İlk film kadar iyi değil ne yazık ki. Çok fazla joker kullanılmış açıkları kapamak için...

Glorification of theft, basically. No, thiefs are not cool, nor glamorous. They are the cause why governments worldwide assign jawdropping amounts of money to domestic security, money that could go to cure cancer, prevent abortion, or care for the elderly. 1 star because there is no lgbtiqap references.

Classic example of an unsuccessful and not very credible sequel. The story is not very exciting and the film puts too much meat on the fire. The stellar cast does not suit a film like this.

I enjoyed Oceans 11, I thought it was quite enjoyable, helped by the performances and the direction. However, I was disappointed with this film. Don't get me wrong, it is not a complete dud, thanks to the stellar performances from Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, George Clooney and Matt Damon especially and the efficient direction from Steven Soderbergh. However, the film really does suffer from truly lethargic pacing, some of the film was so slow I almost fell asleep between one key twist. Second, the plot is very convoluted and there are many twists and turns that makes it hard to keep up. The camera work wasn't as innovative as it was in the first movie either. Whereas in the first movie, it was smooth and professional, it was jerky and awkward here, and the music wasn't particularly memorable. The screenplay also wasn't as witty or as fun, and the film felt anti-climatic. At the end of the day it all felt a bit too lazy, despite the expert playing and direction. So much potential, but really a missed opportunity. 4/10 Bethany Cox

Undermines somewhat what Ocean's Eleven did with a more elaborate, confusing and non-sensible storyline that needs repeat viewing to understand. And somewhat forgettable. this movie isn't a lost cause. There's some unique style and tone going on here, and they're almost onto to something. But it never really carries through. But a cool vibe though.

The rat pack is back. For some reason that escapes me, it is not as sophisticated as the previous one; development feels slow and the idea of the rival who is ahead of the gang in everything does not work 100%. Let's see how about the next episode.

I know I come under a minority section, but I think that this chapter captured the essence of the cast perfectly. Ocean's Twelve Soderberg's second round and personal favourite was never actually shot. Or more actually it was just shot. Not planned, nor choreographed, no script, nothing. In the previous film's shooting, the things that went out of control is all honed into this two hours of heist. And the dumbness that knowingly this cast, the writer and the director embodies, is the key to enjoy such humor. You have to partake in that groovy background score, half grinned face and annoyingly and irrelevantly prioritized topics that they discuss with deep analyzation and three dimensional perspective. Only if the making of the film was respected as those little things were. The director Steven Soderberg though, is bringing his A game on keeping these A list starter in lease, and what you find is similar to Damien Chazelle's type of direction in every scene. But what I loved the most about the film is why it was criticized majorly. First of all, the myths surrounding these guys deeds in the previous chapter and to top it off, the bonkers ideas executed on screen. Luckily, Soderberg has an eye for framing this larger than screen idea and that is by never actually animating the action. After which, it seems easy, the idea seems plausible and for a minute there, you buy into the product. Another thing how it differentiates largely from the other two chapters, is the meta nature. Actually, saying that the trilogy turns meta isn't enough. That would be understating things. Not only an entire act, the entire plan hinges upon the aspect of pointing out an actor while the film runs but even the jokes landed in the film are not actually for the characters but the actors portraying it. Ocean's Twelve is a riot of laughter, the joke is not for everyone just as this once-in-a-lifetime of a cast isn't.

Has moments that equal the first film but is mostly a pretentious, overwritten disappointment.

This film is a sequel to "Ocean's Eleven" and reports how the group of thieves from the first film was forced to regroup and commit an assault on Europe. A predictable sequel, given the box office hit. The first movie was light and funny, but this sequel is only light and boring. The clever jokes that I have observed before have never happened here, and the attempts to make it were so meager and thin that I cannot even say I found it funny. The script is another problem: the story lacks logic and coherence as if it were a collection of film parts without direct relation to each other. Steven Soderbergh assured the direction and, apparently, the accident as well. After all, he tried to hold the movie's steering wheel, but he had no strength to hold it. Natural consequence: A good part of the film is a disaster. The film has a lot of the cast of "Ocean's Eleven", which is to say that its filled with stars like George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Carl Reiner, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia and Julia Roberts. But the overwhelming majority got lost in the middle of the script's confusion and probably regretted having entered the film (if they take their careers seriously, of course). Julia Roberts, who had already gone bad in the first film, was totally devastated here, and the same can be said of Bruce Willis in one of the worst performances of his long film career. Catherine Zeta Jones was not too bad but this movie didn't give her room to shine. Everything else has no relevance: the scenarios have gone unnoticed, the soundtrack has no quality etc. Everything has been relegated to the background and the public virtually notices any positive point. Far from having the interest of the first film, this sequel was run only to get box-office money.

Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's 12 is a good film, but it's just not as good as the previous film. The story in this film is too complex and the film overall is just kind of slow. The villain, Francois Tolour, was...decent, I guess. But overall, this IS a good film but moves too slow and is a bit boring. I'm going to give it a 6.9/10

Ocean 12 almost works, it could have been a wonderful sequel had it not been for the inclusion of a couple of items. 1. Why do they need to be caught in the first three minutes of the movie, its terrible motivation and makes the characters seem desperate, 2. The French thief is annoying in his arrogance and 3. The whole Julia Roberts playing Julia Roberts thing.

Ocean's Twelve doesn't seem lovely like its first installment. Ocean's Twelve is more like a buried up copy of Ocean's Eleven found in the middle of a dinosaur-bone finding zone.

I am surprised by the number of bad reviews. I've found this sequel just as much fun as the first film. In fact I think I've enjoyed it even more. It's very witty, I laughed a lot. Plus Tess Ocean is not as useless and boring like in the first film. SPOILER: In the end the story of the Night Fox about how he managed to steal the egg is quite ridiculous, I must say. The father-daughter reunion is a similarly laughable cliché.

"Ocean's Twelve" has the same quirky spirit of its predecessor, but it gets too caught up in implausibilities and ambiguity to hit anywhere close to the greatness that came before it.

Ocean's Twelve replaces the fun, simple plot of its predecessor with less wit and humour and a densely complex plot which confuses, rather than entertain.

Much of the zeal of the original is lost; however, there's still plenty of fun here... especially surrounding Julia Roberts and the recent addition of Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Personally, I don't understand all the hate towards this movie. I enjoyed it almost as much as Ocean's 11, and the plot was very enjoyable, sufficiently complex and full of twists. I suspect that people who are complaining that it's "too complicated" are not among the smart ones. I would also like to point out that the soundtrack is as great as in the original, the antagonist is awesome and Catherine Zeta-Jones looks absolutely ravishing in this, a real joy to watch (unlike Julia Roberts). The only minor fault I see here is that the focus in the script switches a bit too much to Pitt, Clooney and Damon, not leaving the others too much screen time. Still, I highly enjoyed Ocean's Twelve and strongly disagree with ones saying that this is "terrible", "worst part of the trilogy", etc.

Ocean's Twelve is the weakest in the series, but nonetheless entertaining. The action and thrills are more dull than sharp, but it gets the job done in the end.

Ocean's Twelve gives ammunition to those who are against the concept of sequels. It started out ridiculous, dragged quite a bit, became mildly interesting, became even more ridiculous, then was stupid, and then finally even more ridiculous. The acting was once again fantastic but outside of a few main characters, none of the side characters seemed to get any further development or decent screen time. Bernie Mac and Don Cheadle especially seemed like almost wasted roles because they were both so underutilized. Yes, George Clooney and Brad Pitt got more screen time and Catherine Zeta-Jones got quite a bit as well but still, it felt like the great cast just wasn't used properly. The writing was the worst part though. It's almost like they said "hey, let's make a movie and then if the ending doesn't work, let's just make some stupid stuff up and if it doesn't really make sense or seem plausible, who cares, at least we get the ending we want."

Same as Ocean's Eleven, but without the wit of the plot and depth of characters. This time I felt the story was too unrealistic (The previous movie required suspension of disbelief, but it was tolerable). The whole Julia Robert playing the alter ego of Julia Roberts was pointless, and the Catherine Zeta-Jones subplot was too simplified... The director tried too hard to be "stylish" and the music and editing felt heavy handed. Overall the movie was decent, but nothing outstanding.

A sequel with little action that fails the first part, but it's still good.

The fun in Ocean's Twelve does not lie with the absurdly over-the-top plot, but what happens in between. Twelve isn't the easy going heist movie, with razor-sharp wit and dialog, that made Eleven one of the most enjoyable films of 2001. I was really disappointed with Ocean's Twelve when leaving the theater on opening night, but after re-watching it several times, I've grown to realize just how much fun it can be once you look past the plot, and enjoy a bunch of excellent actors simply enjoying themselves on screen. And that's what it comes down to for Twelve: shutting your brain off and just having fun with Clooney & Pals.

Ocean's Twelve has lost the main thing that made its predecessor a fun diversion - pace. In this sequel, nothing happens, and it happens slowly - it's only in the last fifteen minutes or so that anything makes you sit up and pay attention. The returning characters are still pretty dull and under-developed, and the new ones are uninspired. The script isn't by any means awful, and stylistically the film is polished, but this doesn't make the film entertaining enough overall. The best part of the whole film is Don Cheadle saying in his cringe-inducing mockney drawl "the accent is crucial - the first thing people notice is the accent", and I sincerely hope this was a bit of self-deprecating humour on the script writer's part. In the end though, chief among Ocean's Twelve's crimes is not that it's boring, or empty, or even that the actors appear to be doing it purely for the money, it's that it is unashamedly smug.

The story has become overly complex followed by trivial humor that was not necessary. Makes me remind myself if the director was the same guy that made 'Sex, Lies, and Videotape' and 'Traffic'.

This movie has a interesting plot but it's very difficult to understand if you watch it for the first time. It definitely helps to watch Ocean's Eleven first. The actors are succesful in bringing you the characters closer.

Until the last 15 minutes or so, "Ocean's Twelve" is pretty damn perfect. It has insane amounts of style and swagger and does things in unusually quirky but fascinating ways. The locations are gorgeous and the dialogue is hilarious and the jokes are really funny if you pay attention to what the actors are trying to do. But the ending...there are MIT graduates who probably got confused by what had just happened. It's rather poorly done and leaves a bitter taste in one's mouth, because they feel like their intelligence was just demoralized. Still a good movie however, especially if you were a fan of the first.
