Lets start with the flaws of the imagined social/economic consequences of the Purge system... Crime rates would drop to 1%? Economy would rise? Why the hell would it? Prostitution, drug dealers, corruption is done on a daily basis. Perverts, abusers would not wait until the government allows them to commit crimes. The purge system would only decrease a minimal amount of crime. Other then that imagine You try to kill your fellow worker, because he/she was not nice with on you **** imagine you fail, now you can spend the rest of the year feeling hatred toward that person. It is not really productive in a workplace. As I have wrote before criminals who live from crime, would not stop after a purge. Also why would they allow using fire-based weapons during a Purge? (There are some restriction but nothing for arson?) It would cost a lot to build up a city from the ashes right? The whole thing could use some more thinking to it.... Other than these, the characters were boring and the kid was the dumbest movie character I have seen in a long time. The kid actually wanted to save a stranger more than his own family... The bad guys looked more stupid then threatening in my opinion. Well a generic action thriller.

Truly a braindead movie, one of the worst I have seen in a while. No plot, boring action with slow-motion scenes for the 3D, cardboard characters, just to name a few flaws of this stinker. Besides the writer (same idiot who directed this crap) was so unoriginal he had to steal ideas from other sources too ('Silent hill' and 'Stalker PC' esque monsters...). Truly a bad movie, only recommended if you want to punish yourself or like B-movie. AVOID IT!

The little girl looked creepy, which is the only good thing about this boring, tried horror formula. Aside of the good casting of the "child", there was no tension, or scary atmosphere in the movie, which is the basic requirement **** horror/psychological thriller. Everything happened as we have already seen it before in other horror movies, so it lacked originality also. The ending was absolutely BAD! Not recommended.

Vithaya Pansringarm is the batman of Thailand in this insipid, "art-movie" wannabe, from Nicolas Winding Refn. Objectively this movie is laughable with unrealistic characters, and violence (Refn wanted it to look realistic, but it is exactly the opposite). The plot is not much to talk about, basically a boring revenge scenario. The visuals are nice, dream-esque, but nothing new or nothing that would add to the content of the movie. I think most good reviews are very pretentious, but go see it, and decide it yourselves.

A laughable feminist version of Deliverance (1972). The script is so cliché ridden to the max (I wonder if they used copy-paste from a few other movie script...). The male characters are all cardboard hillbilly rapists, the three women are old childhood friend who reunite during a trip, and settle their past issues. Situation goes bad as the male characters try to ****, torture and murder these three (I guess that is their weekend hobby). They try to escape while their lives and friendships are turned on their head ....Sounds boring right? Well it is. We have already see this scenario a trillion times before. This movie offers nothing new, and I believe it is very insulting towards male audiences (I guess the director lady is pro man-hater of some sort...). See something else if you can! Boring cat and mouse "drama". Not recommended.

It has all the gory and violence of the original without it's ASH (Bruce Campbell's cult role) and smart humor and wit. You can enjoy this movie, if you are into horror movies in general. In this case it is a decent movie. Nothing special though. If you see it as a remake of the original, it is a huge disappointment. It is too "self-serious", and not a deliberately cheesy and funny as the original. It was missing the spirit of Sam Raimi's direction also. Go watch the original

First of all this remake was unnecessary, but besides that it was: flat, without suspense, without atmosphere and the good cast was also missing (basically it lacked everything what made the original a great movie, which stood the trial of time). Gus Van Sant is not a bad director but he missed with this one! Not recommended!

"B" movie all the way, with a low budget. If you want to see a cheesy infection/zombie movie with rather bad acting, unbelievable characters, not much suspense: do watch this. If you want to watch a quality movie watch something else. I do no understand the good reviews, some kind of double standard is applied to these low budget, indie-horrors, but this does not make it a good movie in reality. Honestly you will not see anything new here.

Not really good. Wants to be a stylish serial-killer, coming-to-age thriller with a twist, but fails to be more than a pretentious, and ultimately boring movie. The characters, their actions and motivations are underdeveloped and unrealistic. The acting is good, but the writing is lacking any kind of tension or realism. I felt nothing for the main protagonist/antagonist. The sound effect and the shot very beautiful, but nothing outstanding. Not recommended.

Malick's beautiful, air-light, impressionistic style really shines here. Worth a watch for this alone. Like watching the works of french impressionists painters, set to motion. Olga Kurylenko surprised me with her excellent acting. I think the movie was more like a contemplation about love, relationships, loneliness and life, than actually a "movie". I say this because the movie had a very thin plot with 2 hours of running time, and not much story development. Almost like in the case of an experimental movie, which is hard to categorize. Was this a drama? Yes, but the plot was merely a "base" or a "pedestal" for the thought presented. To the wonder is a logical follow up and development of "The Tree of Life" in style. I believe Ben Affleck's character was totally underdeveloped, and underused, which is a shame. The storyline with Javier Bardem was somewhat inconclusive as well. One of Malick most "eccentric" movies. Definitely not made for wider audiences, despite the AAA actors/actresses, and the romantic plot/sub-plot. More of a movie for those who like to think about life, love, relationships, God. Not Malick's best, but worth a watch!

This is how you throw 130 million American dollars out of the window. There was no reason Jaden Smith was in this movie, other than his fathers influence. I admit they were good together in Pursuit of happiness, but his son was basically a little kid playing himself back then. Also nature evolved to kill US blah-blah-blah I do not know why M. Night Shyamalan has this fixation (remember The Happening), but it is dump, and killing animals (even CGI) makes me disappointed in humanity. Overall a badly done adventure movie, that is set agains the background of the green screen. This alone (CGI, visuals) never made a movie. In movies like Blade Runner etc... visuals had significant role, but with a good story, characters, thought provoking concepts. This movie was missing these key elements.

Yeah well, I am usually very critic about science-fiction movies, but this time the whole thing comes with a lot of action (exceptionally well done), and some light humor, which is not interfering with the mood of the movie. The time traveling aspects (yeah I know I am picky) are somewhat "flawed", but nothing I could not overlook (like in the case of Looper). One of Arnie's best, and the villain is also remarkable. Will remain a classic. The special effect were all very advanced back in the day. Some looks cheesy nowadays, but not bad. Recommended.

Room 237 proves that certain movies and certain movie scenes can be interpreted many ways. Most of the ideas presented in this documentary are silly or ridiculous, so this way Room 237 is also about obsession. Movie obsession. Also about the human mind that seeks for hidden meaning, and pattern when there is none. Could be better if they would focus on some more "legit" theories, or made a comparison with Kubrick's other movies. Also felt it was overlong, and after about an hour I felt somewhat bored.
