Still Wakes The Deep is one of those games that you don't expect, but which manage to grab you deeply.

This horror adventure goes straight to the point and tells us its story in a convincing way. Not especially remarkable gameplay-wise , but its narrative tide will drag you in.

If you’re as thalassophobic as I am, you play in the dark and you live alone? Well, you’ll definitely still get a lot out of it, but you’ll also score a temporary paranoia that renders every shadow and rustling noise in your house a potential threat – in the best way.

Impeccably weaving Lovecraftian horror with real human emotion, Still Wakes the Deep is a fantastic, tense tale that we're not going to forget in a hurry. It's just the right amount of horrifying in all the right places, brought to life with characters who feel as believable as people you'd meet on the street. Only a few technical issues bring it down a little, but they're not enough to truly sully the experience.

Though some tension is lost in the binary and sometimes simplistic encounters with the creature, its physical makeup, and behavior are the game's best aspects and rise to be deeply unsettling, if not terrifying. All of this makes Still Wakes The Deep a story that memorably tugs on your heart, starring a monster eager to tear it out.

Still Wakes the Deep feels more like a film than a game. Its very simple gameplay sometimes obstructs and delays the well-written mysterious story that focuses on human minds. This harrowing horror shines best in moments without interaction, supported by excellent visuals and top-notch voice acting. It would work much better as a different medium.

Still Wakes the Deep tries to dig beneath the surface of Caz and his crewmates, but doesn’t go far enough. Without a sufficiently riveting story, we’re left with a horror premise that feels like it’s been done before and more questions than answers at the end of the slog.

Solid walking simulator. Great atmosphere and immersion. Probably the best voice acting in video game history—having said that, it’s more on rails than any given Amtrak train. Zero missable details and secrets to discover. If a little more freeform investigation/exploration were to be implemented, I’d give it a 9 or even a 10. But you can’t experience the beautifully woven atmosphere of dread and despair second-hand from a Youtube walkthrough so I recommend buying it—however when it’s only heavily discounted.

The atmosphere is amazing, and the story is quite alright too. The controls are pretty weird it seems like you're playing a quick time event for everything. Sometimes stuff like doors just do not open their dialogs dont appear, so you need to go into the pause and press "Restart Scene" which will reset all of your progress. It has also made me almost poo myself on multiple occasions but that probaby because I'm not great with horror games. Would still recommend to someone harder than me ha.

Es un juego con unos graficos destacables y una idea original que no se termina de exprimir. Todas las partes o en su mayoria son repetitivas y tediosas con “puzzles” obvios sin mucho que pensar. No tenes ningun momento en donde desesperarte o quedarte quieto a pensar porque literalmente hay un boton que te guia o directamente seguis derecho, salvo en algun que otra parte que tenes que volver, pero es bastante intuitivo. No tiene desarrollo narrativo extenso y no te encariñas con ningun personaje, porque nisiquiera conoces al protagonista en nada. Por favor no puede ser que en ps5 siga habiendo pantallas de carga para pasar de una seccion corta a otra y los subtitulos acumulables son insoportables. No es un mal juego pero le falta bastante amor y complejidad.

The game was alright but not in anyway special or interesting. A few parts were annoying because there was no clear solution and other parts were just boring. It was simply a days small entertainment.
