StarLancer
Loses ground with an inferior scaling system and limited use of large scale structures and ships, which negatively impact its graphics and gameplay scores.
The missions themselves are typical space sim affairs that never quite innovate, but always manage to entertain nonetheless. [PC Gamer UK]
Starlancer also features some of the most believable voice acting. However, I really hated Hawkee in the later missions, she was just plain irritating.

Just beat it again, still better than anything they have made in the past 10 years. Compare it to Freespace, both of those are good 2nd being great, fairly painless to get working properly in the latest windows.

DaDakota
One of the best space sims ever made. It had a gritty earth based storyline, fantastic music, effects, and game play. One of the first games to include simultaneous multiplayer and it opened up additional missions when playing with friends. A+ effort on this one.

It offers amazing visuals, intense gameplay and a compelling story. Most games only make it with one or two of these advantages but with StarLancer you get all three.

The loadout screen is also a pleasant surprise. The pseudo-holographic rotating representation of you chosen ship gives you a good idea of how the hard points fill out.

GameSpot
An enjoyable story-driven space combat sim that should meet, but not exceed, the lofty expectations of fans of the developers' previous games.

Electric Playground
A few minor tweaks, and maybe some fan-based testing would have put this game closer to greatness, but it still manages to come together and deliver a solid game.

The parts alone don't suggest a great game, but as a whole, it works really well, and I expect to be playing Starlancer for a while longer yet, especially with the incredibly fun cooperative mode available.

Somewhat less than the sum of its parts, StarLancer just doesn’t provide anything we haven’t seen before.
