A very long game but entertaining and engaging the whole way through. Great well-designed combat, satisfying game loop, addicting side content, great bombastic story full of highly memorable characters. And amazing stylish visual presentation and music.

First time in a long time that I've felt Final Fantasy is back and back in a big way. Changes the formula of the series in some regards, but also keeps a lot of the foundations. Incredible audio/visual presentation. Rich story that's well-written, well-paced, and well-voiced by the cast of interesting characters. Combat feels satisfying and well-balanced. The environments are perfectly designed and detailed and varied. A remarkable accomplishment overall.

In many ways the true sequel to the first Dark Souls. Follows up on a lot of those concepts and mechanics and improves many of them. This has the best boss fights in the series in my opinion. Amazing music, amazing map designs, great build variety, engaging lore and exciting combat. Challenging, but fair.

Follows up on a lot of the greatness from the first game but kind of falters at times to deliver the same memorable experience. I think most things about it are good-great, but some of the map designs are a bit of a misstep to me and some of the boss fights could've been better. But overall a fantastic game with great DLC expansions.

I first played the original release but this is the most recent one I've played. This was my first Souls experience and thus it is highly memorable. Extremely satisfying to beat. Very interesting world to explore. Exciting and challenging boss fights. Interesting lore. Great enemy designs. Great weapon designs and armor designs. Great atmosphere. Incredible map design. Build variety that encourages replays. Legendary game.

Couldn't have done a more faithful and impressive remake of two fantastic legendary games. With the addition of some of the moves from later games such as reverts, this is the definitive THPS experience. The online modes are fun. The challenges are fun. The unlockables are satisfying. The levels themselves feel so good to skate in. The soundtrack, new and old, is mostly great.

Never quite understood the high praise for this. It's great but also pretty boring at parts. Some of the puzzle sections are so mind numbing and unwarranted. Ragnarok does everything better, from combat, to graphics, to music, to characters, to story, to environments, to content.

The definitive Spider-Man experience in video games. The most important part of any Spider-Man game should be how well it feels to actually swing around as him. And they nailed that here. Everything else, the good story, the good combat, the good map, the good graphics, the good side content, is the cherry on top.

This game does a lot of things very well but it's ultimately a little bit disappointing for me. I think the premise has a lot of potential but in some respects they kind of went about it the wrong way design-wise. The general design of the open world needed more fine tuning I think. Or perhaps it shouldn't have been an open world at all. The combat is fun with cool abilities but more could have been done in that department, particularly with boss fights. Visually and atmospherically I think it delivers. Some of the side content feels half-baked. There's too much grind here if you want to go for a completionist run, which I gave up on. Story is interesting and I like how they weave in Japanese mythological lore.

It's a nice change of pace to have new protagonists to play with and get to know, but I do not really like Tanimura. With the addition of the underground map and the rooftops this is perhaps the best version of Kamurocho to explore. The music is great. The story is mostly fine, until the last quarter of the game when RGG decides to write the worst stuff they've ever written. It's so bad that it tanked the game's story for me and ruined one of the core elements of one of the main characters. Decent side content as always for this series, but not as strong as most of the other entries.

Things I like: Kiryu, the orphanage, Okinawa, RIkiya, fishing, some of the sub stories. Things I do not like: Joji, Black Monday, Tamiya, the combat, enemies blocking too much, some of the sub stories.

Incredible remake effort by RGG. Looks great, music is awesome as usual with this series. The Dragon Engine combat is more finely tuned from Yakuza 6. Engrossing story, interesting characters. Great side content. Great maps to explore and fight in.

A fantastic remake. Good story, great characters, good side content, good combat, looks and sounds good. A few lulls in the mission design such as a handful of fetch quests and other missions that seem rather superfluous.

Engaging story, great environment. Great vibes. Great music. 80s Tokyo is so cool. The combat is fun and having two protagonists breaks up the repetitiveness. So funny, too. Great side content. Memorable characters and moments. RGG was cooking.

The zenith (so far) of fantasy adventure in games. No other game has come closer to achieving that raw sense of exploration and adventure in a fantasy setting. Incredible world to discover. New wonders around every corner. An amazing achievement in terms of open world game design. Great build variety. Finely tuned combat from Fromsoft's previous games. Great art direction and music. Great boss fights. Interesting narrative and lore. This is Fromsoft's ultimate culmination of their past 10 years. This is a special generational game.

And thus Zelda continues as the most overrated franchise in gaming. Glorified DLC for Breath of the Wild, which was already a game lacking in meaningful content and good gameplay. I do not understand the hype. Makes me wonder how this would be received if it didn't have 'Zelda' in the title or 'Nintendo' on the box.

Improves upon the first game in every way. Whereas I felt the first game was a slog at times, this one engrossed me almost the entire time. Exciting moments, satisfying gameplay that doesn't get repetitive. Brief puzzles that feel good to solve. Well-paced story. Well written and well voice-acted characters. Looks incredible. Varied environments. Satisfying side content. Good exploration. I only have minor critiques, such as the characters simply talk too much, particularly your companions. It can get annoying.

I don't know how they did it but they somehow managed to make dinosaur robots kind of boring and uninteresting. This game checks a lot of the boxes for success on a technical level. Looks great. Plays well enough. Interesting premise. Open world with lots of stuff to do. But for me the end result is just... kind of boring and it didn't grab me at all. I didn't love the first game either, but I at least felt compelled to finish it.

Incredible on a technical level. Amazing graphics and particle effects. Extremely interesting and enthralling setting and environments. Weird paranatural story that is engrossing. Satisfying combat and cool powers. Fantastic set piece moments. Interesting characters. Likeable and sympathetic protagonist. A lot of the negative user scores on here and elsewhere are from hatenerds who get mad at the very existence of female protagonists.
