Fans of frantic action and beat 'em up style fighting will be overawed by how intense Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is.

Even with a few improvements such as additional weapons and more challenging enemies, the Wii U edition of Ninja Gaiden 3 still falls short. Questionable level design, a confusing storyline and strangely balanced difficulty levels are all examples of things that is wrong with this game. With that said, it's better than the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions and can be pretty fun at times.

A failure to inspire.

Better than Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 but the game is basically just a mindless hack and slash. Just a brawl game where exploration is only going to another room for more enemies to brawl against. The ai was pretty **** too. And it somewhat felt like Dark Souls 2 where there is just mindless mobs of enemies that bunch up everywhere. The player mechanics were wosrse than the last game. And there is a bit too much emphasis on being "cool" in Ninja Gaiden 3 such as skydive jumps that it just makes the overall game feel way cringier than it already was. The story was meh, rather spend time on better games. There was also weird graphical glitches in this game

This game had potential but it basically blew it, the combat is either super hard or super easy and not fluid like its predecessors. The story is ridiculous and boring. The boss battles are tedious and don't rely on the old Ninja Gaiden system but rather something that is new and not so improved. Overall its the weakest of the all the console Ninja Gaiden games but some sequences are still fun and addictive which brings the final grade to something average.

An incredibly flashy game with a deep and addictive combat system! Ryu really gets to strut his stuff in this action packed outing! And if you happen to be a fan of some of the beautiful and deadly kunoichi that join him on the roster this time around? You're in for a special treat! The original Ninja Gaiden 3 may be nothing to write home about, but Razor's Edge is a bloody good time, and nothing short of a redemption arc - turning what was once one the Ultimate Ninja's most lackluster titles into one of his most exciting!

This is what Ninja Gaiden 3 should have been when it was first released. Tecmo and Team Ninja have listened to their fans and offered a great game, but it's still far from perfect. If you're going to play the game, make sure you play this version.

It's great. It's the best game I've ever seen. The picture is exquisite, the movement is smooth, and the design is exquisite.

Awesom. Hack n' Slash game with a lot of things to do and a very refined combat system.

Team Ninja has tried to minimize the flaws of Ninja Gaiden 3 with a much better porting on the Wii U, though the structural limits of the original game have remained almost intact.

Razor's Edge is a better game than the original Ninja Gaiden 3 and a worthy option for Wii U users.

At the end of the day if you are a fan of the Ninja Gaiden franchise and were let down with Ninja Gaiden 3 on Xbox 360 or PS3, give Team Ninja another chance, especially if you are looking for a fairly enjoyable action oriented launch title for your new Wii U.

Razor's Edge has its moments, but they are so few and always the same way that never impresses and exceeds the level of mere satisfaction.

Ninja Gaiden: Razor's Edge still remains the weakest title in the Ninja Gaiden trilogy, but additions like the Ayane missions and balancing tweaks make the game a decent, gloriously gory action title...The weak story, repeat enemies, and frame-rate issues still hold the bloody title back from the greatness of its prestigious pedigree.

Fun game to play, i just wish there were more weapons and upgrades available, UT's could be a bit better.. and oh how i miss the flails and tonfa's. But at least rocket spamming nubs are easy to take out and less of them which is a definite improvement. Now they just need to release a Ninja gaiden ultimate for all consoles and PC with all NG's, weapons, ninpos, characters and extras.... >_>

Certainly an improvement over the previous versions, however the game is not without its fair share of flaws. Like most games in the series, Razor's Edge is very challenging, and the improved AI certainly adds to this with intense combat situations that will punish you severely for even the slightest error. However, several points in the game seem to derive their challenge more from poor design choices and cheap tricks rather than genuine difficulty. However, despite these short comings, NG3 RE is a good choice for people looking for a challenging game on the WiiU or any system on the current market.

Not quite the return to form I would hope to see, but a staggering improvement nonetheless. Combat is fast, tense, and unforgiving. You're provided with a wide variety of weapons and abilities to spice up the experience, and the constant slew of new and ever more threatening enemies keeps you on your toes. Boss fights were a bit of a mixed bag, but the ones that I enjoyed were quite thrilling. The amount of content in the game leaves little room for disappointment. The only issues I have with the game are that the camera can at times be somewhat uncooperative, and the designs of the levels are a bit too straight-forward.

SummaryNINJA GAIDEN 3: Razor's Edge promises to be a leaner, tighter experience than the original game. Significantly reduced scripted sequences, streamlined game flow, and improved A.I. complement an array of new features exclusive to the Wii U console.
