The series’ ad nauseam repetition, its pat dialogue laying bare its themes and episode titles reaffirming those ideas, feel like a desperate, and ultimately failed, attempt to prove to us — or maybe to itself — that Imperfect Women actually has something enlightening to say.

The series really picks up in the second half, that is, in the last 4 episodes. The mystery surrounding Nancy's death is believable, but I found the trio of friends very unconvincing. And even more so in today's world where we know that friendship between women (especially three) is practically nonexistent, the premise of the friendship between the three becomes even weaker, especially with three totally different "friends". I thought the script was mid and the cast was the same. I expected more.
