Samurai Warriors 4-II isn’t a horrible game by any means, but the game just doesn’t quite entice the gamers of today to venture through its trials.

Even if it's not a full sequel, it expands greatly for the enthusiasts of the first game. It offers dozens of gameplay hours and new features that make the game the definitive edition. Sadly, it didn't age well if we talk about graphics.

Samurai Warriors 4-II is an excellent addition to the Warriors franchise, but could have done with a bit more change to differentiate itself from its predecessor.

This Game is pretty good. Nothing you would call home to your mom about but it is a good solid game. This isn't the type of game you would want to spend hours on end playing unless you are trying to get the platinum, but it is the type of game you would throw on with a friend and have some mindless fun. I rate this a 6.5 (I'll round it up to 7), which isn't a bad rating, its just that the combat can get pretty repetitive and the item system feels a bit pointless after a bit, but this isn't a huge problem because its not a game you would want to waste an entire day playing. Overall this is the type of game you dont want to spend your whole paycheck on, but if you have a little money on the side, go for it.

It's an okay game. Story isn't anything noteworthy, and the gameplay is somewhat mindless and repetitive, but you know what? That's part of what makes this game fun. You don't have to think about everything that's going on. Just jump in and slice up as many armies as you want with your favorite character. A good game to relax to, but not a good game if you expect a, well, good game.

Samurai Warriors 4-II is a fantastic Japanese import, reworked and published by Koei. The game was released in America for the PS4 in 2015. It takes the player directly to the battlefields of ancient Japan. The graphics are the best possible, given the amount of soldiers on the immense battlefields. The game really shines in campaign (story) mode. The player will take command of legendary Japanese samurai. Each mission in campaign mode reveals these samurai's motivations for taking to the battlefield. There is an endless stream of enemy soldiers as you strive to eliminate the enemy officers. Samurai Warriors 4-II provides the player with unlockable, unique, fantastical: weapons, mounts, attacks, and abilities. A single player can control up to 2 legendary samurai during each mission. After defeating a campaign the game unlocks even more to play. This results in hours upon hours of battles. There are also survival modes and co-op play. One of the survival mode occurring in a gigantic castle. With each floor steadily increasing the difficulty. If you want a fun, historical game, try the Samurai Warriors 4-II for PS4.

However, the real strength in this one is the way the various fascinating stories of fascinating heroes is retold, and as a result of that Samurai Warriors 4-II is one of the best games in the series for some time.

Even though the game doesn’t look any better from the previous instalment, Samurai Warriors 4-II’s gameplay is as fun as ever and the story is definitely worth your time.

This game kicks so much booty. I switched over from DW to SW when DW got bland, and this game is the spiciest of meatballs. Every Musou is beautiful, every rage is beautiful, every rage musou is beautiful, every character is beautiful, every single one. The gameplay is faster than ever in the best possible way. I put over 40 hours into this game. Beyond satisfied.

Quite a disappointing revision of the game that lost its story mode on behalf of a few more hours of gameplay. It may not be attractive because of that, although it deserves an opportunity.

Samurai Warriors 4-II, as a remake of a title released just a year ago, for the few new contents introduced, is disappointing. Considering it as musou, however, is fun despite the repetitive gameplay.

For owners of the original release, a fifteen to twenty dollar DLC expansion option would have gone a long way to selling this, but it’s a worthy purchase for everybody else.

Samurai Warriors 4-11 bases itself on one of the best possible Warriors games, and therefore its core gameplay is of undeniable quality. It’s a great game by all accounts. However, most of what makes it great was sold to us a year ago, so while there’s still a ton of fun to be had, I am not going to be singing its praises a second time.

As repetitive as Musou games can be, this one is even worse because of its lack of relevant new features.

I honestly haven't played every Samurai Warriors episodes, but this edition is easily one of the best Musou (Dynasty Warriors-like) i ever played. The gameplay is nice and very addictive despite the repetitiveness due to the genre, the musics and Japanese feudal style (Sengoku era) are awesome and if the graphics are not amazing, the framerate runs at a smooth 60 fps with no tearing on PS4, even with hundreds of ennemis on screen. If you wanna kick thousand of asses while leveling up cool characters with variety of weapons and cool abilities, take a look at this game. What's new compared to Samurai Warriors 4 ? - There is a new character added to the 55 already available (yeah, just one, but a really nice one) - A brand new story mode more focused on characters - The Chronicle mode has been replaced by a cool Endless Castle mode, including Survival and Challenge modes - You can merged mounts and weapons to create better ones - New experience grid system to increase your attributes - A full character creation mode, from A to Z - On-line coop for all modes - Few other improvements like IA, visual effects...

SummaryNaomasa Ii appears as a playable character for the first time, and the various personalities of the age are explored in more depth in Story Mode, which is now focused on individual characters.
