Lost Records: Bloom & Rage4
Dec 14, 2025
The game is pretty boring. It has nothing in common with the great DON'T NOD games. The graphics are great, but that's about it. The story is dull, with way too much talking. The teenagers are overly politically correct and vandalize everything. I hope the next game will be better.

Metaphor: ReFantazio4
Aug 24, 2025
Feels a bit like a cheap version of Persona 5. I enjoyed the original Persona 5 and while Metaphor is now available in GamePass I gave it a try. Many people love it but for me it's just a boring kind of Persona version with different names in another dimension with music that is okay but nothing more than that. Too much dialogue. I really wanted this to be my taste but unfortunalety we will not bond and won't become companions.

DOOM: The Dark Ages10
Aug 24, 2025
I've never played DOOM before so I cannot compare it to its predecessors. The gameplay is so much fun. Its fast, full of action, and stuffed with different weapons and mechanics. I don't care much about the story. The graphics are great. Can't wait to play more.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach1
Jun 28, 2025
Death Stranding 2 has great graphics and a fitting soundtrack. The gameplay feels linear and lacks innovation, offering little excitement unless delivering packages is your passion. The open world is pretty empty. The inclusion of the child feels more like a distraction, interrupting the flow and it's annoying me. Also there is too much talking going on.

Revenge of the Savage Planet4
May 29, 2025
“Revenge of the Savage Planet” does not deliver an engaging experience. The quests feel uninspired, making progression more of a chore than an adventure. The repetitive music quickly becomes tedious rather than immersive. The use of dialogue (the EKO talk can be reduced) is excessive and often unnecessary, dragging down the pacing instead of adding humor.

It's boring and has a very slow combat system. The standard controller settings are weird, but it can be remapped ingame. The game looks nice and runs smooth. We tried it in coop and didn't enjoy it. Just not my time of game.

Crime Scene Cleaner8
May 4, 2025
Crime Scene Cleaner impresses with a simple concept: restoring order from chaos. The before-and-after transformation of each level is satisfying. It starts as a messy, chaotic scene and turns into a spotless environment. The variety of locations keeps things engaging, and the mechanics feel intuitive and enjoyable. The soundtrack could have been more powerful. 'Cleaning music' so to say. The story was okay, but I don't need an awesome epic story all the time. A special highlight for me was the dog! Great game, good level design, a bit of physics and mechanics. I like the humor of the main character.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion8
May 2, 2025
I love the original Final Fantasy VII. I've played the PS1 version on my PS2 many years ago. Because I've never owned a PSP, I couldn't play Crisis Core. I'm glad, it was released on Steam. The game looks fantastic (compared to the original PSP release). I enjoyed the narrative, which enhanced my knowledge about the original FFVII. It was very interesting to learn more about Zack, his journey and Cloud's background. The gameplay was fun, it was different, but fun. I don't know the original CC version but I hope they've just redone it the way it was on PSP. (Not like the completely different FFVII Remakes.)

Final Fantasy IX8
May 2, 2025
Final Fantasy IX is a charming and entertaining JRPG that bears a Wizard of Oz atmosphere, wrapped in an interesting story. The game’s length feels just right. The soundtrack is exceptional. I like to listen to it during a work day. While some mechanics didn’t resonate with me as much as in other Final Fantasy titles, the ability to play with mods on PC significantly improved the experience. I highly recommend playing the Steam Version with mods. The game will feel and look better. Back in the day, I started playing the PS1 version on my PS2 but stopped after about ten hours. Returning to the game about 20 years later with mods made a difference for me and improved the game.

May 2, 2025
Expedition 33 is an absolute masterpiece. From start to finish, I was captivated by its brilliant storytelling, immersive gameplay, and sheer creativity. Years ago, Final Fantasy X was my first turn-based RPG, and it left a lasting impression on me. Claire Obscure has managed to create something just as enchanting, and I can only wish the studio the very best for the future. The characters are written very great, the fantasy world is beautifully crafted with so much love, and the music is a masterpiece. I loved the humor and nuances in the whole project. For me, this is a Game of the Year contender.

Apr 23, 2025
The Talos Principle 2 impresses with its stunning visuals and a soundtrack that perfectly complements the puzzle-solving experience. The puzzles are creative and rewarding, keeping players engaged throughout. The new approach felt strange at first, but the story unfolded beautifully. The long distances between levels were sometimes tedious, and the overworld laser puzzles didn’t appeal to me. A must-play for puzzle enthusiasts.

Alan Wake II6
Apr 23, 2025
Alan Wake 2 impresses with its stunning graphics and a mostly engaging story. I felt entertained up to a certain point, but unfortunately, many sections repeat themselves over and over. This could have been handled better to avoid the predictable progression. I frequently encountered bugs—some amusing, others forcing me to reload. The involvement of Sweet Baby Inc. is bothersome, preventing me from giving the game the rating I would have liked. Hopefully, the developers will fully pursue their own vision in the next game, without changing characters or insulting a large part of their players. You don’t need that, Remedy.

Frostpunk10
Apr 12, 2025
A Chillingly Addictive Experience! Frostpunk is a game that - for me - stands out as a masterpiece of strategy and survival. At its core, it’s a challenging and deeply motivating experience—one that demands persistence, as the learning curve can feel steep at first. Once you grasp its mechanics, the sense of accomplishment is unparalleled. The game’s design is nothing short of brilliant. The mechanics are thoughtfully crafted, offering a balance of complexity and accessibility. Whether you’re rationing scarce resources, making gut-wrenching moral decisions, or tweaking the laws of your frozen society, every choice matters. The immersion is second to none, with the game’s atmosphere pulling you into its harsh, apocalyptic world. Visually, Frostpunk is still awesome in 2025. From the intricate details of the snow-covered city to the visual effects of the relentless cold, it’s clear that a lot of love and effort went into its presentation. The soundtrack deserves special mention—it's an absolute masterpiece. The additional DLCs elevate the experience even further. They’re incredibly creative, each offering fresh perspectives and new challenges. One particular level stands out as exceptionally intereseting. I've played Frostpunk for many hours and love to come back. Frostpunk has become one of my favorite games of all time. Sadly, Frostpunk 2 doesn’t quite capture the same magic as its predecessor for me.

Ashen4
Nov 3, 2024
Ashen, a Souls-like action RPG, attempts to carve its niche in the crowded genre but ultimately falls short of leaving a lasting impression. One of the most immediately noticeable aspects of Ashen is its unique art style. The game opts for a minimalist, faceless character design and a muted color palette. The lack of facial features on characters makes it difficult to connect with them emotionally, and the overall aesthetic fails to create a truly engaging world. Ashen's combat system closely mimics that of Dark Souls, featuring stamina-based actions and methodical, weighty movements. The combat feels sluggish and unresponsive, lacking precise controls. Adding to the frustration is the game's punishing difficulty. Enemies deal massive amounts of damage, often feeling unfairly balanced rather than providing a rewarding challenge. This issue is exacerbated by occasional bugs that can lead to unexpected deaths or gameplay inconsistencies. One of Ashen's most disappointing aspects is its approach to multiplayer. The game forces players to invest a significant amount of time - approximately an hour - before unlocking the ability to play cooperatively.

Diablo III9
Nov 3, 2024
Diablo 3 stands out for its variety of gameplay options. With numerous classes and builds to experiment with, there’s always something new to discover. The game skillfully introduces new mechanics over time, keeping the experience fresh and exciting. One of the highlights of my time with Diablo 3 has been playing with friends. The cooperative mode is excellently implemented, making the game a great experience. Exploring dungeons together, defeating bosses, and collecting loot significantly enhances the fun factor. The world and boss design in Diablo 3 is impressive. Each area is meticulously crafted, contributing to the dark atmosphere of the game. The bosses are memorable and fun. The storyline features intriguing twists that keep players engaged. The lore of the Diablo universe is skillfully expanded, making it particularly interesting for fans of the series.
A major strength of Diablo 3 is its high replay value. With various difficulty levels, seasonal content, and the constant pursuit of better gear, the game remains captivating even after many hours of play. Diablo 3 was quite hardware-intensive, which posed challenges for some players. Note: I started playing after the removal of the real-money auction house.

Bayonetta10
Nov 3, 2024
Having played Bayonetta on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, with the most time spent on the Xbox 360, I can confidently say that this game stands as the best in the series. While the PS3 version suffered from notably slow loading times, the overall experience on the Xbox 360 was exceptional. Nowadays I prefer the Steam version. Bayonetta offers a thrilling gameplay experience that is challenging and rewarding. The combat mechanics are finely tuned, allowing for a seamless blend of combos and special moves. This game demands skill and precision, making every encounter feel engaging and intense. The focus on gameplay is evident, providing a rich and varied action experience that keeps players coming back for more.
The soundtrack of Bayonetta is nothing short of fantastic, perfectly complementing the high-octane action with memorable tracks that enhance the overall atmosphere. Coupled with interesting levels, the game creates a vibrant world filled with diverse environments.
Bayonetta serves as a clear climax of the series, showcasing everything that makes it great. The variety in gameplay keeps each level feeling fresh, whether you're battling angels or engaging in epic boss fights. As one of my favorite games of all time, Bayonetta has left a lasting impression on me. Its combination of superb gameplay, captivating music, and unique design elements make it a standout title in the action genre. For fans of challenging and stylish combat games, Bayonetta is an absolute must-play. It is also way faster than games like DMC.

Bayonetta 22
Nov 3, 2024
Bayonetta 2, while attempting to recapture the magic of its predecessor, ultimately falls short in several key areas, making it the weakest entry in the series. Despite efforts to build upon the foundation laid by the original, Bayonetta 2's gameplay feels less refined and designed for noobs. The combat, while still flashy, lacks the tight responsiveness and depth that made the first game so engaging. This regression in gameplay quality is particularly noticeable for fans of the original, leaving a sense of disappointment. One of the game's most significant drawbacks is the introduction of Loki, Bayonetta's new sidekick. His presence often detracts from the main narrative, shifting focus away from Bayonetta's journey to rescue Jeanne and onto his own less compelling storyline. The enemy design in Bayonetta 2 is a mixed bag. While it manages to be more appealing than what we see in Bayonetta 3, it still doesn't quite reach the heights of the original game. The angels and demons provide some visual variety, but they lack the memorable impact of the first game's adversaries. The game's level design is inconsistent, with some areas suffering from poor structure. This leads to a less cohesive and satisfying progression through the game, impacting the overall flow of the adventure. Compared to the original Bayonetta, this sequel feels shallower in terms of narrative and character development. The attempt to echo the first game's story structure results in a less original and impactful experience, leaving players with a sense that something is missing.

Bayonetta 33
Nov 3, 2024
As a huge fan of the first game, I had high hopes for this sequel, but it ultimately left me disillusioned and uninterested in continuing with the series. While it does improve on some aspects, the game stumbles in crucial areas that detract from the overall experience. The combat system in Bayonetta 3 shows refinement, offering a more fluid and engaging experience compared to its direct predecessor Bayonetta 2. The responsive controls and expanded move set provide satisfying moments during battles, showcasing the series' trademark over-the-top action. Considering the limitations of the Nintendo Switch hardware, Bayonetta 3 manages to deliver impressive visuals. The game's art direction and graphical fidelity are commendable, pushing the console's capabilities to create a visually striking world. One of the game's major drawbacks is the introduction of Viola, a new playable character. Her presence feels forced and disruptive to the established dynamics of the series. Viola's segments often break the flow of the game and fail to capture the charm that made Bayonetta herself so iconic. The game also includes playable sections featuring Jeanne, Bayonetta's longtime ally. While the idea might seem interesting on paper, these segments feel superfluous and detract from the main storyline, adding little value to the overall experience. Perhaps the most jarring aspect of Bayonetta 3 is its enemy design. The game inexplicably shifts away from the series' established lore of witches, demons, and angels, introducing "man-made bio-weapons" as primary antagonists. This departure feels completely out of place and fails to capture the essence of what made the Bayonetta universe so unique and compelling.

New Pokemon Snap8
Nov 3, 2024
New Pokémon Snap successfully captures the charm and nostalgia of its predecessor while introducing a wealth of new features and stunning visuals. This game is enjoyable and serves as a perfect way to unwind after a long day at work. The core gameplay revolves around exploring various environments in an on-rails format, akin to a shooter but focused on photography. Players navigate through beautifully designed settings, capturing photos of Pokémon in their natural habitats. The game does an excellent job of keeping the experience fresh with multiple locations, each offering unique Pokémon interactions and surprises. The ability to revisit stages at different times of day adds depth, allowing players to encounter different Pokémon and scenarios based on their Research Level.
New Pokémon Snap shines with vibrant colors and detailed environments. The visual fidelity surpasses many other titles on the Nintendo Switch, showcasing the Pokémon in a way that feels alive and engaging. The game’s art direction is complemented by charming animations that breathe life into both Pokémon and their surroundings. The game is designed to be a cozy experience. The game’s pacing allows players to take their time, making it suitable for casual play sessions. The addition of features like photo editing enhances this relaxed vibe, letting players personalize their favorite shots.
As a sequel to the original Pokémon Snap, this game does an admirable job of expanding on the foundation laid by its predecessor. It introduces new mechanics that encourage exploration and creativity while retaining the essence that made the first game beloved by fans.

Dead Island 24
Nov 3, 2024
Dead Island 2, the long-awaited sequel to the 2011 original, fails to deliver on its promise of an exciting zombie-slaying experience. Despite its decent graphics and co-op functionality (it's one of those games where you have to play for about an hour, after you are allowed to join one another), the game falls short in several key areas, resulting in a repetitive and ultimately unsatisfying gameplay experience.
One of the most glaring issues with Dead Island 2 is its monotonous gameplay loop. Players are constantly forced to open doors and gates, creating artificial barriers to progression instead of allowing for more dynamic movement through the environment. This design choice feels outdated and frustrating, especially when compared to modern open-world games that offer more freedom of movement.
The combat system, which should be the cornerstone of any zombie game, feels poorly balanced. The balance between weapons and enemies is off-kilter, leading to encounters that lack satisfaction or you are silmply overrun. In this case you doin't have to start all over, since the enemies keep the damage. This imbalance diminishes the sense of progression and excitement that should come from upgrading weapons and facing tougher foes.
Graphically, Dead Island 2 is adequate but not exceptional. While the game's visuals are generally acceptable, the overuse of film grain effects detracts from the overall visual experience. This artistic choice feels unnecessary and can be distracting, potentially impacting player immersion.
Even when played in co-op mode, which should theoretically enhance the fun factor, Dead Island 2 struggles to overcome its fundamental flaws. The addition of other players (it can be played with 3 players max.) does little to alleviate the tedium of repetitive tasks or improve the unbalanced combat encounters.

Frostpunk 26
Oct 20, 2024
As a dedicated fan of the original Frostpunk, I approached Frostpunk 2 with both excitement and scepticism. Unfortunately, the new systems felt like a far cry from its predecessor for me, resembling more of an Anno in the snow than the gritty survival game I adored.
The developers’ attempt to innovate is understandable, but in doing so, they've alienated many loyal fans. The once-charismatic city now feels impersonal and anonymous, stripping away the charm that made the first game so captivating. Individual characters seem insignificant, lost in a faceless crowd, which makes it hard to care about their fate. I don't ever care about the weather anymore. The districts are redudant and restrictive. The new mechanics give the game a completely different vibe. Despite giving it a fair shot, it just didn’t resonate with me. It feels like Frostpunk 2 has lost its unique identity, and with it, a lot of what made the original so special.
Nonetheless, I wish the developers all the best and hope that the next game from 11Bit matches my taste again.

Oct 20, 2024
Evil West is a great game when played in co-op mode, reminding me a lot of Remnant from the Ashes. I say: Evil West is my real Remnant 2. :D The game’s setting is intriguingly chosen, blending wild west elements with supernatural horror. You get a diverse set of abilities that keep the gameplay fresh and engaging. I like the combination of gunplay and close combat fighting. The story is well told. Technically, the game isn't perfect. It does have some of bugs, but they're not game-breaking. You might notice the game stuttering when new effects first appear, but it runs smoothly afterward.
The game offers a solid playtime and really shines when you team up with a buddy. Overall, despite its technical hiccups, it's a fun experience, especially in co-op.
