Overall, it’s been a joy to jump back into classic Halo. There’s a wonderful new sheen to this makeover but the gun game underneath is still addictive, brilliant shooter fun like it always was. And now that it is on Playstation, gamers who have always steadfastly stuck to that ecosystem will get a chance to enjoy a true great in the gaming catalogue in all its modernised glory.

I’ve never quite fully gotten to grips with the motion control move-the-Switch-around-to-aim system on top of the thumbstick physical in-game character movement. But it does its jobs well enough in this title not to be a complete nuisance.

It’s feels intuitive and looks amazingly smooth on-screen as you button bash and combine skills to take down armies of starships. A great addition to the Switch 2 library and a must-buy for gamers.

A truly lovely action RPG that’s easy to pick up for all types of gamers but is full of depth and longevity over a thousand years of adventuring.

It has a clear vision and roadmap for the future. So hopefully as the months go by we’ll get more content and eSports players will take to it, which could spur on their fandoms to make this a success. [Review-In-Progress score = 60]

In each of the modes, the gameplay is fun, light and the players nicely controllable. It’s great to have recognised stars and their likenesses in-game and the smoothness of the gameplay stands out for footie fans seeking a decent matchplay title that works on-the-go. Overall, a really decent soccer game for a bargain price on Switch 2.

Each discovery can lead to new avenues of exploration on these living pages and even more discoveries. As players progress, more chapters of the book will unlock and expand research opportunities. From woodland areas and windy mountaintops, to sunny seasides and bug-infested jungles, each one is packed with unique habitats for the subjects of Yoshi’s studies.

Overall, this is a fantastically fast, smooth as silk motor game experience that is packed with cars and content way above just one vs one races. It stays true to the tried and tested arcade Forza Horizon formula while expanding on the scale, beauty and replayability of previous titles with a huge array of unlocks and modes to enjoy both solo and multiplayer. A podium topping finish.

This is a great showcase for the PS5 and well worth a look for those seeking a sci-fi epic packed full of challenge.
