Not just the film of the year—it’s a documentary that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the form’s all-time greats.

Ridiculous right up to a conclusion that’s simultaneously deflating and incoherent, it’ll make for an amusing night out at the theaters, albeit not in the way the filmmakers envisioned.

A tedious satire, slamming capitalistic greed, anti-environmental profiteering, rampant corruption, and horrid narcissism with all the bluntness of the shovel its protagonist reveres.

Pulsates with heart, rancor, and terror—thanks, in no small part, to standout performances from its illustrious leads Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson, and Miles Teller.

At its finest, it roars with thunderous majesty—but that, regrettably, is far too rare for a wannabe-epic monster mash.

A straightforward history lesson elevated by sturdy craftsmanship.

It gives two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali a role of gripping intensity and (until its climax) compelling complexity—resulting in his finest performance since 2016’s Moonlight.

A survivalist adventure that won’t make anyone forget Jack London but may, by its conclusion, compel bros to reach for the nearest box of Kleenex.

A takedown whose critique is as over-the-top and self-righteous as it is painfully simplistic.

As hilarious as it is unnerving, it’s the rare video game-based film to rock from breakneck start to insane finish.
