Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales9
Mar 2, 2026
Decided to replay this game again since my save data got corrupted and I never got to properly review it. I replayed it a couple of times before, and this game is still peak, and I still love it! Really good spin-off to the first game. Miles Morales is the GOAT. I love him and his exaggerated swagger of a black teen. This game definitely has its own identity from the first game in terms of gameplay, aesthetics/visuals, soundtrack, and of course, story. The gameplay is pretty much the same as the first game, but there's the addition of Miles' venom abilities and camouflage. Great additions that spice up the gameplay. This game is shorter than the first game, so there wasn't as much content and side content, but it was still good! I also want to mention that the animations for Miles in this game have SO MUCH SAUCE. You can clearly see this when doing tricks and finishers, so good. The aesthetics and visuals in this game are really good, lowkey better than the first game. I love that this game takes place around Christmas time/winter, swinging around in a snowy New York is so cool and different (in a good way). The soundtrack in this game is REALLY GOOD. It's obvious that it's based on hip-hop, and they executed perfectly; it also fits the vibe and style of Miles, and that's why this soundtrack is great. The story is pretty solid! Not bad at all. Not as crazy as the first game's story, and I prefer that story over this, but the story in MM is still good. To conclude, Spider-Man: Miles Morales is one of my favorite games of all time, and it's definitely a comfort game of mine. I will come back to this game every now and then. Highly recommend! 9/10.

Resident Evil 48
Feb 28, 2026
Finished my first playthrough/main story after 20 hours. This was the first Resident Evil game I've ever played, and I enjoyed it! Gameplay is pretty good. It kinda reminded me of The Last of Us GAMEPLAY WISE. I like that there are so many different weapons you can choose from, although I just stuck with 3-4 weapons through the whole run. I played with no aim assist; my aim kinda ****, but it feels good to actually aim. The melee is also good, parrying with a knife is cool, and Leon doing a roundhouse kick and A FREAKING GERMAN SUPLEX is so awesome. There's a stealth mechanic in the game, but I never really went that route in the game because enemies would just detect me right away, and I usually shoot my way through. Maybe stealth could've been better? Still nice to have, though. Some of the enemies/bosses in this game were pretty creepy, especially the spider-looking ones (I have an arachnophobia; I got scared at first, but I got used to them after they were first introduced). The enemies with the chainsaw were pretty cool. Some of the enemy hordes were annoying, but I got used to them as I played the game and got better. Some of the bosses were fun and definitely kept me on my toes. There was only one boss in this game that I had found really annoying/difficult, the worst boss in the game for me, and it was harder than the final boss. (You guys probably know what I'm talking about.). I like the visuals/atmosphere in this game; it gives a creepy feeling as it's supposed to, since this is a horror game. You can search and collect treasures and sell them to the merchant for money, which is cool. You can also do side quests in the game to collect spinels, which you can use to trade for stuff, which is also nice. There are puzzles in the game that you need to solve to progress, which I wasn't really crazy about, to be honest. Some of the puzzles were just impossible to figure out on my own, and I had to rely on guides. I still like puzzles in video games, though. I thought the story was good and I enjoyed it. Nothing too crazy in my opinion, but I still liked it. The character I liked the most was Leon, of course, he's so cool and badass. Luis was cool, and Ashley and Ada were alright. This game has TONS of replayability. You have to do so many playthroughs to 100% and platinum the game, which is cool in my opinion! I think this is better than doing everything in one go in your first playthrough, and then you're just done. This encourages replaybility so I like it. To conclude, this is a great game, and I'm definitely interested in getting into more of the Resident Evil series. I haven't played the Separate Ways DLC yet, but I will definitely check that out, and I will be replaying this game a lot. Highly recommend. 8.5/10.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated8
Nov 25, 2025
Replayed and 100% the game after 11 hours. Great remake of one of my childhood games and easily the best SpongeBob game I've played so far. Everything is remade from the ground up with updated graphics and visuals, which are honestly an upgrade in my opinion; even the cutscenes look better as well. The gameplay is pretty much the same as the original, but there's nothing wrong with that. Really solid remake, and this game will always have a special place in my heart. Will come back to it every now and then! Highly recommend! 8/10.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds9
Sep 26, 2025
I played the game for 45 hours. I love this game so much. This is the best Sonic Racing game EVER, and I stand by that. I love this more than OG Riders. I’ve truly had a blast playing this game over the past five days, and I had a fun time! First of all, the character roster is amazing, literally the best roster we’ve had in a Sonic Racing game. The base roster ALONE clears Team Sonic Racing’s entire roster, and that's not even mentioning the upcoming DLC and content drops in the future. The vehicle customization in this game is AMAZING, the best customization in any Sonic racing game. You can mix and match vehicle parts and decorate them to your liking, which is really cool! There are 5 vehicle types (Speed, Power, Acceleration, Handling, and Boost). The type I've been using the most is the boost type (which is the Extreme Gear). I barely touched the cars lol. The gadgets are a game-changer. Each gadget has its own different uses and can give an advantage like buffing your stats, improving items, enchaning your drift, and more. There are over 70 of them, so it's fun to try out different gadget builds! There are 24 tracks and 15 crossworlds total in the game, and a majority of them are pretty good and fun to play on! Some of my favorite tracks are: Wonder Museum, E-Stadium, Kronos Island, and Pumpkin Mansion, some of my favorite crossworlds are: Cyberspace, Dragon Road, and Kraken Bay, and Dionsaur Jungle. The game feels great to control, it's nice and snappy and responsive, and the gameplay is really fun, especially online. The soundtrack in this game is amazing, in my opinion. I know there was some discourse about it on Twitter or whatever, but I love the soundtrack, to be honest. Literally, my favorite song in the game is the main vocal theme of the game, "Cross The Worlds"; I sing it every chance I get lol, I love it that much. I also love some of the themes of the tracks, like Wonder Museum and Ocean View. There are three modes in the game: Grand Prix, Race Park, and Time Trials. Grand Prix has 8 total grand prix, as well as a rival system, where you can choose your rival racer and their level, and you have to beat them to win. There are a total of 23 rivals, and if you beat them all, you unlock Super Sonic (who can only be played in Grand Prix because he's OP), which is a cool way to unlock Super Sonic. Completing all of the 7 main grand prix unlocks Super Sonic Speed, the fastest speed in the game, and it's so fun, it's extremely fast and challenging! You also get Mirror speed by completing all of the Grand Prix. Race Park is a mode that has 6 different party formats and a custom match. You can face off against 8 different rival teams, and you can beat them all twice, which can grant you Donpa Tickets and vehicles. Then there are the time trials, where you aim for the best time and at least an A rank on every track and crosworld in Sonic Speed and Super Sonic Speed. It is possible to get an S rank, but it is very tough to do so, as the times you need to get for an S rank are very strict, especially in Super Sonic Speed. You will need to have the best gadget and vehicle builds, and know what you're doing, to get the S rank. Getting an S rank or at least an A rank on some tracks or crossworlds can unlock music from the Sonic series that you can listen to in the jukebox. You can even set some of the music to play in races, which is really cool. Online is really chaotic, but still fun! You start all the way from E rank and work your way up all the way to Legend. I've made it to Legend in the first 35 hours. It's definitely tough to get there, but if you just use the right gadget and vehicle builds and play really good and know what you're doing, you'll make it! There's an extras section with a challenge system. If you do certain things in the game, like complete all Grand Prix and use a gadget a certain number of times, you can earn rewards like Donpa Tickets and Titles that you can show off online! There's also a friendship system in the game where you can feed a character Donpa Tickets to earn rewards, like an A.I. Rival skin for the character, although it is EXTREMELY grindy, especially if you want the last reward for the character, which is a title, you will have to grind A LOT of tickets. To conclude, Sonic Racing Crossworlds is an amazing game, it's really fun to play, and it exceeded all of my expectations. As a hardcore Sonic fan, I am really happy with this game, and I'm so glad it was reviewed and it's doing so well, just like with Shadow Generations last year. I want the Sonic series to consistently put out bangers, and it's looking like they're doing just that, and I really hope it continues in the future, especially since it's looking like we're getting the next mainline game next year. Also, for agenda purposes, this game clears Mario Kart World easily (I played both, and I had more fun with Crossworlds.) Really happy with this game, and I hope it gets heavily supported for years! 9/10.

Beat the game/finished the main story after 35 hours. This is my game of the year so far, and one of the greatest RPGs I have ever played. This game is genuinely a masterpiece. Amazing gameplay (This game's mechanics are really great! The real-time mechanics are definitely different than what I'm used to, but in a good way, of course. Dodging and especially parrying are so satisfying to pull off. I like how each party member has a different gameplay style, which keeps things fresh and unique.) Amazing cast of characters (My favorite characters are Verso and Sciel.) Mindblowing story (Like seriously though, this story is absolutely crazy, especially in the endgame), THE SOUNDTRACK IS GENUINELY AMAZING. (One of the best video game soundtracks, in my opinion, my favorite song in the game is "Alicia"), and it has an amazing presentation and beautiful visuals. (One of the best-looking games I've ever seen.) I had bought it the month after it came out, after seeing so much praise and hearing good things about it, and let me tell you, I do not regret purchasing this game at all. I'm really glad I did. If you haven't, PLEASE buy and play this game, you won't regret it at all. Once again, my Game of the Year so far. 10/10, will play again.

Sonic the Hedgehog 29
May 8, 2025
This game is genuinely so great, man, a huge step up from Sonic 1, this game is a glow-up. In my opinion, every zone in this game is great, expect for Metropolis Zone (Seriously f*ck that zone and that is why this is not getting the full 10). The soundtrack of this game is amazing and is better than Sonic 1's soundtrack. The special stages in this game are so good, way better than those bad Sonic 1 special stages, and it's one of my favorite special stages in the series. The bosses in this game are pretty good, too, even the Death Egg Robot, and I can't forget the addition of Tails/Miles, who is also fun to play as. This sequel has done everything right (except for Metropolis Zone), and this is one of the best 2D Sonic games I've ever played, and it's definitely in my top 3 for Classic Sonic games. I need to play this game more often.

The first Sonic game. Honestly, it was just okay. I think the only complaint I have is that the game isn't really consistent. For example, you're going from good and fun levels in Green Hill, Spring Yard, and Starlight Zone to bad, slow, and boring zones like Marble, Labryinth, and Scrap Brain. Also the special stages in this game are not it, I think it may have been the 60fps framerate I was playing this game on but most of the time it feels like I have no control over Sonic, one second I could be almost at where the Chaos Emerald is to all the way back at the beginning or touching the goal, it's that bad. But besides those two complaint's this is just the first game of the series, and it was okay for what it was.

I finished my first playthrough after 80 hours, truly an amazing JRPG, with great gameplay, an amazing story with crazy twists and surprises, and just the perfect cast of characters (Personally my favorite Persona cast so far), a banger soundtrack, and it has a great setting/aesthetic. This game was truly peak, and I will definitely play this again in the future. 10/10.

Sonic x Shadow Generations9
Nov 15, 2024
I finished Shadow Generations a few days ago, this game is REALLY amazing, a huge step up from Frontiers in everything from gameplay (The gameplay is just amazing man, all the levels in the game are really good, even the 2D levels! There is no bad level in this game in my opinion. My favorite level in the entire game is Kingdom Valley Act 1, also I LOVE LOVE LOVE the stage transitions in some of the levels, for example, Sunset Heights Act 1 where Shadow is fighting some of the Death Egg Robots and he falls inside the underground part of the level, I need more stuff like this in future Sonic games ESPECIALLY the mainline ones. I also LOVE all of the alternate pathways you can take, it just gives reason for replayability), cutscenes (Bro, the in-game custences graphics/visuals are so GOOD and I hope they improve on them even more in the future), and the bosses (All of the bosses were really good in my opinion, even the final boss was a peak, I think my favorite one was Metal Overlord though). I also liked the addition of the Doom Powers (along with Chaos Control and Chaos Spear) it definitely changes things up (in a good way of course) I didn't at first, but after I got used to it, I think my favorite Doom Power might be the Doom Morph. The soundtrack was really good as usual in Sonic games (My favorites are the What I'm Made Off Remix, Sunset Heights Act 1, and Chaos Island Act 1, the last one grew on me not gonna lie). I thought the story was pretty solid, not amazing or anything crazy but not bad either. It's also great that they packaged this game with Sonic Generations, which in my opinion is one of the GOAT Sonic games. They could've easily made this game full price since Shadow Gens was basically a whole new game (It has around the same amount of hours as OG Gens) and it also included Sonic Generations but they charged only 50 for two full games which is honestly so real of them. Honestly this game just really makes me excited for the next mainline Sonic game and the future of Sonic in general because you can just tell that they improved from Frontiers and that they care about this series and want it to succeed in the future and there is no doubt that there are gonna be even better improvements when the Frontiers sequel/ next mainline game comes out. I hope that they continue to keep putting out bangers like this consistently in the future!

I played my first playthrough for 84 hours. My personal game of the year. Amazing/crazy story that keeps you invested, amazing gameplay, great and fun cast of characters (my favorites are Hulkenberg, Heismay, and Basilio), an Incredible antagonist/main villain (Louis is the GOAT, an Incredible soundtrack, the world-building is amazing, this game is INCREDIBLE please play this y'all if you haven't, this is honestly one of the best turn-based RPG's I've ever played.

Super Mario 647
Sep 13, 2024
So I've finally put in the effort to play this game fully (All the other times I would play the first two courses and drop it afterward) This is by no means a bad game, this is a good game especially when it was the first 3D Mario that released for it's time, but I think it's pretty overrated. This game has some cons/flaws but it also has some pros. Some of the cons/flaws I've experienced are as follows: Controls are not that great at first but the more you play you'll get used to it, and some of the levels/level design is NOT it (Examples: The sand level, and rainbow ride, I feel like the game is not consistent with good levels from start to finish), the camera controls are not good (It's annoying but you're gonna have to make the camera work with you.), the wall jump is ATROCIOUS in this game (genuinely one of the worst wall jump systems I've experienced in any video game), bosses are meh (especially the Bowser ones), I dislike that if you even make one mistake and die/fall off you have to restart the whole stage over from the beginning, and some of the stars are frustrating to get (You guys probably know which ones I'm talking about). But of course, I can't forget the pros: The soundtrack is pretty good! There are some songs in here that I will remember and will go back to listen to. Even though the graphics have not aged well by today's standards, it still looks pretty decent at least! It definitely looks good for its time. I like how you can get all of the stars in any order you want. Overall, at the end of the day, despite the flaws this game has, I still enjoyed playing it throughout the end, this game is a solid platformer. I have to at least appreciate this game for how revolutionary and influential it is, not only to 3D Platformers but to the video game industry as a whole. This game definitely set the foundation for future 3D Mario games to come as well as future 3D Platfromers. I do hope that in the future this game gets a full remake, I feel like it's definitely one of those old and outdated games that needs and deserves a full modern remake for sure.

Astro Bot10
Sep 9, 2024
Ever since I looked at the reveal trailer back in May, I was hooked on this game, I pre-ordered day one. I played Astro's Playroom to get myself ready for Astro Bot, that game is peak, so I already knew Astro Bot is gonna be peak, and I gotta say, this game did NOT disappoint at ALL. This game honestly exceeded my expectations! This is one of the best 3D platformer games I've ever played. It feels like a 3D Mario game as many people are saying, this game is so fun and has amazing level design, charm, challenging (in a good way!) and so much soul. The powerups are amazing in this game, The level gimmicks in this game are amazing, and The 4 levels based on the Playstation games are amazing. The main character, Astro is a really fun, cute, and loveable little guy, I think Astro is a PERFECT mascot for PlayStation. I have never gotten into many PlayStation IPs but seeing all of the first-party and third-party cameos (The VIP bots) was cool, especially the cameos from the games I've played. The game's soundtrack is really good too! I love the main theme of the game, it's so catchy! (I am Astro Bot!). This game is honestly extraordinary and is my personal GOTY, this game honestly inspired me to play more platformers. I can't wait for the DLC to play more of this game and I hope in the future that we will get a sequel to this game (Sequel is most likely due to the success and universal acclaim of this game) and hopefully maybe a 2D Astro Bot game. I would love that. Team Asobi delivered here, Shoutout to them for creating this masterpiece.
