First rate production value, interesting characters and an intriguing story make for a world well worth escaping to.

The series is sassier than the book.... Moving pictures require something different; messianic folderol is best served there with a little sex, and a little seltzer. That has been provided.

The Shannara Chronicles is an Amazing series! Everything, from acting, story, to characters, visuals, literally everything is just downright perfect!!I really really hope they make a third season! And I think the probability is not low; probably not from this company, but from another. I definitely have hope for that! Much love from me for this series!!

This is up there as one of my favorite tv shows. It was done incredible well, and actually does the book justice. The story line is really well written and the charterers did an excellent job. I'm incredible bummed about the shuffling around with this show, causing it to end with season 2. Someone really needs to pick up the licences and resume the show.

Though there’s plenty of reasons to mourn a show that’s covering up its central emptiness with so much narrative busy work, there are glimmers of hope that maybe, if the show gains some footing in its second act, it might still find itself in time.

The world-building is imaginative and impressive, but the mythology is exhausting to keep up with, especially when the reward is basically just a romance-novel version of The Lord of the Rings.

MTV's big swing at epic fantasy is a lot of hokey bombast, wasted on a cast of callow babes in the exotic woods. [4-17 Jan 2015, p.15]

Every time a character opens their mouth for some tin-eared quip that wouldn’t be out of place on a soapy drama like Gossip Girl, it knee-caps the rest of the storytelling. And wherever the dialogue isn’t weirdly contemporary, it’s frustratingly clunky.

I actually loved the show. Compare that to the Lord of the Rings, The Rings of Power which is absolutely awful. They probably could have ended after the first season since the second season was anti-climactic.. that's why I didn't give it a 10

This show is a waste of time. These are the some most stupid characters that i've seen in a show. Please save your time and do something worthwhile.

Yet again, a great book is decimated and perverted by modern TV/Movie hacks. Poor casting, horrid acting and modern identity politics meshed together into a mockery **** story. The acting is this show was sub CW quality. I got so tired of hearing Austin Butler cry out "Amberle." Who copy/pasted that into the script? I enjoyed the books and wanted to like this show, but it was so disappointingly bad.
