A ton of side missions offer varying entertainment value, plenty of doodads to collect and power Hulk up with, and even a few cool alternate character skins for the green guy to wear. But I can't just quietly ignore the fact that a similar, but far better Hulk game (the best superhero game, for my money) sits on my shelf at home, and is readily available for anyone to track down.

Though Hulk is a serviceable game that can be enjoyed over a weekend, it feels outdated.
Demolishing a city may make for a fun weekend rental, but not quite an incredible one.

This action game based on the movie plays like an open-world "Rampage". The story missions are fun, but often follow the same pattern; you're tasked with going from Point A to Point B while smashing enemies and creating destruction. The side-activities are a little more diverse with their own challenges. As you progress, the Hulk becomes more powerful as he levels up and gains upgraded attacks and special abilities. "The Incredible Hulk" isn't up there with the best "Spider-Man" games, but it's better than "Iron Man". I would rate it with a 7 out of 10.

An underrated action game that plays like "Rampage" meets "Grand Theft Auto". It can get repetitive quick, so it's best to play in small doses. There are plenty of story missions and side-diversions. As you progress, the Hulk earns moves and attacks. Unlockable content includes alternate skins, comic book covers and conceptual art. Overall, this is a lot more fun than "Iron Man" on the Xbox 360. I would rate it with a 7.2 out of 10.

So while Incredible Hulk isn't a bad game, it's actually several steps backward from the last Hulk title. If you are a Hulk fan, this is a definite rental. But if you want the true Hulk experience, stick with Ultimate Destruction.

You won't like it when this simplistic, repetitive, and occasionally broken game makes you angry.

You'll get moments of fun simply from being Hulk, but this isn't enough to carry the whole game. The incredibly disappointing presentation is sadly the final nail in Hulk's coffin.

Bizarrely this Hulk game isn’t as much fun as Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, and it wasn’t exactly brilliant anyway. You’re best off just watching the film and leaving this alone.

The Incredible Hulk is nothing more than a shoddy imitation.

Pros: -fun to play - lots of things to unlock - lots of missions - great gameplay - good story, like the film - good boss battles. - Enclave and army fighting is cool. - bad draw distance - graphics are out dated.

Ok I need to write this review quick or my little brother Sean who loves hulk will see it. So hulk the game is not really fun and I could not just get into the game, the gameplay is boring and tedious to play along with a rather lack of feeling really powerful it was also really easy since not many people are going to stand a chance against a giant green muscle man. Finally there was not much fun things to do in the city besides missions so I found myself going on rampages regularly but despite that being what hulk does and me loving that in games like prototype it just wasn't fun here

Haven't played this since it came out, but recently was looking up the meta critic score on some older games, curious to see what they are scored at today. I was surprised to see this game have such a high user score, then realized that the same features are touted in three of the user reviews, which are all posted 1 day after the other, with similarly FirstL names that they had to be someone toying with the scores, be it a member of the press team or development team or just some fanboy. I honestly think this game deserves like a 5, 6 **** I am giving it this 1 to even out the score to what it should be.
