Star Wars Outlaws Gold Edition is an incredible port that delivers smooth performance in addition to a formidable level of detail and impressive ray-tracing effects. With all the game’s significant downloadable content included at a fantastic value price, this is a must-have experience for any Nintendo Switch 2 owner.

It’s a very good port, is what I’m trying to say – and not only that, it’s a very good port of a very good game. Whatever issues Star Wars Outlaws may have had last year, they’re all fixed now, which means that you get all the positives from the first version (a good protagonist, a fun story, some big open worlds), with all of the negatives pushed off to the side. If you didn’t get a chance to play the game the first time around, now is definitely the time to do so.

Star Wars Outlaws is a wild space adventure. It feels like a part of the Star Wars universe as opposed to just trying to shoehorn Star Wars into a mismatching game. If you get overloaded on big open-world games, that is still a risk here, although finishing the game isn’t dependent on getting too bogged down either. Star Wars Outlaws is another great game to show off what the Switch 2 can do when devs get the opportunity to make it work for the hardware.

As a huge Star Wars fan, this was one of the main reasons I upgraded to the Switch 2. I was excited to play it, but admittedly a little cautious given the criticism the game received when it first launched. I’m happy to say those concerns feel firmly in the past. This game is a blast. The story and performances are excellent, and it genuinely feels like you’re living through your own Star Wars film. There are plenty of nods to and beats that will excite fans, but it never leans too heavily on them, allowing the adventure to stand on its own. It also looks fantastic on Switch 2. The expansions are excellent and gives you even more reason to stay in this world a little longer. I can’t recommend it enough.

Es muy divertido incluso para personas como yo que no somos fans de la saga star wars, lo recomiendo 100%

I love Star Wars. Unfortunately, this game is boring and completely bland. The character's story didn't captivate me at all. However, the crime stories in this universe are fantastic, for example the new series about Maul

The Star Wars Outlaws port shines on Nintendo Switch 2 with technical quality that rivals other platforms, offering the appeal of being able to play anywhere, and with better results than on devices such as Steam Deck. This port raises the bar for what Nintendo Switch 2 can do, even if it is at 30 fps.

This isn't simply an assassin's creed in a Star Wars coating. Outlaws carves its own path. It can stand among the lineup of not just great Star Wars games, but third person action games in general. It may not be revolutionary but what it does, it does so incredibly well. Back when I played it last year, I was already entertaining that particular opinion but revisiting the game on Switch 2 has convinced me of this. It's a shame that Outlaws was overlooked last year, but perhaps now it is time for a reappraisal of what Star Wars Outlaws is, rather than what it could be. I am genuinely of the opinion that in ten years we'll look back at Star Wars games and go: “you know what, this Outlaws game is pretty fantastic”. Just know that you've heard it from me first.

Outlaws continues to impress even on less powerful hardware. This is the way.

Unexpectedly, especially given what was shown at the beginning, the port to Nintendo Switch 2 has turned out to be almost outstanding. Of course, the game remains the same, for better or for worse.

Star Wars: Outlaws on Nintendo Switch 2 is not just a well-executed port but a technical and symbolic statement. It proves that Nintendo’s new console can host modern AAA experiences without embarrassing compromises, standing alongside high-quality conversions like Cyberpunk 2077 and Street Fighter 6. Ubisoft delivers a benchmark release that doesn’t chase more powerful consoles but asserts the platform’s technical dignity in the competitive landscape.

Star Wars Outlaws has landed on Nintendo's Switch 2, and the results are surprisingly impressive. This port might just be the best we've seen on the platform so far.

Absolutely love this my favorite Switch 2 game and probably my favorite Star Wars game of all time. I put 60 hours in before I was even halfway through the main story. If you're a Star Wars fan, you'll love this and all its wonderful details from the original trilogy. Great levels design, incredible soundtrack, excellent voice acting, cool story, and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Speeder bike fights, space chases through asteroid fields, getting caught while sneaking around and blasting your way out; this game perfectly captures the spirit and tone of the OG trilogy. Walking around in Mos Eisley has been one of my favorite video game moments ever. Kay Vess' voice and motion capture actor (the gorgeous and talented Humberly González) is absolutely wonderful. She gives Kay personality, depth, and vulnerability as she struggles to prove herself. Kay doesn't always make the right choices and isn't all good or all bad; her self doubts and imperfections make her real, likeable, and relatable to anyone regardless of gender, race, age etc. Kay and Nix are two of my favorite Star Wars characters since the original trilogy, I really hope we see them again in another adventrue. I don't know why this game gets so much hate or why people claim it's "woke"; I don't think they understand what they're implying as there's no social agenda of any kind in Outlaws. I've also read reviews where players complain about a female protagonist, stating "I jusy prefer male characters". Thats fine I guess, but if I am going to be looking at the backside of a video game character for dozens of hours, I'd rather it be a cute woman than some dude.

the best AAA(A said Ubisoft ) star wars game, however the exploration is too much and so much better could be done in the star wars universe than just going in mountains, do parkour for 5 minutes to find a little thing to upgrade our blaster. the graphics are good, the story is good, everything is just good but nothing's very good so I recommend it on sale. The star wars universe is so big and there are so much things to do in it ,why did ubisoft don't do more star wars incredible things like assist to a big battle beetween rebels and imperials, fights TB-TTs in a mission, arrest criminals for the empire to receive bonuses, extend the reputation mechanics to more difficult things to **** developpers are massive entertainment ( the division games very good extraction-shooters) so why is the combat not incredible???

It starts off very slow, but as you level up and upgrade your ship and blaster, the game gets actually becomes pretty fun. Just takes too long to get there. The worlds are varied and fun to explore and space flight feels like classic Star Wars game space fighting. Lots to explore and it looks great, but it really lacks depth with gameplay and your crew. It is fun to just walk around and observe, the depth of this game is the worlds with lots of easter eggs for real fans. Really just a solid C game.

Seems like a lot of people were lying about how good of a port this is. For a Switch 2 title I have Switch 1 games that look and run better than this. The characters are awful as well, none of the charm or fun that the franchise was known for in the past. The open world also feels largely pointless and lifeless. It also does that thing during missions that the Battlefield 6 campaign does, creating invisible boundaries that really confine you with some countdown timer if you dare to step away from where they want you to be, which seems to totally work against the intended impact of an open world.
SummaryExperience the first-ever open world Star Wars game, set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Explore distinct planets across the galaxy, both iconic and new. Risk it all as Kay Vess, a scoundrel seeking freedom and the means to start a new life, along with her companion Nix. Fight, steal, and outwit your... Read More
