It's everything I wanted it to be, and Melee's true successor. [Issue#257, p.60]

Smash is fun. That’s one of the most boring words to use in a video game review, I know, but I can’t sum it up any other way. Nintendo’s developers made it an obvious objective and they’ve unequivocally hit the motherload. You’ll feel like you did too, so make sure you’re tossing opponents off-stage to explore it all.

The online multiplayer isn’t perfect, but it’s light years beyond what was present in Brawl and comparable to the 3DS version. Even still, the easiest way to say it is like this: The Wii U release is the best version of Smash Bros. to date.

If you want a fighting game that is easy to get into and even easier to enjoy Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is the only fighting game you need to have.

It's downright glorious in its focus on local multiplayer. Cramming your room with seven friends and playing this until dawn like it was the mid-2000's is just the best reminder of why I love video games.

It's a game dedicated to fans, and it doesn't show any interest in bringing in newcomers. Despite that, players that loved the previous chapters will find here countless hours of epic fights.

The core mechanic from the original game is still there, but it feels more refined and polished than before. Though the amiibo integration feels like an after-thought it's still a fun party game to play with your friends.

Not bad but not for me I guess, I still loved it since it was my first smash bros game but as I got older I appreciated it less

I like it but some of the game modes are unnecessary, and master and crazy hand orders or whatever they are called not good

There’s a lot to love about this game, but at the end of the day it gets demoted a lot in my ranking simply because it’s not melee. It’s a lot of fun to play, but it fails to reach the same heights as melee did.

This game's basically the same game as the last 3, but with new characters and a price tag of a triple A game. If you don't want to waste money on a game with barely any content. than play project M. Everyone loves this game just because its made by nintendo and they love the characters, not in the game, but for what made them "them". I cant justify this game being $60. Its really closer to the same game than call of duty is each year. And people hate activision for it. This game took 2 years to make, and its just sad. Really sad.
