Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D
Rogue Squadron is definitely one of the shining examples of what the N64 can do. The graphics in this game will change the way you look at your N64. Great graphics, great sound, fun gameplay....what else can you ask for?
This is a title that no self-respecting N64 owner should pass up. Nintendo has created the first true N64 classic since "Mario 64."
To say that the Snowspeeder freak in me is satisfied with this game would be an enormous understatement. This is one hell of a fulfilling interactive experience that plays and plays and plays.

OMG this game used up so many hours of my summer when it released! I was totally locked in to get gold medals on all the runs and be able to unlock all the ships and secrets!

Engage TIE fighters in the cockpit of an X-Wing and bring AT-ATs to their knees in a Snow Speeder in this highly playable shoot 'em up. The graphics, sound and music do a really good job of immersing you in the Star Wars universe and the medal system keeps you coming back to try and beat your previous scores. A real fan-pleaser.

If you're a Star Wars fanatic and you own an N64, then you can't afford to be without this game. If you''re not a Star Wars fan then still buy this game because it's the most exciting, most gripping shoot-'em-up on the N64 so far.

Easily one of the best star wars games of that generation. Next to shadows of the empire on N64

An amazing Star Wars game for the N64. Makes you feel like a Rebel pilot fighting against the Empire. Complete with an incredible story worthy of a movie, good voice talent, fun game play, and all your favorite Star Wars lore, characters, planets, vehicles, and even two iconic battle missions from the movie (The Death Star Trench Run and The Battle of Hoth). For all those Star Wars nerds out there here's a game you'll love and its sequels too.

Before you run down to the store and get your copy, do yourself another favor, get the 4 meg. Ram upgrade as well. You will not regret it. The Hi-Resolution mode in this game is incredible. Awesome.

While the one-track gameplay isn't enough to challenge GoldenEye as the best movie game on the console, Rogue Squadron definitely emerges as a shining example that not all licensed games are quick attempts to get your hard-earned money.

For whatever reason, shooting down scores of TIEs never, ever gets old. [Jan 2004, p.189]

If you're looking for a solid game and you're a Star Wars fan, this game is probably perfect for you.

Rogue Squadron doesn’t quite work as well as it should. Frustrating, repetitive gameplay and eye-straining graphics hurt this title quite badly. In fact, I doubt that it would score so highly if it weren’t for the Star Wars license.

A rule of thumb will always be that a Star Wars game will either be terrible (Obi-Wan, Phantom Menace, Yoda Stories) or fantastic works of art (TIE Fghters, KoTOR 1&2, Battlefront). Rouge Squadron would definitely fall into the latter category. The gameplay in Rouge Squadron was by far the best flight simulator (in the loosest definitions) on the N64, even surpassing the famous Star Fox 64. The graphics where really superb considering the N64 was rather weak in comparison the its competitor, the Playstation, mostly due to the now out of business Factor 5's unique way of making games (which is the reason why no N64 emulator has yet been able to emulate Rouge Squadron). Bottom line, this is a superb game that requires no Star Wars familiarity to enjoy if your willing to let it in.

What an amazing game. Even for people that are not fans of star wars. This game had incredible graphics and incredibly engaging gameplay. Even today I find it hard to find many star wars games that are this good.

Played this **** in 1999, good game, fun gameplay but a lot of repeated frustration to clear levels , cause if you die, you have to start the whole level over again,, and it took this game a lot of attempts

It's a surprisingly good game! Controls are nice, and the game has a lot of replayability. It doesn't really hold up nowadays, but it was pretty cool when I first played in the early 2000s.
