Evil West is a game worthy of 2022 visually but remains in the 90's when it comes to gameplay. It ruins a gripping story, an exciting concept, beautiful graphics and voiceovers with repetitive arena style fights and extremely linear gameplay. Wait for a sale if you want to nail some vampires to the wall.

After crazy Shadow Warrior 3 and toned down Trek to Yomi the Warsaw-based Flying Wild Hog studio offers a new IP that combines Wild West, horror and steampunk. It’s an explosive concoction with a surprisingly complex combat system, but if slaying monsters is not enough for you and you expect a wider range of experiences, Evil West is not a game for you.

Evil West has done something fairly remarkable by dragging the sort of shlocky, B-tier, 360-era action games into 2022 with basically all of the quality-of-life upgrades you’d expect from a modern title. This is how you remember games of 10-odd years ago, as opposed to how they actually play now.

İlerleyiş normal ve tekrar ediyor. Evreni güzel, mekanikler güzel. Bosslar sondaki iki tanesi hariç diğerleri kötü zaten 4 tane boss var. Her bölümde yeni düşman tipi geliyor sona doğru gelmiyor ama olsun bence güzel. Oyunu ben beğendim puanları görünce baya önyargılıydım ama oyun önyargılarımı kırdı oyun bulamazsanız oynayabilirisniz.

Evil West me ha parecido un juegazo. A nivel gráfico es una pasada, el sonido acompaña de lujo, las animaciones están muy bien hechas y la historia engancha bastante más de lo que podría parecer al principio. Tiene mucha personalidad, un estilo muy marcado y un gameplay que se siente contundente y divertido, sobre todo en los combates. Todo lo audiovisual está muy bien cuidado y consigue que la experiencia sea muy bestia.
Eso sí, no todo es perfecto. Tiene algunos bugs visuales y pequeños fallos que, aunque no arruinan la experiencia, sí se notan y a veces te sacan un poco de la inmersión. Y para mí, el mayor punto flojo está en los jefes: faltan bosses de verdad. En total solo hay unos 4 que se sientan como enfrentamientos importantes, mientras que el resto son más bien minibosses reciclados o combates que cumplen, pero sin llegar a impresionar demasiado. Para capítulos iniciales puede colar, pero conforme avanzas se echa en falta más variedad, más épica y más “chicha” en ese apartado.
En resumen, Evil West es un juego muy disfrutable, con una presentación brutal y una base jugable muy sólida, pero que se queda un poco corto en ambición con los jefes y arrastra algunos fallos visuales que le impiden ser todavía mejor.

One of the year's most shocking surprises gives us both an entertaining story and incredibly fun and constantly evolving gameplay.

An excellent action game with terrific combat and spot-on controls. The campaign is at a decent length, but there should have been more to do after clearing it.

I was hesitant about Evil West. Early reviews didn’t sell me, and I kept pushing it down my backlog, unsure if it was worth the time. In hindsight, I regret waiting so long. This game is an absolute blast, and I wish I had played it **** fun kicks in once you get the hang of the game’s mechanics and start playing it the way it was meant to be played. It’s fast-paced, satisfying, and genuinely rewarding once you embrace its rhythm. The combat is chaotic in the best way, combining brutal melee attacks with over-the-top gadgets that keep the action **** then there’s the story. It has this gritty, straightforward charm that reminded me of Gears of War 1. It doesn’t try to cater to a modern audience or cram in unnecessary fluff. Instead, it doubles down on delivering a pulpy, action-packed narrative that keeps you engaged without feeling forced or bloated.Evil West doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it doesn’t need to. It knows exactly what it wants to be: a fun, unapologetic throwback to when games were just about having a good time.

Evil West is very much like a cowboy version of Shadow Warrior 3 that has increased action content. Its combat system is well designed. There are various gun skills which can bring players fresh experiences, but there is not much depth in level design, the puzzle-solving parts also slow down the rhythm. What's more, you can really feel that Evil West lacks polishing in many details, which makes the quality of the game unsatisfying.

Poor writing and some technical issues are not enough to hold back what is otherwise a blast to play. Solo or co-op if a turn-your-brain-off type of kill-a-thon sounds appealing I think this one is worth it.

It's an average game, the graphics are decent but not outstanding, the story is a bit mediocre and very predictable, but the combat is really addictive and kept me glued to the screen a few times, so a solid 7

It made me to spend my time and money in vain. Horrible story, bad gameplay (people say it’s GoW+RDR2 but no that’s another level: JUST HORRIBLE), worst boss fight and map designs… I can’t believe that it made in 2020s because it looks like some of 2010s games that you don’t need to use your brain. You’re doing the same things like 7-8 hours like killing same bosses, solving same puzzles (charge the generator and go on in 500 times) with bad mechanics. I only loved the beginning of the game, next parts are just horrible.

I wanted to love on this game so much, but those bugs, THOSE BUGS. Are horrendous and they have not decided to fix it. It basically isn't playable. I hope they make a sequel and have better alpha/beta playtesting to get those bugs out. Other than that, brillant and fun concpet, just not able to enjoy it.
