Every Spider-Man Movie, Ranked

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026)" (Marvel/Columbia Pictures)

THWIP! Few superheroes have dominated modern cinema quite like Spider-Man. Across three distinct live-action eras and a groundbreaking animated multiverse, Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's Peter Parker—and Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli's Miles Morales—have led one of the most lucrative and culturally ubiquitous franchises in Hollywood history. From Sam Raimi's pioneering early-2000s trilogy, to Marc Webb's Amazing reboot, to Tom Holland's Marvel Cinematic Universe run and the cutting-edge animated amalgamation of the Spider-Verse movies, the wall-crawler has continuously reinvented himself for new generations of moviegoers.

With the web-slinger's latest entry, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, swinging into theaters this weekend, we're taking a comprehensive look back at the hero's big-screen legacy. To determine the definitive hierarchy, we've ranked every feature-length Spider-Man film from worst to best based on its Metascore, which distills the consensus of professional film critics into a 0–100 scale. Please note that the 1977 CBS television movie Spider-Man and its TV-sequels have been excluded, as they did not receive theatrical releases in the United States. (We also excluded MCU entries not focused specifically on Spider-Man.) Get ready, web-heads: Let's swing into action!
