I put my hands together for the few pairs of Arms fans out there, and I’m sorry for all the hate this series is getting but I extend an olive branch to put the “whoas” to rest in hopes the next DLC character is someone better.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Latest DLC character Min Min is one part Dhalsim, one part Pokemon Trainer, and one of the more exciting (if tricky to wield) concepts for a Smash character yet.

Of all characters to be put in a Smash Bros. game, an ARMS character shouldn't be one of 'em. Her main gimmick is her stupendous reach with her noodle arms, one of which can be changed between three types with down special to meet her needs. She's got a stupidly strong up smash with a REFLECTOR (I know it's referenced in her game, but it should've been a very specific thing only when you're fighting another Min Min and you reflect or disable her arms) to make it even more obnoxious. She's more or less a better Little Mac. To point back to my review of Smash Bros. Ultimate overall, the gameplay is fast. Too fast. And not in a good way. So, with a character like Min Min, it's incredibly difficult to get close to her and even if you do, she can just dodge and do whatever afterward to solve the problem or mash her standard attack flurry. The game's tips wanna make it seem like shielding her arm attacks will leaver her vulnerable, but that's a straight-up lie. Anyway, most players will start off using her Ramram arm since both arms together can cover the ground and air. This alone should speak for itself. It doesn't do a lot of damage, but that doesn't matter when she's got two other arms she can switch to instantly. The Dragon arm is comparably absurd to the Ramram arm. When she's edge guarding, she can just snipe you from the edge of the stage which means she can commit to it far less than most characters. The left arm is the Dragon by default and can't be changed, but if she grabs you (and by the way her grab actually grabs unlike most since it's one of the longest in the game), that arm gets a powered-up state where its lasers are stronger for roughly 20 seconds and the range is extended to 3/4 of Final Destination. This can be ended prematurely if you can grab her, but good luck with that. This state is apparently also applied to her if she gets a Smash Ball too. The Megawatt arm might be the least egregious in terms of sheer annoyance. Shortest reach, but high-powered. It's mostly used for taking stocks and it's ridiculous how much damage it can rack up if not used for smashes. If you miraculously get her off-stage, her recovery is above average. It's a tether-style move which means she's guaranteed to make it back on-stage with little to no chance of stopping her if it connects to the ledge and she doesn't have to be that close in the first place. She can pretty much be under the stage and still grab the ledge from there. At least it can't be used like Byleth's. It'd probably be different if her arms could be neutralized for some time if it was Perfect Shielded or maybe even clashed with by some moves while also making her vulnerable when it happens like how Ridley's neutral special can leave him vulnerable if he's hit while it's charging. Overall, she's a badly-designed character--or better yet, one of the worst candidates for a Smash Bros. fighter. I'm rating a bit higher than I otherwise would've 'cause I like the stage more than the character tied to it although that's not sayin' much since like a lot of the new stages, it's closer to a Battlefield clone than anything interesting although it's fitting considering its home game. The music is pretty good too. My favorites are Ribbon Ring, [NAME REDACTED], and Vs. Hedlok.

Min Min is the best in my opinion. She's definitely a juggernaut. Although it lacks alt. Costumes. The main four are already her main appeal. it'd be interesting if she have a different color appearance from a selected previous character in a series. Some players may find her annoying at first, but there are still players enjoying playing as her, even Min Min mains too. It's obvious that she has the longest range of all the fighters there is. It would be even better if they decided to put more fan favorite characters in a next smash bros installment including Twintelle. There might be a chance for "ARMS" to recieve a sequel with Min Min on Smash. Who knows. I highly recommend it. 10/10 P.S : This is my honest review.

Say it with me, people. "Why does Up Smash have a reflector??" "Why can she cheat by attacking me at the corner of the stage??" "Why is she good??"

The idea of having an ARMS character become playable post-launch was quite bizarre, especially with Spring Man (arguably the most recognisable character) already an Assist Trophy. We ended up with Min Min; a character whose inclusion feels incredibly forced, both by her role in the base game as a spirit and by her being the first ARMS character to be playable in the series (it's like if Diddy Kong became playable before Donkey Kong). In a nutshell, I don't have a favourable opinion of Min Min as a fighter choice. The stage she comes with; Spring Stadium, is visually appealing. It of course comes with music from ARMS; these tracks range from good ("ARMS Grand Prix Official Theme Song", "DNA Lab") to downright annoying ("Ribbon Ring"). Gameplay-wise, Min Min is a unique fighter with massive range. So we have the worst DLC character choice thus far but with unique gameplay, a pretty good stage but with a mixed music selection, and a weird Spirit Board with spirits already in the base game (though there are some new ones). Altogether, this makes for a mediocre pack of DLC and thus the game's worst DLC thus far. Between Byleth and Min Min, and with five more packs on the way, I hope that they can re-ignite the hype factor that Super Smash Bros. is known for.
