Brilliant! I was gripped from go. Grace was a little much at times, but eventually she grows on you. Absolutely jam packed with action, suspense, and super well timed humor to keep things well mixed. Future directors pay attention. This is how to craft a great movie experience.

It has been a long time since I have seen a movie I could call a true "blockbuster." This is hands down one. Somehow even miles better than the original, which appears to be such a rare and incredible feat for this generation of screenwriters. Seriously. Top notch pacing. Perfectly blended of action, comedy, and drama. Casting was spot on. This one is going into the DVD collection. Going to gift my parents tickets for my dad's birthday.

From original to gimmick. I think they lost the point and the plot of the matrix. It is sad in a sense, that our so called "modern" culture is incapable of genuine creativity. Instead we get pandering. No soul in this one. Perhaps this was written by some kind of first generation of "artificial" intelligence.

Do the executives at Netflix not like money? Or is this some new strategy to make the other B-level content look better by comparison? Who casted this? I mean, they couldn't find anything better than fat and genital joke comedians?

I am not a die hard star wars fan. I am, however, a big movie buff. So this is coming from the perspective of someone who is looking at this trilogy in a bubble by itself. That being said, if anyone can explain the mess of contradictions, and new ex machina mechanics I witnessed this evening I would very much appreciate it. It's like they had 12 writers split up and write twelve parts, and then they just mashed it all together. To glue the mess onto a shared board they shoe-horned Palpatine. But hey, that is what I saw. Anyone else who knows more about the lore may be able to correct me.

So much cringe. So so so much cringe. Their attempt to make the "girls look tough" came off as world-class a-holes. The humor was off-putting. Worse yet, the plot line of aliens that can blend is such an easy win to screw up. How did you screw it up? I want my money back.

I have seen Solo twice now (second time with a friend). I thought I might enjoy the plot more on the second view and get past the wierd drioid and bad acting. Instead, those issues became MORE glaring the second watch through. This will be the first Star Wars movie in my life that I will not be purchasing and adding to my collection. How can you get so little storytelling talent for so much money???

The reviews here is one prime example of why I don't like the pure nostalgic diehard Star Wars fans. You guys have obsessed over "recapturing" your childhood fantasies so much, anything short of a remake will make you go berserk, and the remakes (like episode 7) leave you feeling disappointed you were not a child again. Is this movie perfect? No, that is not easy. There are a couple plot holes and campy scenes. But as a whole, it was an excellent piece of story telling. It deepened past and new characters, fleshed out the universe, built excellent tension, and was visually/audibly stunning. I really cannot ask more from a movie.

It's boring. The whole thing, boring. The humor has the complexity and subtlety of a 12 year old making fart noises. The trailer suggests that they have found a novel idea, until you discover that is the end of the novelty. Do yourself a favor, watch the trailer, enjoy the chuckle, and congratulate yourself for having watched all the humor in this movie for free.

Thou shalt not pander Chinese audience and have them do nothing 3. Thou shalt not rehash every element of the movie 4. Thou shalt not use PC to pander to critics 5. Thou shalt not cram worthless characters 6. Thou shalt not throw logic out of the window 7. Thou shalt not ruin past characters (crazy president, wash out dad, dead Hill) 8. But did any of you go into the movie expecting otherwise? I loved the sets and the animations were fun. The back and forth was enjoyable too. For those of you expecting a documentary about Egypt, or a Shawshank redemption heart puller, can I ask what made you expect either?

Did I just watch a Pixar movie? Where was the efficient story telling? The deep characters? The relate-able themes? The originality in presentation? It's like I watched a poorly mish-mashed spam of a dozen different movies over the past 20 years. The "twist" of dog-like humans served no plot purpose and caused this movie to make even less sense. 3/10 because whoever did the environment animations deserves an award.

This movie will age horribly. Ever been on one of those really old Disney rights that depict "their" version of our present? This entire movie feels a lot like that. You cannot help but cringe by Disney's attempts to oversimplify contemporary problems. Worse yet is how many "problems" they take as fact. Between the long bits of political diatribe and shaming lectures aimed at their audience, they attempt to sprinkle "wish on a star" magic that comes off as both cliche and naive. All in all, a solid waste of time.

On almost a dozen instances I found myself in the theater with hands out and palms up in confusion, wondering: why is this in here? The movie has so many old tropes. You will find yourself rolling your eyes, or shifting in discomfort over the dialogue. All and all, 2/10 for horrible scripting/plot. 8/10 for plenty of CGI action.

It seems as though the writers are completely out of touch. The gags were old and played out. It felt like watching 100 straight hours of family guy. That is, the longer you watch the more you see through the movie's randomness and realize there is no real humor, no irony, no scope, no originality. The whole thing feels lazy. Its self-righteousness also detracts from the attempted humor and makes you wonder if they were trying to be serious or funny, because they failed to be either.
