With its updated visuals and all of the new content and characters, in its third season Killer Instinct has evolved into a truly great fighting game.

Since its release, Killer Instinct has slowly become one of the most competent fighters in the genre. It's accessible at all levels thanks to its approachable yet deep combo system and extensive tutorial. Its characters, including the new ones from Season 3, all have unique mechanics and tons of small touches that bring them to life. With an efficient and non-scummy free-to-play model and PC availability, there are few reasons not to jump into Killer Instinct.

If the rest of its content drops are as good as this, it could end up being one of the better Microsoft platform exclusives.

Killer Instinct: Season 3 is another solid outing from the ever improving team at Iron Galaxy Studios. Whether you've been training for awhile or you're stepping into the dojo for the first time, you'll find plenty of enjoyable content here.

So far, I remember downloading over 60gb on updates for this game. Could be more, though. Someone gotta tell these boys at Iron Galaxy that updating is not fun. Specially when it comes to a fighting game which quick instant action is the core appeal. By the time the next 5gb update is ready, momentary interest is already gone. Let alone the fact that not everybody got a fast Internet connection and regular updates could render hours of inability to play. I'm looking forward giving Killer Instinct another try. When it is finished, that is.

Aeeeeyy this game is priddy gud Killer **** where they make you spend 40$ per DLC release but people don't seem to care because it's Rareware being manipulated by Microsoft. At least it's Rareware right? On lifesupport

A game of 2013 that just is completed in 2016... Well done Rare, you know how to innovate in this industry. Street Fighter V may be incomplete but at least has better controls and not make us wait more than 2 years. The graphics are good, but Mortal Kombat X has more fighters and more variety.
