While sticking to the source material and the genre’s trusted tropes, Heartstopper emerged as a countermeasure to some of the darker, more toxic love stories on TV. Thankfully, it remains true to those strengths for the cozy finale movie Heartstopper Forever.

I didn't finish the comics cuz I didn't want it to end, but here I am– Heartstopper is forever. A beautiful conclusion to the beloved series, and in true Oseman fashion, heavy themes are handled while maintaining a fluffy wholesome vibe. The cast of beloved characters are expanded upon as we get to know more of each of them, their stories, and what their future holds. Thank you for this beautiful finale.

Capturing all the emotions wrapped up in growing pains, embracing the future and longing for what was, Oseman delivers a wistful conclusion to Nick and Charlie’s story. A mature and elevated swan song, the movie delivers a fitting goodbye while giving fans a glimpse at the perfect epilogue.

The prospect of a reconciliation is the main, and indeed only, driver in a film that’s seemingly more concerned with illustrating the iniquities of our gross “comphet” (compulsory heterosexuality) society than bothering with anything so trivial as dramatic tension, character arcs or narrative subplots.

it's definitely good, and right next to the webcomic works in like a parallel universe.
it's just a shame that they didnt make a final season, give also the side characters more time to develop. the main storyline is nice and the actors are great, but yeah, would have worked better as a final season instead of a movie.
