DOOM: The Dark Ages8
Jun 1, 2025
The Doom Dark Ages is certainly doesn't take the direction I was hoping for the series but it still a pretty exceptional and satisfying FPS. It seems like with Doom 2016 the series had the most promising blueprint to reach the heights of a true masterpiece. Doom Eternal was a great attempt though it took things a bit much more further than it should imho. Now this game kinda feels like its trying to be fundamentally different that the 2016 which i find is not the best idea.

Crackdown 34
Mar 9, 2025
In a time where open world games like that or I guess games that are similar to GTA are starting to get tiresome and out of fashion Crackdown 3 comes in and propably being the worst of them all. The dialogue is atrocious and it is all the time to the point that is unbearable. As a third person shooter is terrible, it barely feels like you are shooting a gun. The open world is as generic and whatever as it gets and the design is not particularly eye pleasing. Extremely repetitive and outdated, terrible gameplay, the missions are boring and uninteresting.Theres no progression outside of finding some guns which most of them are useless, some gadgets that are all useless and just leveling up 4 stats that boost your damage and defence. It gives some kind of a wing suit but when you equip it you cannot carry grenades.Theres just one spot for a special ability, instead of having wing suit and grenades and a gadget at all times like Just Cause 3 for example, you must choose one of the three at a time which is a terrible idea. And if that wasn't enough, theres no menu where you can change your equipment so you need to go back to a safe zone everytime you want to change something. Then you have the typical reinforcements coming in forever like any game of this kind which is very annoying and tiresome. The story and characters are laughable, this game faking ****.

I honestly believe that avowed is a pretty good game. Unfortunately though it marks a time where graphic requirements have gone way too far. It this day the majority of gamers have hardware that is good enough to run a very realistic looking game. We can see with games on plain PS5 like Astrobot having graphics that can literally blow your mind while running with 0 issues. And yet when it comes to PC, we are not getting new releases that are focusing on delivering a product that looks incredible and works fine on an average PC which we already know should be possible. Instead we are getting something like avowed, a game that even though it does not by any means whatsoever look better than Astrobot on PS5, needs a 3-4 thousand dollar PC just to run properly. How more graphics does a game possibly needs to have at this point, who on earth can possibly percieve an image that is more high quality than a Premium PS5 game. And yet here we are, not being able to play a damn new release game because Nvidea or AMD needs to keep selling their dozens of brand new utterly and completely unnecessarily powerful thousand dollar graphic cards. This is grotesque, something needs to change and yet I very much doubt that it will. What we are about to witness with the release of the switch 2 is that Nintendo will easily be able to offer a product that will look as good as to absolutely take your breath away with a handheld device that will not even be nearly as powerful as the PS5,let alone an extremely powerful PC. And yet I can tell you that my Asus ROG Ally X which is currently the most capable handheld PC on earth cannot run this stupid game that It doesn't even look better than Tears of the Kingdom, on more than 20 FPS without upscaling. This is a total disgrace.

Metroid Dread10
Feb 15, 2025
I will start by saying that metroidvanias are propably my favorite genre so might be a little biased towards but still I think this is a great game for anyone who is willing to try it. So for me there are two games that I regard as the absolute best modern sidescroller Metroidvanias with those being Ori 2 and Metroid Dread. Ori excels in story telling and world design while Metroid Dread exceeds in action and complexity. In any case I find that Metroid Dread has more for me and so I would say it is currently the best game of the genre.

Really good game, not nearly a masterpiece especially nowadays. It is overated understandably because of its uniqueness in time of release. It has a unique design an satisfying fun combat. However it is sloppy with a lot of its aspects and with the things that it does and much like almost every single roguelike of this type is extremely repetitive. To my dear friends that calling this game a masterpiece in 2025, I only have to say expand your horizons try more video games and you might change your mind.

Some of the ridiculous justifications I have ever seen for the extremely low scores for this game. It really isn't a particularly great metroidvania game and it indeed is not anywhere near as good as other games we've seen in recent years. However it has some good things going for it, it is not by any means a terribble game and has been clearly review bombed by people who have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. If you have PS plus membership you can play this for free and if you are interested just go for it and please oh please pay no mind to the BS people are saying here.

It surprised me to see such high ratings for this game. I understand the story and narrative is really well done and it certainly looks alright but that's all in my opinion. The combat and gameplay overall is quite unremarkable, dull level design and sluggish repetitive progression throughout. No way that this game is anywhere near as good, definitely dont deserve more than 80 score, pretty underwhelming game.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time10
Jan 3, 2025
The game is more or less perfect and it really is by all means one of the best 3D platformers propably ever made. The difficulty is really not the best to be honest, it can feel absolutely brutal sometimes and it might take a lot of tries to get right. However the way that is designed with some of the hardest challenges being some of the best in the whole game so once you do it feels really nice. For anyone though who actually want to do everything in the game then it can be unbelievably difficult even for the more expert crash fans. In any case the game is huge, it has a ton of content with some of the most creative level design I ever ****'s a truly fun expertly designed game and it looks incredible, the graphics are outstanding making the world of Crash Bandicoot coming into life with some breathtaking environments.

Propably the best game I have ever played and I even played Elden Ring for hundreds of hours. This is for now in my opinion the absolute pinnacle of what a real time action JRPG can achieve. The game looks incredible even on performance mode and it beautiful design all around. The combat is incredible, the animations are world class and the attention to detail is beyond anything the series ever had before. It might not be exactly the game that every single person would give a ten but for me it certainly is. Square Enix might be my favourite developer and I can say with almost certainty that this is their finest work so far. This game is truly without a single doubt one of the greatest RPGs ever made!

This game is pretty genius and certainly quite unique with what it does. It doesn't exceed in anything in particular, the combat and platforming is pretty basic and not all that challenging for sure. What it does well though is the ideas that it brings and the way that it combines it's unique elements in a beautiful way. The narrative is interesting and the overall design is very well done and it really is a good looking ****'s never going to touch indie games that are focusing on excellent platforming or combat but it always be better when it comes to the overall experience and journey that it ****'s not exactly a masterpiece but it is a beautiful little experience that most gamers would appreciate in one way or the other.

Dec 21, 2024
Ziggurat 2 sure is a pretty interesting title that is a bit of a shame that more people know about. Is not excellent but is very unique and does what it does very well offering an experience that you might not quite find in another video game. It is extremely generous with its content, it has so many different characters, weapons and abilities it's quite incredible. Some of those weapons are some of the most creative I've seen. What I don't particurarly like is the design of the environments it's kinda weird it looks like everything is made of silicon. Also the shooting is not always the best, some weapons feel nice and some feel terrible. The level design is not the greatest and there's a lot of randomly generated reused staff that are getting old at some point. The progression and gameloop can be often quite repetitive which leads to not the most enjoyable experience.

Batora: Lost Haven5
Dec 17, 2024
This game is a bit of a joke, it is very half-baked and really feels quite unnecessary to have been developed in the first place. It tries to do it's own thing and it falls flat on it's face in my opinion, there's really nothing special or particurarly exciting here. It feels like an indie from another era, it is so outdated in every single way and I am not quite sure where the developers were even going with this game. Just so linear progression with repetitive combat, just so much of unnecessary boring dialogue, pretty stupid and annoying puzzles. The graphics are alright but the design is quite unremarkable. There's just so many indie games these days that simply found a formula that is unique, interesting and fun and this game is really not that at all. A very mediocre game, people who are giving this a 10 maybe they didn't even a play another game in their entire life.

This game is pretty genius and it really is no doubt one of the best rogue games at this point. The design is unique and stylish, combat is fast and varied and it has some really funny interesting characters. I could say that this game exceeds Hades on certain aspects and it is great that you are always racing again the games NPCs. Literally the only reason I am not giving this game a 10 is because the progression is kinda slow and it can take you quite a lot of time especially if you want to 100% this game. Other than that imo this is the only top town rogue game that can truly compete head to head with both the Hades games.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard10
Nov 1, 2024
Far better than previous entries when it comes to it's combat and mechanics. If you are in for a Dragon Age game that is much in line with Hogwarts Legacy with its combat and characters who at the very least are actually talking and having opinions instead of being empty husks like they were in inquisition then give this game a ****'s a good looking game, it is polished free from any technical issues etc. the combat is well animated, the visual effects look really impressive. Battles are more involved, skill trees are much more extensive providing a better sense of character progression more focused on personal preferences. It is a single player game through and through,I don't even think there's any kind of micro transactions either. Even the dialogue is not nearly as bad as they might lead you to believe. If you love Dragon Age you should either now or after a sale give this game a try because you might be amazed by how much removed the game actually is compared to what even the most popular reviewers on YouTube are saying.

Elex nowadays without the bugs it had on release and with a good amount of polish from patches it really is quite incredible. If you can really appreciate the piranha bytes approach and you are not bothered by how different is compared to other RPGs then it can be a really great experience. Coming back after finishing Elex 2, which is certainly inferior in my opinion, playing Elex on PC for the first time I am just impressed. The world of this game is just so incredibly beautiful, rich and so well crafted. Certainly not for everyone I guess but for piranha bytes fans or RPGs of this kind I it very much worth a try.

Deadlink7
Sep 28, 2024
It's a pretty fun and engaging FPS roguelite, it offers style and satisfying shooting combat mechanics. The combat is fast and you can really find some guns you don't usually find in more conventional fps games. What sets it apart from other similar games is that your character has a skill set for each cycle and you have to use all of them in order to succeed and for activating other passive abilities while doing so and that makes for an engaging gameplay that keeps you on your toes. What i dont like about it is the slow progression and the almost non existence effort to make each cycle feel different and to keep things from being repetitive. Every area and encounter is almost exactly the same for every cycle and the upgrades you make require quite a lot of grinding and that leads to a sluggish progression that it can feel like a chore.

I am quite impressed by this game and do really believe as many people as possible should give it a chance. It really brings some new ideas into the roguelike genre in a way that the process of restarting each cycle doesn't feel as repetitive as it usually does in other similar games. The art style is great, the game look gorgeous for my taste at least. The characters are all unique and incredibly different from each other with most of them having some really inventive and fun gameplay. I think it's a great game, not a masterpiece but for any fans of a hades that want to try something with a more open approach on exploration and plenty of different characters instead of weapons, this is a must try imho.

I am not quite sure what this game is trying to be, is certainly not a boomer shooter because its really not quite like those kind of games. It kinda tries to immidate hald life 2 and it fails pretty miserably imho, not only it looks like crap and worse than what half life 2 looked back in the day but also shooting is not nearly as good either. Sometimes you might hear people talking about this games story as the reason it is so great but as somebody who don't cares about stories and had skipped the cutscenes it is still a masterpiece. Artistically and aesthetically this game is masterfully design, it is beautiful just like a fairytale. Then the movement, traversing or platforming is flawless. The fact that this game is a third person action game, a Shoot em up, a side scroller and an it also incorporates arcade mini games all together the way it does is simply genius. But even with all that being said nothing is quite as excellent as the combat, it is fast, responsive, challenging, incredibly well animated, by the end of the game you are kicking so much machine ass in a fashion that is beyond discription. 100% masterpiece, total respect to anyone who don't like it but sorry you are missing the point, maybe try to look a little bit harder for the brilliance next time.

It's a pretty fine game with quite a few things going for it but overall is not particularly special and it might get repetitive or even boring at times. The combat is well animated with some cool moves or combos but I didn't find it all that satisfying or enjoyable, it feels a bit button mashy and not very exciting in general. The game or level design is pretty generic, nothing too out of the ordinary while it's also quite linear with almost non-existent exploration. The enemy design is pretty cool, it has a fair amount of different monsters etc. while it also gives you a fair amount of different abilities, each weapon has a different style and moves to it so it kinda keeps things interesting on that department. Overall it really is just your typical 7 out of 10 JRPG.

A free to play live service third person shooter which is as generic as it gets, who even ask for this kind of thing ? All you do Is shooting in this game and shooting doesn't even feel that good. I lacks innovation or anything that makes it special enough to spend big amounts of time on it. Necromunda: Hired Gun7
Jun 9, 2024
After spending 21 hours and completing pretty much the entirety of this game my main thoughts are the following, while it has some characteristics of a truly great action game it also suffers by a number of issues that makes the game more in line with your slightly above average or 7/10 game. So it's an FPS action game with some light rpg elements like leveling up and upgrading some gear and abilities, so far so good and overall that's what it does well. It offers some good action while also featuring a well implemented grappling hook thing which it can really make a difference, also the shooting I think it's good enough and feels nice. What is not so great is the technical issues, how it looks and that it is in my opinion a rather outdated video game, also the characters not so great but I can live with that. So the game absolutely does not look next gen at least the way I experienced it, the vivid colors realistic high quality textures etc are not here. It is more reminiscent of an early to mid PS4 era FPS. Finally in a technical aspect this game is just terrible, from regural bugs and glitches, stacking in environments game crashing every 1-2 hours, HUD just disappearing from the screen for large amounts of time etc. A pretty big mess overall.

It is more or less a masterpiece, for me at least for sure. I dont think that everybody is going to love doom eternal, for anyone who might seek a more grounded experience or maybe a more methodical shooter like the older games might find themselves a little bit distracted or overwhelmed from all the things that are going down in this game. For a person who really just want to kill as many demons as possible as fast as possible with incredible graphics and level design, big variety of different enemies and weapons and collect a few things here and there in a decently lengthy and meaty campaign, Doom eternal is almost as good as it possibly can get at the moment.

The most unjustifiably hated video game ever made IMO, to the point of real descust on my part.I will try and explain, is this about the Bethesda hate train, maybe. Is this a broken game,I didn't played back in the day but it runs perfectly on a descent PC now. Does it look bad, no it actually looks gorgeous in every department in my eyes. Does it abandon its roots,I dont think so,Wolfenstein has always been a fps looter and it still is with the addition of a few perks and weapon mods which they make the game more interesting in my opinion. Is it because of the co-op, no it shouldn't be, everyone loves coop so why not have it in one Wolfenstein game. Is it online only, no. Is it shorter, a bit but it was sold for a lower price. Is it the level design, absolutely not in my opinion. Is it about the new characters, I think the girls are cute and good protagonists for the game. Is this not fun or a bad shooter, certainly not. Is it the story, maybe but it shouldn't be enough to land a game on such lows on it's own. Will those reviews mean the end of a beloved and historic video game franchise, that's for sure!

Some early game impressions on this game which I more or less enjoy so far. So last epoch is really a very conventional isometric arpg,it takes obvious inspirations from both Diablo 2 and path of exile and it's being quite unapologetic about it. The art style is also not too far removed from path of exile though it has a much less dark tone which is welcomed and the game it really looks great. What Is different in last epoch is the way you progress and upgrading your active skills in a way that suits your preference. Also it gives you a class that can evolve into different subclasses doing so as you see fit which is an excellent approach in progression. I think last epoch is a great game, maybe is playing it a bit safe on some aspects but it makes up for it,I am sticking with 8 though it might change once I complete the campaign.

I don't think this game is really that bad but I can't help but feel that is one of those quite overrated games where people are just grabbing on to something like the cyberpunk theme or whatever and they are giving 10 out of 10 scores and let me tell you if that's what a 10 game is then I'll be damned. It is boring, repetitive, monotonic and overall a pretty generic twin stick shooter that it barely has anything particularly special about it. The progression feels really slow and insignificant, enemies are all the same, places all look the same, fights feel the same. I hate to compare and it's really not something I usually do but if you wanna see what an actually good isometric action game is just try Hades, Path of Exile or Grim Dawn and hopefully you will see the difference.

Apr 27, 2024
I have not finished the main game yet so I will be updating this. So the game is really good, the best thing about it is that it offers a huge, very comprehensive passive skill tree which can make a difference. The game plays great on my PC on max settings, it feels a bit clunky at times but rarely. The game looks pretty good on a good PC especially on areas that are not very dark, the textures are really solid, unfortunately most of the areas I've seen so far are dark and gloomy which it doesn't help for the game look better on modern hardware.Dark is the tone and theme of the game though,a land ravaged of all kinds of horrors. The gameplay is nice with a huge variety of different enemies and spells you can use to destroy them. I am not sure yet if the game is the king of the genre like many people are saying but it sure is a great game, better than Diablo 3, Chaosbane or even victor vran in my opinion. Definitely not better than Hades though they are incredibly different, haven't played Diablo 4 so no opinions there.

I have not finished this game but I just really felt I had to say a few things about it.This is one of the greatest examples of what a small new studio with a brand new IP and a very limited budget can do when time and opportunity is given to people with incredible talent and video game design understanding. I have played so many shooters from huge AAA titles to AA to indies and truly very few can come even close to how this game is managing to capture the old school boomer shooter aesthetic while at the same time looking super modern and have amazing graphics. The combat is just so fast, so satisfying with some of the most spot on sound design and fps mechanics I've ever experienced.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun7
Apr 23, 2024
Boltgun is really a very fun game, an exceptional boomer shooter, and it's particularly satisfactory to gun down either heretics or ****'s really a game that puts **** aside and focuses on how to make an fps that is all about fun through excellent sound design and shooting mechanics. Still I don't believe that is a perfect game and I had my fair amount of issues with it which I would adore to see them resolved in a sequel and that would be just excellent. The enemy design is just superb no issues there, the level design it's always good, it starts a bit basic and it goes bad **** crazy by the end. However the game is not exactly good looking, the retro design is well appreciated and fitting but it doesn't justify the game looking a bit ugly at times. Then my first major issue is that you can really get lost in this game, while it's understandable that it tries to capture the old school magic, still it should have some kind of optional assistance because I got lost in this game more times that I can count. Finally the difficulty is really not exactly well optimized or balanced, while the game has a hard difficulty that was perfect for me for the most part, some of the encounters especially bosses or mini bosses were ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL to the point where I was begging for mercy. There are some accessibility options that can resolve this issue at any time but still it strips you out of the satisfaction of winning fair and square.

DOOM8
Apr 21, 2024
I have played it back in the day on PS4 and I also played it now on maximum settings and frame rate on PC and it looks and plays incredible while still being one the greatest and best designed FPS games ever. Shooting in this game is just superb, it feels great, it gives the perfect amount of satisfaction, the enemy design or the finishing move animations they all look fantastic. The difficulty on hurt me plenty was just perfect for me it provides a fair amount of challenge for the most part while not being overly punishing or unfair. The sound design especially for the guns is spot on, the plasma rifle is certainly one of the best you have in any shooter. What keeps it from being a 10 out of 10 masterpiece nowadays in my opinion are just 2 factors. One of them is that in post Doom eternal time you just know that the Doom formula can really go vastly more wild. Whether it's platforming, the expanded variety in enemies, weapons, different environments etc or even the implementation of more bosses and overall the way more extreme gameplay of Doom Eternal is really lacking here and it is quite noticable coming back. And last which it might not be the biggest issue, especially for the time but the campaign of the gane is pretty short never taking more that 15 hours even if you try to do as many things as possible. Excellent game totally worth playing just a bit underwhelming compared to its grandiose successor.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice0

I just hate this game,it's way too difficult. I have finished Elden Ring and the Nioh games with some help from summons but I just cannot possibly do it here. I can't say anything more,I understand that for a very skilled gamer this might be great. I am not that bad myself, I played a hella lot of games but sekiro its just unplayable to me because of the difficulty so I cannot give anything else other than 0 for a game that I cannot play. I really don't want to undermine anyone's enjoyment with this game, maybe it's just my skill issue but I honestly believe that this is a fundamentally bad game, one that is not investing in the concept of having fun but on being punished for your own existence, a game that tries to make you pity yourself for how unskilled and pathetic you are. I see how people might enjoy this whole idea for a game but not me personally.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon7

Nothing particularly shines about armor core 6 in my opinion. The overall design of the game is not very special and it doesn't even look all that great for it's time either. The weapons are very generic, just a bunch of explosions and lasers, nothing very unique with the game overall lacking of any kind of character or personality of its own. Just a game with big robots shooting big guns on one another and blowing **** up while some random people mumble about nonsense in the background. The over reliance of fromsoftware games being soulslike, being too difficult and focusing too much on boss fights here shows more than anywhere else. You have a mech shoot em up game which instead of focusing on being as fun as possible like a game of this kind should be, it tries instead to be punishing and throws you into a boss fight every 10 ****'s still a good game overall but highly overrated also, people have gotten used to rating fromsoftware excellent for anything it seems.

Outcast: A New Beginning6

I started pretty excited with this game and I was really enjoying my time with it for the first few hours but after a certain point I realize that even though the game have good qualities it doesn't live up to the legacy of the classic original game. So from what I can tell all the work, effort and resources went on the world building which is in all honesty pretty incredible, it looks gorgeous and it's very well designed. You have a very vertical world with huge mountains and canyons or desserts, giant trees etc. combining with a very exciting traversal system, on all those regards it's great. Everything else though are pretty bad, the combat is very basic with very little depth and really weak enemy variety and design. The level design is almost non existent with all enemy bases being copy pasted allover the map and without having any complexity or creativity. And finally the game is really suffering from a lot of technical issues like frame drops, bugs, enemies disappearing or get stack in mid air, multiple crashes throughout my playthrough. The story is overall pretty much nonsense. And as if all those weren't enough after 38 hours of gameplay doing almost everything the game wouldn't trigger the final mission rendering me unable to play the ending.

Evil West7

So after finishing this game in its entirety I can say that I came out with some moments of pure joy and also dreadfulness or ****'s really not a bad game but it's not even close on being great either especially for nowadays. It really has not much of an identity is just a generic western themed action game with cowboys and vampires with all its cliches and everything. The gameplay overall it's a bit reminiscent of late ps3 times, with some modern visuals and sound design. I am still giving it a 7 though because for what it does, it does it pretty well. It can be fun, the combat is cool and it sometimes feels very satisfying, the whole story even though is cliche I would say it's fine with some fairly interesting villains. The enemy variety - design or the sound are just really great, there are some truly wicked looking monsters in this game. What is not great it's the level design which is extremely linear, failing to provide any complexity or creativity and offering zero sense of exploration. The difficulty is allover the place with times being very easy and times being pretty hard and it really has the most bullet spongy bosses that I have ever seen in a game with them needing hundreds of bullets to die especially on hard difficulty or higher.Overall,it's a cool game but that's all, it could not exist or disappear and would had made any difference.

I don't particularly enjoy this game, it's a new title from a small studio but still its just not good enough. The game looks like a ps3 for some reason which is weird. The game is too linear and is throwing you into a boss fight every 15 minutes with too few enemies in between to grind. The combat is not the worst but the progression system and character build is pretty basic. Also I feel like the green color is way overused in this game, the character, the weapons, the menus even the blood I think,it's like playing green dark souls or something.
