I remember technical problems at release (texture loading wonky, downtown fps, looong loading times), but it was like crack for 2 weeks straight. I didn't like the lack of quest variety (less quests than Skyrim overall), the reliance on settlements / radiant stuff, the dialogue system was unclear and too restricting (even if it was deceptively deeper than it lets on); that was changed in Starfield and I'm glad. I actually liked the voiced protagonists, amazing performances, but I feel like it limited **** terms of exploration, fun and immersion it's top notch, the map is amazing, gameplay loop is solid, shooting feels nice, music is a vibe. Making settlements is creative and it just works. Character editor was awesome. A thing I really liked is how the factions were diegetic, dynamic and interwoven with the main quest (after the Prydwen arrives, you will actually see the BoS going around cleaning the Commonwealth, or Deacon following you, stuff like that). I would have done more with the Institute. Additions like Far Harbor and survival mode really made it great, and of course modders made amazing stuff. Review is negative because **** paid mods, broken updates and anniversary creatively bankrupt edition. I expect better, leave 10+ year old single player games alone if all you want is to break it and the tradeoff is paid mods ffs. Bethesda is sabotaging their own games.

This game was, still is, condensed next-gen hype, but with eternal longevity. The initial cinematic and the music gave me chills, instantly captivating me. Coming from Morrowind, I remember the character creator being incredible but difficult to use, the chains in the starting cell that had physics! Coming out of the sewers has become a core memory. The forests and flowers, the animals, the ancient ruins, the sky with its sunsets, the graphics were the best ever seen. Combined with the soundtrack, to which I attribute a good 50% of the experience, the atmosphere was simply divine, a painting made real and interactive. And I could go and do whatever I wanted, all the NPCs were voiced! And with artificial intelligence that felt real, with their day-night routines, their conversations. The combat was no longer based on a D&D-style dice system; it was visceral. I always hit based on my player skill, and enemies would fly back after taking my hits. There was a dedicated button for spells, without having to unequip the weapon. I accidentally went straight to the Arena, where there was an entire questline and a super pumped announcer. Acrobatics so leveled that I was jumping from roof to roof. I completed the main quest and immediately after the Dark Brotherhood. Iwill never forget Lucien Lachance. Then Bethesda released The Shivering Isles and those who know, know. So much freedom and open-world content were truly rare. Yes, now it's a meme generator, and even back then, many things were frustrating like the leveling system that caused OCD and required studying the manual, or the loading times with the hard disk. But this game was a milestone, and it represents the soul of what gaming could and dared to be once. I played it religiously until Fallout 3. Then I played it again. I never really stopped replaying it, with 2006 eyes. Then Bethesda even made a frigging amazing remaster (plus)!

This is Skyrim. It speaks for itself. This is peak gaming right here.Special edition was gifted to me by Bethesda, for free. I played it for 864 hours. Nuff said.

I tried hard to enjoy this game, but I can't take it seriously. It feels like a casual corporate theme park. The user interface is messy. The world doesn’t respect its past stories. The running and riding animations are embarassing. The music feels quite generic for a TES game. Questing is too easy, and people treat me as a hero when I'm just a low level. The auction system is confusing and wastes time. There is predatory monetization, limited inventory space without subscription and content separated in little packages so players buy extra content even after buying all the expansions. Pay 2 win conveniences and cosmetics on the shop. ON A SUBSCRIPTION GAME. Forums delete criticisms. As a mmo and The Elder Scrolls enjoyer, I'm very disappointed.

Good game but not great. It is not as memorable as **** graphics are good but inconsistent. Interiors are highly detailed, barren planets are atmospheric. However, planets with life look outdated, and the lighting is inconsistent. Space is overly bright, and the planets are not very exotic. New Atlantis lacks a next-gen look.Character creation is good, but I prefer the Fallout 4 style over Starfield's sliders.Crowd NPCs look bad, and they do not react like they did in previous Bethesda games. There is little interaction compared to Oblivion or Skyrim. Important characters models are good but could be improved.Sound effects are excellent, but the music is average, resembling Fallout's style. I only notice certain tracks, like the New Atlantis OST, while others, like Neon, seem out of place.Ship customization and the rover are AMAZING, best part of the game.I enjoyed the main story, but it felt rushed, and some quests felt radiant. While I liked the ending, but as fun as ng+ variations can be, the rest of the game doesn't really support that system. I liked Sarah, Barret, and Andreja, but they seemed too virtuous. Sam is underwhelming. There aren’t many in-depth companions outside of **** factions are uneven, with Crimson Fleet and Vanguard being good, Freestar mediocre, and Ryujin the worst due to fetch missions and unsatisfying stealth gameplay.Gameplay is solid, with excellent physics. Ship combat is fun, shooting feels good, and movement is satisfactory, with cool jetpacks and animations. Some powers are good and fun, while others are **** RPG elements are strong compared to Fallout 4, no voiced protagonist (more replayability). There are MANY dialogues and a clever persuasion mini-game, but choices are limited, mostly related to factions, and companions react strongly to disagreements. Many essential NPCs cannot be killed. Lockpicking has issues with rewards.Enemy diversity is lacking despite the numerous alien creatures, as they all behave similarly.Loot is disappointing, with few unique weapons and no unique weapon models, just skins. Cities are decent but may appear small from afar, but there is considerable running involved so it is understandable. Neon has excessive loading screens, while places like New Homestead are lovely. It’s hard to believe humans live on planets with high **** game's optimization at release was poor, with missing options and performance issues, though post-launch support has improved it with a new map system and gameplay features. Bounty hunting could be **** five biggest problems are: planet exploration becomes repetitive quickly with repetitive landscapes; space travel is limited to jumps with loading screens, ruining immersion; world-building and lore are lacking depth; loading screens are overly frequent; and paid mods are detrimental to the community. The game has great potential but feels overly ambitious. We will see what lessons are learned for TES6, which needs to be perfect.7/10

My expectations were low but I was really interested in seeing Obsidian's take on an immersive, modern fantasy game in the Pillars Universe. Have to say I'm really disappointed by this game. There is nothing special here, dialogue in particular is very mediocre and it doesn't fit a fantasy world. The setting and the intro are interesting, but I found the characters and the story dull in the long run. I don't like how the game also tries to lecture the audience. The hud is some of the worst I have ever seen, but it's nice it's customizable. The world interactivity is barebones, even compared to 20 year old games. The graphics are ok, the art direction is very good, but the game stutters a lot on a modern rig. This ain't it after so much dev time, for 70€. I expected much better.

Had fun, not as much as with TES tho. Game could be improved a great deal, so many problems. It's bound to be polarizing. **** paid mods. **** 30 fps optimization. Also **** Charles ****.
