Here's the only issue – if this game could be so masterfully re-created, so well crafted from a blend of original gameplay and much needed updates, all wrapped in a beautifully hand-drawn package that shines in high-definition wide-screen format – why can't every classic game be remade in such a way?

The single-player is incredibly challenging as is the online multiplayer, so Capcom has given you the chance to reminisce with the beloved series once again and use any one of your favorite 17 characters from the roster.

Voto alla versione arcade di Street Fighter II. Pietra miliare della storia dei videogiochi. **** leggendari, gameplay eccezionale, giocabilità alle stelle. Capolavoro.

This beautiful re-creation of SSF II is a great 2D fighting game for both newbies and die-hard fans. Visually, it is a stunner. The new colorful art style looks fantastic and the animation is fluid. I only wish the game contained more modes. As it stands, HD Remix is a real treat for those who enjoyed the original iteration. It captures the classic "Street Fighter II" feel perfectly. I would rate it with 9 out of 10.

Game Over Online
If you spent any time at all on SF2 as a kid, on your SNES or Genesis or down at your arcade, this is a must-have nostalgia bomb.

I can't think of a better way to spend your online dollars -- Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is the best version of SFII yet, if not the best Street Fighter game in 15 years.

So HD Remix isn't for everyone, but the gameplay represented in this download is extraordinarily balanced and deep.

We’re also happy to inform fans that HD Remix is one of the tightest, lag-free online fighters we’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. [Jan 2009, p.104]

That doesn't mean the online play is perfect. In fact, many people have reported matchmaking issues and assorted glitches. Matchmaking shouldn't be a problem when playing with friends via invites (on either PSN or XBL), but when playing random players it's a mixed bag.

Pretty good port of the original. Though not nearly as charming. Plays like it should. Good Game!

So much effort for what? original pixel version martch much better image quality and animation quality. Can you imagine watching Dragon Ball Brodi or One punch man animated at 8 fps? SFTHDR only enhances graphics but not enhancing animation, so animations looks like 1990 videogames, while graphics looks like regular 2000 flash web series. More even, there were hundreds of animes with better visuals even in the 80's. So no, the HD remix was a visual failure from the art POV, the origianl at least has this nostalgia, and that's whay only a portfor PS3 and Xbox360 exist. SFIII 3rd Strike was the pinnacle of the SF 2D games (and SF games in general, as the 3D versions are OK, but felt so plastic...) in visuals, style, gameplay, balance and animation, and that's it. I mean a "0" vote feels unfair at any point for any game, but this version felt totally unnecessary and wasted
