The Wheel of Time Season 2 continues to embrace the riches of its source material's lore and worldbuilding, diverting from the books when it makes the most sense to but never sacrificing depth of character and overarching plot — and continuing to offer one of the best fantasy adaptations on television.

Only time will tell as to how the rest of the season will play out, but the first four episodes provide a promising start, setting up bigger stakes – not an easy feat when you consider what happened in season 1. Tearing our heroes apart was a risk but it gives them time to shine on their own and even more of a reason to fight – to find their way back to each other.

A show in constant improvement. A second season with endearing characters with deep personalities. Many of the young actors are real discoveries in this regard. The special effects are well-balanced. A welcome balance between storytelling and action is also present, without the self-indulgent and unnecessary sex scenes or gratuitous violence seen in so many other shows. The world of WOT **** us in and won't let us go anytime soon.

Season 2 is really amazing. It is showing strong progress from season 1 and Egwene had a strong story throughout. Mat was introduced and was much more likable as a character than the old actor's portrayal.

The Wheel Of Time may still spin a little too slowly, then, for those unused to the beats of high fantasy. .... On the whole, though, this ambitious TV project makes for a satisfying sit and it’s absolutely piqued our interest for the confirmed third season.

Episode 4 ends on a major cliffhanger that indicates things are poised to kick up several notches once the back half of season 2 begins rolling out, and it’s to the immense credit of the creative team that anybody with even a passing interest in The Wheel of Time will be desperate to see how it all shakes out.

The Wheel of Time goes too far and often obscures much that was great about the original. That said, the cast acquit themselves well. Female characters are especially vividly drawn – including junior Aes Sedai members Nynaeve (Zoë Robins), Egwene (Madeleine Madden) and their new fellow student, Princess Elayne (Ceara Coveney). These performances save Wheel of Time from complete disaster.

Season 1 felt like it was moving. Season 2 feels like someone jammed a stick in its spokes.

It's those conversations, and the nagging feeling these conversations aren’t going anywhere interesting, hamper any momentum “The Wheel of Time” wishes to build. Even at the end of the four episodes provided for review, the characters still seem like they’re licking their wounds from the first season, the writers shuffling characters from place to place in a kind of narrative fantasy limbo.

A much better season, and I love the first. It looks better and is written and acted better. Hopefully there are many more seasons to come.

Decided to give it another chance after being very disappointed with season 1 and I am not seeing the improvement I have seen mentioned in multiple places. Changes aside for the moment, as a standalone piece of media, the show is average at best. The cast are generally very good and are probably the only purely good decision the showrunners have made, they are almost all very good in their roles. The writing however is sloppy, clichéd and poorly paced. Some of the dialogue is also very clunky. The sets, costumes and over-all cinematography are fine, some great use of colour and cool designs balanced by boring composition and strange editing choices. And finally, I can't resist talking about the changes. The changes made in season 1 from the source material continue to ripple out and change even more things. Changes were always necessary for this and they are not all bad but there are too many baffling, enormous changes that have not served any purpose in condensing the story or making it more tv friendly, just random deviations. Over-all as a person who loved the books (flawed as they are) I can't give this series the 6 it probably deserves so I've met myself in the middle and given it a 5.

The production quality as improved to a degree. The show looks better visually. But that is about it. The pacing is still HORRIBLY jarring. Yes, I am a book fan, which to many invalidates my opinions for some reason, but even looking at the pacing and structure of the show by itself, unrelated to the books, it is hard to get into it. No characters are "earning" any of their actions, it just skips development so much. Also, the action scenes are like trying to condense as many cuts as possible into 3-4 sec, looks pretty bad and makes me dizzy. But at least its a bit prettier....

The second season of The Wheel of Time is so bad that it surpasses the first season, which was the focus of criticism, and, even worse, despite all the action, it’s a boring season.

Boring writing. The dialogue was cringe and the plot was uninteresting. On top of being uninteresting, the show is also confusing. Just because it is better than season 1 does not mean it's a good show. The focus of the show seems to be more on visual spectacle than story. The bad story detracts from the visuals that could be awesome. Every cool looking visual that happens seems unearned, like there was inadequate buildup for it.
