The game is great, and customer service responds quickly and resolves issues in no time. I made a purchase by mistake and got a refund in less than 24 hours; it’s refreshing to have human customer support rather than the bots you get in WoW. As for the game itself, the combat is its weakest point, but that’s made up for by the vast world, the lore, and the great community.

Another MMO RPG for Elder Scrolls?! HELL YEAH! Fantasy, adventure, and friends (or people to at least play with) . . . I'm in!

My gear seems to down grade as I level! Why? The level scaling is ridiculous. Each time you replace a piece of gear that gear will just downgrade as you level making you weaker. The **** is backwards, you supposed to feel stronger as you level not weaker. Combat is kinda borning you just hit the same button over and over, I dunno the game just isn't fun and there's no fantasy to it and I just feel alone. Wish there was no level scaling, I cant stand level scaling it eliminates any type of progression feeling and progression is what keeps me playing.

The community in this game is a disgusting pile of trash. Incredibly toxic. And the devs do not do anything about it. So they are supporting the most toxic community in video game history. The average player ive come across sits in the corner and drools on their math test and writes on in "2+2=72925". With this little iq in players even simple boss mechanics are unplayable. Dont touch this piece of toxic trash!

Pros: If your biggest complaint with the series was "I CANT **** EXPLORE THE REST IF TAMRIEL???" your prayers have been answered. Cons: Enemies and bosses can be tedious, kinda pointless to play any other class besides templar, overuse of "one hit kill" mechanics, base game can be underwhelming.

After spending over 150 hours with just the base game, Elder Scrolls Online impressed me as a surprisingly solid single-player Elder Scrolls experience wrapped in MMO form. The world is vast and alive, with richly detailed cities, tons of NPCs, and a great sense of exploration that captures the heart of the series. The Aldmeri Dominion storyline offered a compelling arc, and I appreciated the freedom to wander and uncover quests naturally. However, ESO struggles with alt-friendliness—core progression like skyshards and skills are locked to individual characters unless you pay real money, which adds up quickly. Combat feels floaty and lacks the satisfying feedback of mainline entries, and dungeon content often feels empty due to minimal challenge and zero player interaction. Still, with a fair subscription model (ESO+) and years of content to explore, ESO is a strong recommendation for Elder Scrolls fans looking for a chill, low-commitment return to Tamriel—just don’t expect tight MMO mechanics or alt-friendly design.

I downgrade compared with Oblivion or Skyrim. The combat, big part of the game, is a mix of tab target and action combat, a common thing on MMOs, but any variation of tab target is dated, specially when the anterior games have pure action combat. A positive point is the variety of gears with unique buffs, what allow different builds. Craft System is the same, crafting system is the same of the other Elder Scroll Games, so is extremely simple and different from unfortunately for ESO, you can't add mods to improve It.

I tried hard to enjoy this game, but I can't take it seriously. It feels like a casual corporate theme park. The user interface is messy. The world doesn’t respect its past stories. The running and riding animations are embarassing. The music feels quite generic for a TES game. Questing is too easy, and people treat me as a hero when I'm just a low level. The auction system is confusing and wastes time. There is predatory monetization, limited inventory space without subscription and content separated in little packages so players buy extra content even after buying all the expansions. Pay 2 win conveniences and cosmetics on the shop. ON A SUBSCRIPTION GAME. Forums delete criticisms. As a mmo and The Elder Scrolls enjoyer, I'm very disappointed.

Bought it for 2 bucks on sale and still felt scammed. This game has one of the worst UI/UX I've seen in a game. Absolute garbage. After an hour I had to delete and request a refund for my 2 bucks.

Update: After a lot of hassle, ESO Support finally resolved all my issues. However, I had to escalate the matter multiple times and persistently push for a resolution. While I appreciate that they ultimately helped me, the process was far from smooth. It took too long, and I often received contradictory or unhelpful responses along the way. Originally, I rated my experience 1 star because of how frustrating the process was, but since they did solve everything in the end, I am updating my rating accordingly. If their support team were more proactive and efficient from the start, this would have been a much better experience. the game itself is very good. there are a lot here i love and not much i dont. the problem is with the world. this is an mmorpg, so inturn i will have to compare it to games like world of warcraft. and what eso severely lacks is a good and creative world. the combat is great and the game gives you variety. but the world is just not as interesting as wow.

This game is just boring filler with choppy animations and goofy fetch quests. Its also loadedwith social marxist propaganda. They constantly have to promote the message for "the modern audiance. You should not support people who dislike you.

Its just by far the best mmorpg around. i was sceptical at first, cause i dont particulary like TES. Its not a asia - grinder and leveling is always fun. the combat is really nice. its rather simple compared to other games, but its fun and good for new players. the only issue i have, is the questmarkers. ist sometime hard to follow and to now where you gotta go. qualitywise its on the same level as WoW

Too many bad questlines designed to waste time. Bad level design. Shady greedy business practices. Pay to play. Poor server performance. Most content feels like a chore.

I really wanted to like this game. I am a big fan of TES and I've played a few MMOs over the years, starting with Ultima Online, played casually on WoW, and got pretty into Rune Scape. Unfortunately, this game just isn't fun. Being able to go anywhere all the time regardless of level means the mobs scale "below" you, as the game "seriously" doesn't want you to lose, at least not in the early game. I'm sure there's good people playing, but the few people I interacted with basically told me to get lost when I was having early game struggles and didn't want to hear me saying that the early game content isn't fun. If the first 100 hours of your game aren't fun, your game is a bad game. Sorry, that's just how it is. It's not that way with other MMOs, or at least it wasn't when I was playing them, so I have no idea why people would want this kind of design for their games. Save yourself the hassle and pass on this game if you're either a fan of TES games OR if you're a fan of MMORPGs. Final Fantasy 14 is fun the entire time too, at least from what I played of it, and... well... the monetization is as bad as you'd expect in a phone game... There's a lot of good art here. Great voice acting. Great visuals, in spite of the game's age. It's a shame it's all wrapped around such a terrible game.

I rarely if ever play MMOs but this is so much more than that for me. A pretty underated game of course like every Bethesda title, is to be expected at this point. This is a very beautiful experience that can be solo and that what's best about it. Enormous world with countless things to do and see. First person combat different than any other MMO,this game feels elder scrolls and it is elder scrolls and it is only going to get better with time. People are going to hate because of course they will but that's okay because as less are the people in this game just let's this beautiful world shine even more.

The combat is solid and nothing special but this honestly has some of the best questing, world-building, and lore in a game I've seen. The setting itself was created before ESO but they way it was implemented in the game is truly remarkable. Honorable mention to the great music throughout the game

The Elder Scrolls Online, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game set in the beloved Elder Scrolls universe, offers a vast and immersive adventure that captures the essence of the franchise. The quests are often well-written and feature branching paths, providing meaningful choices that impact the narrative. The deep lore and fascinating characters add layers of depth to the overall experience.Gameplay in The Elder Scrolls Online strikes a balance between the familiar single-player Elder Scrolls formula and the cooperative nature of an MMO. Players can embark on solo adventures, exploring the world at their own pace and engaging in thrilling combat encounters. Additionally, while the game offers a vast amount of content, some areas or quests may feel repetitive or less engaging.

Very money hungry, cashgrab **** with one of the worse RNG systems I have ever seen. Dungeons don't actually give you mechs, you just keep dying until you hopefully figure it out, rude and most unhelpful gaming community which is awful for an MMO game. Never hope to get an Apex Mount unless you intend to spend over $700 on one crate. I've been playing this game since release and have spent over $1,000 in crown crates and have never gotten an Apex Mount just for reference. I try to hold out hoping Zenimax will make this game a bit better and they never do. It just get worse.

Good game with a lot of things to do.
I'd give it a 7 if there was a boosting option available.
For a solo player, spending 100 hours to level up a new class to "try it out" because you "picked wrong" at the start is such a **** experience - this is the sole reason as to why I stopped playing.

The Elder Scrolls series has always been popular for its single player games. It is only thanks to the fans of these games that the online game has remained playable for so long. For me this online game is a waste of time and unnecessary. It's just a cheap way to make more money using the name of the series. Nothing to do but wait for TES VI to come out.

Mediocre MMORPG not because of graphics ( that are bad and boring style by the way) but because of so POOR and boring gameplay mechanics. Not even worth it as a free game. An example of how to ruin a great game ( Skyrim , Oblivion, ..) because of not following their main mechanics. Also the people everywhere doing the same "unic" quests ruins the atmosphere of "you are the chosen one"..

I uninstalled Diablo IV and repurchased ESO on steam. Previously I had it on pc. Immediately I am thrust into a huge open world, with players bustling around me. I was so happy that I could level and gain power, that I just ended up fishing for a few hours to get some perfect roe. Even fishing, I could get a valuable item that helped my character upgrade itself. Perfect Roe is worth a lot of gold at guild traders. What a breath of fresh air! To be able to enter an unexplored area, after previously leaving the game for 3 years, this is the type of fun I wanted. Epic crafting system, really good character customization, and social interaction. Thanks for welcoming me back, ESO.

The combat is too dull. The skill system is too simple, only some handful skills that is usuable. To kill a monster, just keep spamming the same skills over and over again. This makes the combat aged fast. It only lasts for 2 hours long of actual fun, then I have to repeat the same way to kill something because there's not enough skill diversity in the game. Feeling bored after playing it for few hours because what I can do in the game is that doing some fetch quests and get the xp to level up. Killing monster gives me nothing useful, the xp is also neglectable when I am at a higher level. The item drop on the boss is laughable for getting all white and green items in a 15 minutes boss fight. Suprisingly the xp from the boss is also the same as I kill some weaker monsters. When I level up, I just don't understand why the attribute point can only increase the base stat instead of increasing the attack power, attack speed and such. There's so much potential content in the game, but everything seems so shallow without any depth to attract me to keep playing.

2022/23 and people still compare this game to Skyrim... *sights* not even the same engine.... The Elder Scrolls Online is an MMORPG which plays 200 years before Morrowind, so round about 450 years before Skyrim. So much for the time frame within the lore. TESO is still one of the best MMOs on the market til this date. Well written stories, decent graphics, a big lore, much to explore and no player level restrictions for open world maps. The sound with 7.1 is amazing and there is much to do. I needed more than 300 hours to complete all quests of the main game (without DLCs) and there are so many DLCs out by now that you can almost tripple that! The pvp is huge and there is a nice learning curve for raids when you're willing to learn mechanics. Expect it to be hard though. It is a very good game but do NOT expect it to be like Skyrim! It's a common mistake people make.

I'll start of by admitting that I am not huge into MMOs, but this is game just feels so bland and empty. I came to this game because my friends and I all loved Skyrim, but literally all the elements of what made Skyrim great (the story, the detail of the setting, the beautiful music) are all not here. I am struggling to play this game. At lvl 8 and it all just feels meh.

They ran this game into the ground. Their “DLC” is like stacking more trash onto a teetering garbage heap with a loose foundation. I played 1000’s of hours and the game has only gotten worse since 2017. It was salvageable if they could have focused on gameplay instead of creating more “content” behind paywalls. Their content is just reskinned zones with fetch quests and a few must haves to stay in the competitive loop. You just feel used for your money when you are paying $15 a month and you have to buy a $60 expansion every year that ends up being free if you buy the chapter next year. They only screw over their loyal base of players. The pvp used to be kinda fun but they completely screwed up the class identity and the pvp content has been the same for 6 years.

I recently tried ESO again and was so disgusted by the direction it has taken that I wanted to leave a warning so hopefully no one else makes the mistake of buying this garbage in its current state. ESO has always been pay to win... unrestricted storage, access to all DLCs as soon as they're released if you pay a monthly fee. In other words you have to pay 15$/month if you don't want to run weaker suboptimal builds and use your characters as storage banks. I've found ways around this but it's very tedious. It gets worse, though. ESO also changed how loot works to make it much more grindy. Now you have to run the same dungeon up to 30 times (more if you're unlucky) if you decide to use a weapon that you can't craft. There's no other way to get loot that's dropped in dungeons and only the final boss drops weapons. Even players from eastern MMOs would consider this level of grind inhumane. The worst part is recently they changed TOS to allow them to sell your user data. And in usual bethesda anti-consumer fashion (think fallout 76) they are very secretive about it. And if you ask too many questions they will ban you (again, think fallout 76). Pretty sure I'm still banned from posting about this on official forums but it doesn't really matter. Any post on their forums that hurts their bottom line immediately gets locked and deleted anyway... I mean, it's bethesda so why would you expect anything else?

Have played ESO since it’s initial and is definitely of my top player games ever. It used to be amazing but over the years became what it is now; a money grab with predatory systems. Also it’s not only the gamble crates I have an issue with, the developers seem to be out to get the PvP community as every single patch or update they screw over pvp players by an array of unwanted changes that require a completely new gear set up on a very regular basis. You couldn’t put this game down and come back to it after a year and use the same load out despite after a certain point all gear is the same level to wear. The developers have never listened to their own community complaints but instead do little streams that they refuse to tackle actual issues brought up in the chat. I wish this game was better, again I’ve loved eso for a very long time, it’s just in such a bad spot right now and honestly could use for a change in leadership

After roughly 40 hours of gameplay: As a long time lover of the elder scrolls games i have always wanted an online experience in this magical world we have all fell in love with, and this game delivers that and more. while sadly compromising some former lore, ESO may not make much sense to the OG elder scrolls purists. This game is still very good. After about 8 years of being out (November, 2022) the game has enough content for thousands of hours, and a fun online experience in a well done MMO experience. The game is very good, has all of the story, content, character building, a good fun leveling system, and everything else you could want from a modern MMO.

La entrada de la franquicia a los mmorpg no fue la mejor pero empezó a sentar las bases de lo que hoy es uno e los mejores del mercado
