Comedy: The second season of the Freevee-turned-Amazon mockumentary hit Jury Duty retains the basic setup—everyone on screen is an actor in on the joke, save for one real person who has no idea all of the events are being staged for a TV comedy—but uses a completely different setting. Instead of another trial, the new season is set at a corporate offsite retreat for a family-run hot sauce concern, where the newly hired temp Anthony bears witness to an unusual battle for control of the company. The first three episodes air today, with additional batches arriving on March 27 and April 3.

Written by Knight, the film advances the story by nearly a decade to the middle of WWII, and eventually it will be followed by a pair of six-episode sequel series set in the 1950s.

Also returning from past seasons are Damian Young, Laura Silverman, and Dan Bucatinsky, while new faces include Andrew Scott, John Early, Tim Bagley, Abbi Jacobson, Barry Shabaka Henley, Brittany O'Grady, and Kudrow's real-life son Julian Stern. Drama: It took Margaret Atwood 34 years to release a sequel to The Handmaid's Tale. But Hulu has reduced that turnaround time to a single year with this follow-up to its Emmy-winning, six-season hit that launched its final season exactly one year ago today. The adaptation once again comes from Bruce Miller, but only Ann Dowd (as Aunt Lydia) returns from the prior show's cast. Instead, One Battle After Another breakout Chase Infiniti takes the lead as Agnes opposite Lucy Halliday as Daisy—a pair of young new Gilead arrivals who find themselves in Lydia's prep school. The first three episodes stream today.

tbdBig Mistakes new series Trailer
Comedy: This eight-episode crime comedy is the first scripted series created by Dan Levy since the end of his beloved, Emmy-winning series Schitt's Creek, though it took multiple years of development (and redevelopment) to bring it to your screen. Co-created by actress Rachel Sennott, Big Mistakes finds a pair of siblings (Levy and Taylor Ortega) staging a misguided theft of a necklace on behalf of their dying grandmother, which leaves the in-over-their-heads duo entangled with organized crime and blackmailed into committing further misdeeds. Laurie Metcalf, Elizabeth Perkins, Jack Innanen, Boran Kuzum, and Abby Quinn also star.
Netflix
tbdThe Miniature Wife new series Trailer
Comedy/Drama: Matthew Macfadyen and Elizabeth Banks head the cast of an adaptation of a Manuel Gonzales short story about a married couple in crisis after a technological accident. (In other words, you may want to take that title literally.) Zoe Lister-Jones, O-T Fagbenle, Ronny Chieng, and Aasif Mandvi also star, while directors include Greg Mottola (Superbad). All 10 episodes stream today.

tbdMalcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair limited series Trailer
Comedy: Almost the entire cast of the long-running, multi-Emmy-nominated Fox sitcom returns for this four-episode follow-up from original series creator Linwood Boomer that's now a Hulu-branded original after originally billed as a Disney+ series. Set in the present day, Life's Still Unfair follows the now-expanded family as they gather for the 40th wedding anniversary of Lois (Jane Kaczmarek) and Hal (Bryan Cranston). Frankie Muniz reprises his role as middle child Malcolm, now a father himself, while Christopher Masterson and Justin Berfield also return as his older siblings (though Caleb Ellsworth-Clark replaces the retired Erik Per Sullivan as Malcolm's younger brother Dewey, and Anthony Timpano takes over as Jamie, who was just a toddler in the original run). There's even a new sixth sibling for good measure. And if you aren't caught up on all 151 previous episodes, well, those are streaming on Hulu as well.

Comedy/Drama/Thriller: Jonah Hill directs and co-writes this darkly comedic Apple original starring Keanu Reeves as a popular film actor who becomes the victim of a mysterious extortion threat and attempts to make amends with everyone he could have possibly wronged from throughout his life with the help of his friends (Cameron Diaz and Matt Bomer) and lawyer (Hill). David Spade, Atsuko Okatsuka, Roy Wood Jr., Martin Scorsese, Laverne Cox, and Susan Lucci also star.

tbdThe Audacity new series Trailer
Drama: The debut series from former Succession and Better Call Saul writer/producer Jonathan Glatzer, like Silicon Valley before it, dives inside California's tech industry, though The Audacity is a drama, not a comedy. Well, make that a dramedy: It's awfully hard to chronicle today's Silicon Valley without getting at least a little satirical. Billy Magnussen heads the cast as the self-important CEO of a data-mining company mired in a scandal, while Sarah Goldberg, Zach Galifianakis, Rob Corddry, Lucy Punch, Simon Helberg, Meaghan Rath, Paul Adelstein, and Randall Park fill out the strong ensemble. The eight episodes will stream weekly, and a second season was ordered last month.

tbdEuphoria - Trailer
Drama: HBO's one-time buzzy hit teen drama returns for its third (and likely final) season more than four years since it last aired—the extended delay caused by a mix of the writers strike, the increasingly busy film careers of stars Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney, the death of fellow star Angus Cloud, and disagreements between HBO and creator Sam Levinson over planned storylines. New cast members this season include Sharon Stone, Danielle Deadwyler, Natasha Lyonne, Rebecca Pidgeon, Trisha Paytas, Asante Blackk, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Kadeem Hardison, Darrell Britt-Gibson, singer Rosalía, and running back Marshawn Lynch. The story picks up about five years after the conclusion of the S2 finale, with Sweeney's Cassie engaged to Jacob Elordi's Nate while Zendaya's Rue is in Mexico and in debt. Michelle Pfeiffer and Nick Offerman play her parents—a former Hooters waitress and pro wrestler, respectively—while Nicole Kidman, Thaddea Graham, Greg Kinnear, Marcia Gay Harden, Michael Angarano, and Rico Nasty fill out the ensemble. tbdThe Boroughs new series
Drama/Sci-Fi/Horror: Supernatural thriller The Boroughs comes from Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews, who previously developed the excellent Dark Crystal sequel series for Netflix in 2019. Set in a seemingly peaceful retirement community, the show follows a misfit group of retirees who band together to battle a mysterious, malevolent force. If that sounds a bit like a Stranger Things for the grey hair set, well, you're right: It is produced by Stranger Things creators the Duffer brothers. (Addiss and Matthews also cite the film Cocoon as an influence.) The excellent ensemble is led by Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Clarke Peters, Bill Pullman, and Denis O'Hare and also includes Ed Begley Jr., Jena Malone, Karan Soni, Rafael Casal, Dee Wallace, and Jane Kaczmarek.
