While Moss is a short adventure, it's one filled with awe and wonder. The storytelling is superb with brilliant writing and a great atmosphere. The gameplay while basic is so much fun that you will never want to stop playing this game. If you have a PlayStation VR you need to pick up this game, Moss is a masterpiece that is going to go down in the history books for the first game of this genre to work and play well in VR.

Moss is one of the most fun and imaginative games available for the PlayStation VR. Even the VR design, which plays with distance and depth of field, is really cool. Although the story was mostly lacking, the world building is fantastic and real, the puzzles offer enough challenge for this age-friendly game, and above all, you’ll be enchanted by Quill and want to hug her and be her best friend forever and ever.

Moss bridges the gap between traditional games and virtual reality experiences. It’s an adventure game brimming with charm, crafty puzzles, and a fully realized fairy tale world that makes you feel as if you are really there. Moss is proof that virtual reality games can redefine well-known genres.

In spite of a reduced enemy pool which gives the incentive to kill the same foe over and over, and regardless of its short story, Moss is one of the best PlayStation VR games out there. The camera is used with skill and helps create a strong link between Quill and the player.

Going on an adventure with Quill in Virtual Reality is an utter joy. The game looks absolutely gorgeous and radiates a magical atmosphere throughout the entire experience. Unfortunately, it is also rather short considering it's fairly steep price tag but that shouldn't prevent you from having a blast while it lasts. Recommended.

Moss is easily one of PlayStation VR's best titles to date, even if it's a little too eager to get you in and out of its world.

Moss is sublime throughout, but it’s so good that you’ll wish there was more of it. Much more of it. Clocking in at just a few hours, the game feels like the prologue for a much bigger adventure, and it’ll leave you yearning for more. As a virtual reality experience, only minor technological limitations detract from its lush fantasy world and cunning use of the medium. There's no doubt that Polyarc's built the foundations for something truly special here; it now needs to write a few more chapters in Quill’s tale.

Fantastic video game! Super fun as exciting and, above all, fascinating. Kudos to the developers for hunting this pearl in an increasingly barren market. Well done!

The story and the world building are really great. The world is unique and beautiful.

The settings are indeed beautiful and there is a nice fairy tale atmosphere to the game. I also liked the protagonist Quill and how you, as The Reader, who is watching over her from the sidelines, can help her by manipulating certain pieces of the decor. But that about covers the positive aspects of this game. Moss is just way too short, even considering that this is just Book 1. The first playthrough took me around two and a half to three hours and this is with also having gathered all the collectibles that serve no other purpose than trophies. Once you have the trophies, the collectibles are essentially useless. After having beaten the boss, I had to do another playthrough for the no death run trophy. I could ignore the useless collectibles and because the simple puzzles offered no more challenge, I was able to reach the boss in just under an hour. Call me crazy, but that is just too short for a price tag of 29,99 euros. Luckily I was able to buy Moss in the PS Store for a discount price of 17,99 or I would have seriously felt ripped off. There is also not enough variation in the enemies. They are mechanical beetles of which there are maybe 4 different types. More could possibly have been done here, but I could live with it. In conclusion: Moss is worth a try, but in the end the experience is too basic. Don't pay full price unless you have money to burn.

I unfortunately cannot give a full 10 to this game even tough i want to because it's a wonderfull one but lacks on 2 vital points first one would be longevity. i beat the game within around 6 hours, finding most collectibles in the game on the first run, for a pro gamer it could be done withing 4 hours on first attempt, for the price i would expect a solid 10 hours of gameplay. VR needs content to take off and moss could be the kind of game that makes people take the dive second one would be the lack of diversity wich could be related to the length of the game. 3 different kind of monsters is way too little and gives close to no challenge as for the soundtrack, the graphic and the story. SOLID 10, if the second part fixes the shortcomings i mentionned, Moss will be a perfect game
