The Godfather is one of those films that feels almost impossible to criticize. A true masterpiece and, for me, one of the greatest films ever made.Marlon Brando gives an unforgettable performance as Don Vito Corleone, while Al Pacino is equally brilliant as Michael. Watching Michael slowly transform throughout the film is one of the most fascinating character journeys in cinema.Francis Ford Coppola’s direction is extraordinary. Every scene feels carefully constructed, from the performances and dialogue to the atmosphere and pacing. The cinematography is equally stunning, with its dark, intimate visuals creating the perfect mood for the story.What makes The Godfather truly special is that it goes far beyond being a crime film. It is a story about family, power, loyalty, ambition, and the price of becoming the person you never intended to be.

By the end of watching this I began to lose interest as its far too long. Personally wouldn't say this is a must watch but has some interesting moments. It's possible that this one just isn't for me.

I’ve watched the trilogy at least three times, and I still can’t see why it’s considered “peak” or “brilliant.” I feel kind of strange for rating it so low, but there’s nothing remarkable about it for me. Drama? Interesting characters? I don’t see any. For a film that long, it doesn’t make me feel anything besides overwhelming boredom.

Como "O poderoso chefão" é considerado um clássico, não tive como conter as expectativas de que seria um ótimo filme. Poucas vezes na minha vida eu me desapontei tanto com um filme. Não consigo entender como um filme longo de quase 3 horas de duração não consegue desenvolver seus personagens. A história se resume em abordar a relação dos negócios das máfias, já a relação dos personagens com seus familiares e amigos não é aprofundada, fica algo raso, frio e muito mal feito. Sinto como se todos irmãos da família Corleone tivessem a mesma personalidade, já que não houve desenvolvimento. Minha nota não foi mais baixa por causa da filmagem que foi uma revolução para a época, a trilha sonora é boa e a atuação é boa, mas comprometida pelo não desenvolvimento dos personagens. 3.5/10
