Even with some elements from the original release that could have used a little sanding down, Yakuza 3 Remastered is still an worthwhile entry in the series to for longtime fans to experience again. It may not be my favorite sequel, but it’s still a competent and enjoyable one.

Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 have both the best and worst the series has to offer, which is saying something because those highs are so high and the lows really aren’t that bad. All three games run exceptionally well, and 4 and 5 look like they belong on PS4 alongside Yakuza 0. 3 is a bit rough around the edges, but it’s still a worthwhile entry in the series cannon.

While a divisive entry to some, Yakuza 3 remains a highlight of the franchise for me, and it feels good to see this much love given to its restoration.

I actually really enjoyed playing this game. I played it a couple of months after playing 0-2, and I felt like the blood was better in these than the aforementioned games. I'm not sure if it was knowing to grind a bit first, but I really did not have much trouble with any fights in the game, and I felt that the enemy AI blocked about as much as the previous games, which is a common complaint that the AI in 3 block the most out of any of the games. The leveling system left a bit to be desired especially in comparison, and some of the Mack requests I didn't bother with since I couldn't find them and didn't bother to use a guide. I loved how Kiryu was inspired by a kid throwing a temper tantrum and incorporates the double stomp into his moves.

There's no denying that Yakuza 3, even in its remastered form, is rough around the edges -- especially if you're coming off the back of Yakuza 6, Kiwami 2, or Judgment -- but this is still one of the series' better instalments, and for our money, the best of the PS3 Yakuza trilogy.

Приобщившись к серии с первой Kiwami я бесповоротно втюрился в данную игру. Точнее серию). Это настолько гениально на сколько возможно.

Yakuza 3 isn’t the best entry, but it’s great to have it available on newer systems with all the content we previously lost in the West. If you like the series, don’t miss it out.

We were hoping that all the Yakuza PS3 games would get the shiny treatment reserved to the first two chapters, and weìre disappointed that this wouldn't be the case, but Yakuza 3 Remaster is a remaster done right.

Despite occasionally feeling dated, Yakuza 3 still offers a fun experience for fans of the series.

If you've played other entries in the series and just want to experience some cool lore about the world, Yakuza 3 Remaster is the game for you. It's a game all about fanservice, but also the one you can skip if you don't want to retreat familiar waters. If you're new to the series though, this one might not be for you.

Yakuza 3 for PS4 still delivers a great story, with solid characters and many interesting situations, but the game didn't age too well despite the remastered graphics.

The mechanics are really outdated, and the fightings were frustrating. for the first 8-10 hours it's bad after you get used to it so it become a good game.

I really want to like this game, but I just can't. The combat in this one feels like driving a car with square wheels with pedals made out of nails. It works, but it just hurts to do. It's not a hard game by any means, but it just isn't fun. I can't recommend this game to anyone. You might be better off to just watch a summary of the story. It hurts my soul to write this review, because I really love this franchise.
