelling and challenging combat will find a lot to love here.

Only play it if you’re a Star Wars fan and enjoy keeping up with all the stories told across the different entertainment mediums. That’s the only way you’ll really get any enjoyment out of this game. No way should you pay full price for this. Wait until it’s heavily discounted.

SIFU

Sifu is a fast-paced, lightweight, and VERY CHALLENGING game (if you choose to play on higher difficulties), with little focus on story—it’s pure, intense action. If you’re a fan of martial arts and Japanese culture surrounding it, you’re going to love this game. I’d recommend waiting for a major discount to buy it, or for it to be offered for free or added to the PS Plus Extra game catalog.

Final Fantasy XVI

Final Fantasy XVI is a decent game. Nothing more. It goes for a Devil May Cry-style combat system that’s genuinely engaging. The story is well-crafted, and the first half of the game is excellent. The second half drops off a bit but still maintains a solid level that keeps you playing. My biggest issue with FFXVI is that if they’re going to embrace this kind of combat, the game should be more difficult. Not a single boss killed me more than once. If I add up all the times I died during the entire playthrough, I’d say maybe four or five at most — even on hard mode, since I earned the platinum trophy. Another issue is how linear the world is. They should have focused on bringing more life to this beautiful world and lore they created. Some cities and environments feel empty. Overall, it’s a good game, but it won’t leave a lasting mark and will likely fade into the background over time.

A Plague Tale: Requiem

Requiem builds on the foundations of Innocence and delivers a very solid sequel. It improves the combat with some new mechanics, an interesting skill tree, and an even more powerful and melancholic story. In the future, they should aim to bring more life to the cities or environments within the semi-open world. This would create greater immersion and represent a major leap in quality.

Simply beautiful. Excellent soundtrack, top-tier story, great plot twists, and a refreshed, innovative turn-based combat system. Its weak point is that the open world can sometimes lack variety and feel a bit lifeless in the environments where the story unfolds. This is what Final Fantasy should have been when entering the 21st century. A must-play.

Amazing experience. The Witcher 3 is more than a game; it’s an experience. There is a perfect balance between its story, combat, RPG elements, and soundtrack. I've finished it countless times and still feel immersed in its entire world. Everyone who is a fan not only of the Geralt of Rivia saga should play it, but anyone who calls themselves a fan of video games, as it has become a cult classic.
