Put aside any fears of a sophomore slump. Think second-year sensation, as Hulu’s post-apocalyptic Paradise exceeds expectations with a surprising, emotionally exciting, and robustly suspenseful new chapter.

Season 2 doesn't pick up where we left off. In fact, it begins somewhere else entirely, reminding us that at the core of creator Dan Fogelman's exquisite and eerily timely sci-fi drama are the people desperately trying to cling to their humanity in unprecedented times.

Very promising first 3 episodes. It's going sci fi I presume. Good. Great introduction in vein of TWD and LoU.

Sure, it can be a little soapy, but an ever-expanding ambition and continuously solid performances by its ensemble cast holds it all together and elevates it beyond just dadcore television.

The thought-provoking new direction will challenge, confuse, and likely divide viewers, but it will also deepen the show’s sci-fi roots and evoke more comparisons to Silo Season 2, LOST, and The Last of Us than ever before.

By not taking itself too seriously, Paradise finds the perfect balance of pulp and drama and though season 2 can feel like a stepping stone of sorts, it's one that is endlessly riveting and truly exciting.

“Paradise” covers a lot of ground, physically, in Season 2, but it doesn’t appear any closer to finding its identity.

Season 2 of *Paradise* decides to break out of its shell and think big—sometimes even too big. The series fully embraces sci-fi, expands its world, and introduces a host of new characters, but amidst it all, it still finds room to maintain that emotional drama that holds everything together.Does it have a slow start? Yes. Are there decisions that make you go, “Huh?”? Yes. But once it gets going, it works really well, especially with the plot twists and the ending, which makes the journey **** in the end, that’s it: it may stumble along the way, but it knows exactly where it wants to go. And that makes all the difference.

Starts off horrible, then is meh in episode 3-4, then gets decent for episodes 5-6, but ends incredibly with the last two episodes episode 7-8. Such a bipolar season again, but at least it gets better as it goes along rather than back and forth like the first season. And somehow it ended so near-perfectly that I am intrigued to check out a S3,

Pretty interesting thus far. I like we got the backstory of Collins and his wife and the Shalene Woodley story. I really should have rewatched the first season, but I winged it. Still, one of the better shows on Hulu right now.

Season 2 was weak compared to the great season 1. From my point of view, the show didn't work outside the bunker. The only good episodes were episode 4 (I cried like hell with Shailene Woodley's incredible performance) and episode 8, the season finale. Even the subplots involving the postman and Dany weren't appealing enough in my opinion. I really liked the character Annie, they could have used her more. I found season 2 dragged out, unattractive, too repetitive (and even irritating) about the constant search for Xavier's wife's Teri. I hope the third and final season returns to the high level that season 1 was.
