An amazing mix of fighting, puzzle-solving, and platform style action and adventure. The only PlayStation titles that come even remotely close to being this immersive and enjoyable in my experience is the "Resident Evil" family, but even they lack the sheer depth and playability of Raziel's quest.

With drop dead graphics, haunting sound effects and non stop action it will leave you in a similar state last experienced with the original "Tomb Raider."

Un monument absolu du jeu d'action-aventure et un chef-d'œuvre de la PlayStation original ! L'histoire tragique de Raziel, la quête de vengeance contre Kain et l'univers gothique poignant de Nosgoth restent gravés à jamais dans la mémoire des joueurs.
La mécanique d'alternance entre le royaume matériel et le royaume spectral était une prouesse technique révolutionnaire pour l'époque. Porté par des doublages cultes d'une qualité théâtrale et une direction artistique somptueuse, c'est une œuvre intemporelle à la poésie sombre inoubliable !

El juego de mi infancia. Con este juego descubrí que los videojuegos eran más que plataformas, saltos y golpes, que en ellos también se daban historias de venganza, redención, búsqueda a lo incomprensible, etc.

Raziel is tremendously well animated and his surroundings are epic. In fact, the whole feel of Soul Reaver is epic, more than just a third-person adventure, but a whole tale of jealousy, betrayal and revenge.

One of the best games I've ever played. Everything about this game is top notch (except the ending): the story, voice acting, graphics, control and even the camera is excellent.

If there is one fault with Soul Reaver it has to be some of the platform jumping required in the game. Not since the long ago days of my Atari 2600, have I been frustrated enough with a game to fling my controller across the room as I did while playing Soul Reaver.

The horrible ending to this game has ruined what looked to be a good contender for the best Playstation game of the year. All the potential is there, but Eidos and Crystal Dynamics simply released an unfinished product.

As with many PSone titles it struggles to hold up today but even at the time I found this a difficult game to get into. It had it moments but I seemed to spend most of the time unable to work out where to go.

I tried, i love the lore and story of this game, the characters, how the bosses looks, the music is amazing, love what they try to do with the gameplay and combat BUT this game is borderline unplayable. The framerate, controls and camera are atrocious. The camera & controls prevent me from have any fun with this game. **** exist that NEEDS a remake is this.
