I think this is just like marmite, you'll either hate it or love it. Yes, it's just a short walking sim (about 1hr) but a very good one at that. Good graphics and sound lend to this immersive experience that"s hard to describe. If you're into exploring vast spaces in isolation, you'll probably enjoy this. If you're only looking for action, you might want to give this a miss.

Disclaimer: I postponed playing this until after the 1st patch. I'm about 11hrs into the game and almost completed it. Based on my experience, I highly recommend it to those who are into puzzle adventure games like Red Matter games. Wanderer is closer to the classic point and click adventure games of the 90s where you have to use certain items at certain places. The time travel element reminded me a lot of the game Days of the tentacle. My main gripe however was the user interface, which drastically improves each time you update your pocket watch, which in turn begs the question why it wasn't implemented from the start. When I upgrade an item, I expect to be rewarded with a new ability and not with a 'quality of life' feature. Graphics: 9/10 - v good but sometimes let down by low quality texture Sound/Music 9/10 - excellent but your own footstep sound is a little too loud and not well synced Gameplay 9/10 - VR needs more games like this and less shovelware that's being marketed for kids who don't know any better. Some puzzles are hard and it's unlikely you'll get through it all without checking a walkthrough. Your pocket watch has a hint function but it's not always obvious what to do next. The combat is bad in general, not sure if it adds any value, AI is awful but they will patch this soon, but in all honestly, most combat in VR games generally ****. Experience 10/10. I gave it a 10 instead of a 9 to increase avg score here. This is one of the best games on PSVR2 (I own a lot of the games in VR library) and score should reflect that.

This is a very difficult game to rate because some will think it a masterpiece, others a bore. My first impressions were very positive, I loved the immersion and humour. The controls are out of this world; fairly steep learning curve but once you get it, it's v rewarding. After playing the first 2-3 levels, I would have easily scored this a 10, but as I progressed, I found the missions very tedious. To illustrate my point, a lot of missions involve locking into crates and bringing them back to your loading bay. It's so so satisfying when you begin to master the controls and start bringing back 2 or 3 crates to your loading bay, which takes a lot of time unless you become an expert. My willingness to continue playing ended quickly when in next level I'm asked to do the same for several more crates. I still recommend you get this game as it's relatively cheap as I'm confident you'll love the immersion and initial experience. Some of you might even love it if you're into perfecting flight controls. However, given the excellent game mechanics, I feel more could be done with the game. However, it's still one of the few VR games return to when I want to fly in space and chill to nice music

I don't envy anyone rating this game as I suspect opinions will be polar opposites. If you're interested in graphics and immersions, then this is the 1st game you'll want to show off to friends. If you're looking for gameplay with purpose other than collecting random items, then this game isn't for you. Pros: graphics, immersion, sound, control Cons: short (4-5 hrs to unlock everything), can get frustrating finding items, particularly in the 3rd map, no replay value other than wanting to play for 5-10 mins here and there. If they release a DLC, I'd be the 1st to buy it.

I've only played it for an hour so far and will edit my review/score once finished, but from experience, i dont expect it to change by much Graphics are good and crisp, but environment has been largely monotonous so far, and gameplay somewhat repetitive. I'd probably end up moaning if it doesn't vary. Combat/melee is ok, nothing to rave about but not nothing to complain about either. Weapons and grapple hook are intuitive to use and well designed. It does everything well, not amazing, but I gave it a good score because my experience with the gameplay so far makes me want to go back and play some more. Edit: finished the game and my score hasn't changed, however it was more likely to drop than improve because of a couple of bugs while fighting behemoth that frustrated me. Also, I found the graphics/immersion lacking somewhat due to sterile and monotonous environments. They made an effort to vary it a bit here and there but it got tiring quickly. I was particularly annoyed because the final scene which was the epilogue was gorgeous; I get that they had to make the world desolate looking but could have made more effort varying it up and adding more colours here and there. Overall, it's a recommend from me because it's good enough for you to want to finish it.

If you like platformers and are tired of horror VR games, then I highly highly recommend this game. Pros: Colourful, fun, good replay value, innovative levels. The game is short (~4hrs) but any more would have overstayed its welcome. Cons: Simple graphics. Camera can be stubborn at times, but rarely impacts gameplay. Game should have inlcuded 2 or 3 very difficult bonus levels like Mario Odysee did. Most will find it quite easy to complete, but I wouldn't say it doesn't have its challenges here and there.

I really really really wanted to love this game because I’m really into this blade runner-esque backdrop and atmosphere. if you’re looking just for art and graphics, then you’ll probably enjoy this. For me at least, it felt lacking. Even if you love interactive story games, you’ll end up wanting more out of this game. Story is a bit convoluted and hard to follow; and like a reviewer wrote, there isn’t much to do other than click a few buttons here and there and repeat again at the next crime scene… it got dull quickly, and all the while I was playing, I was rooting for the game to get better and surprise me…. By the time the ending credits roll, I was left disappointed. Still, good attempt from a small studio.

If you're into puzzles and post apocalyoptic environments, this is for you. Best game on Switch for me and its an old game. Says a lot. And yes, better than Zelda games which only masochists who are into grind would enjoy.

Really surprised as I wasnt impressed watching the gameplay on YouTube, however it's an entirely different experience with the headset. Gorgeous graphics, excellent narration, and a welcome change from the horror/zombie games that litter the PS store. I'd love to see developers experiment more with this genre of VR; for example Prince ofPersia or adventures like Monkey Island would look amazing in this type of VR.

I dont care much for Star Wars (both old and new movies), yet I found this to be a very underrated game despite me not caring about the characters and story. Real score would have been a 9, but I gave it an extra point in my attempt to slightly offset a 0 score given out by a cry baby because **** - boohoo (fyi, I've come across zero glitches). The good: 1) Graphics not the best but good enough to immerse you in that world. 2) Sound/music very well produced. 3) Fun gameplay that makes u want to go back. 4) Controls/accessories/upgrades are well thought out. The bad: 1) repetitive gameplay at the start, which can put people off, but after an hour or two, it gets much better. 2) Fairly dumb enemy AI, 3) Teleporting is needed to climb or descend large steps, which reduces immersion; if only you could hover around smoothly like in Red Matter 2 (u can hover but movement is limited even with upgrade) At full price, it's worth considering. At sale price, it's a steal.

Have to agree with a lot of reviews here. Flat and monotonous experience with mediocre graphics that are representative of Quest 2 experience. I haven't finished the game yet but played enough to come to the conclusion that it won't get any better, but not so bad that I dont want to complete it.

To give this score more weight to the reader, I love The Expanse series and i’m a huge fan of Telltale games, many of which I own. I was devastated when I read that they ran into financial problems and closed down before thankfully re-emerging again. Being a fanboy of both, I would be insincere to allow my bias influence my score. The good: music, voice overs, graphics acceptable The bad: no atmosphere (no pun intended), awful gameplay: incomparable with Detroit Become a Human or Until Dawn. It felt like this should have been ported to android or iOS and played on a tablet. Most decision were inconsequential and story was average at best. Simply not a good game and was looking fwd to finishing it so that I can remove it from my storage, even if it’s only 8gb. I stupidly paid for the DLC before playing the main game. Archangel looked promising in the first few minutes but turned out garbage like the main game. If this review doesn’t convince you to stay away, then fine, but pls buy it on a big discount.

I dont care for Spider man as a comic character, but still thought this game was a masterpiece. Apart from the first fighting scene, the game starts off slowly and you'll aso have to endure some woke themes. The story evolves from there, and so does your ability to navigate and fight. It becomes increasingly hard to put down your controller the more you play. I was v impressed with how much they crammed into this game, and switching gameplay to ensure it's never monotonous. Hats off to Insomniac, this was one of the best games I've ever played, and I started gaming in the 80s.

Short but sweet. I would have given it a 10 had I not played Red Matter 2 first. While its not as good as its successor, it was nonetheless an incredible VR experience owed to excellent graphics, music, immersion, and puzzles. I would be the first to buy Red Matter 3 if it ever comes out.

Really really really dumb reviews from users here; for once I learnt more from professional critics. Regardless of story, which was great btw, it doesnt take away from what is more or less a masterpiece: sound, music, graphics, immersive world are crazy good. AI is v decent as well compared to most games. If you really disliked the story for whatever reason and then give it a 0, it shows your level of maturity. All I can say to those ppl is to grow up, and next time dont buy LOU3, if its made, but my guess is you'll buy and play it because you know v well that these masterpieces are few and far between. Also, I can see myself play this again in a few yrs... just wow

As far as interactive stories are concerned, this is as good as it gets. If you’re not into this genre of gaming, you probably won’t like it but to give it less than 10 for what it set out to achieve would be a crime in itself

Pretty graphics/animation, however game mechanics a little clunky and I simply wasnt captivated enough to continue playing after a little over 2 hours.... it quickly gets dull, and repetitive. Boss fights are very long and hard with no obvious fighting pattern to learn from. So you'll find yourself dying quite a lot and you'll start right from cutscene before start of the fight, which will make u want to cry. I take umbrage to a lot of good reviews here, I question if most actually played more than 30mins of the game. Please watch walkthrough footage from experienced players at this game and you'll see how they **** through each boss fight (even early ones) by the skin of their teeth. I normally finish every game I start, even ones I don't enjoy much, so I pushed through this hoping it would get better, but it simply didn't for me. Note: I played this soon after finishing Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart so the contrast in game quality is incomparable, yet user score for each is similar. This tells you everything you need to know about how illogical scores are here.

Disclaimer: I haven't finished the game yet, so this rating is based on what I've witnessed so far which are: 1) Gorgeous graphics and settings. Admittedly the graphics card is not pushed to its limits as say in Call of the Mountain, but that meant animators could focus on perfecting the confined settings you play in. 2) Movement and controls are very cleverly designed. Although ducking is a little odd 3) Puzzles are clever If you like a solo type adventure, then I highly recommend this game. If however you're into fast paced games including meeting characters, then you might be disappointed by this. Finished game: one of the best gaming experiences I've had. It's slow paced game with beautiful immersive graphics and puzzles to solve along ur journey, maybe not for everyone but for me it was a masterpiece.

It gets 10 for the experience alone. It's true that's its mostly climbing, but you'll find visuals and atmosphere immersive and breathtaking at times. It's sad to see many score this game a 0; their comments on top are just pathetic, more so because its clear so much excellent work has gone into making this game

Masterpiece Story, animation (at that time), and music made this unforgettable experience. I've completed it maybe 5 times, so I wish it was more forgettable so that I can enjoy it as much as I did the first time. Granted that some puzzles are bordering illogical, it still shouldn't take away from the experience. If you get stuck, just read a walkthrough.

Would have been better if they spoke a number of real languages based on what a list of selections in settings - On top of the annoying voice audio, dialogue in general was dull that I wanted to skip through as fast as possible. In most cases, there was no value in striking conversations and you quickly regret it as you press buttons to speed it up - For $20-25 or under, it's highly worth it, but any higher, its hard to justify

Visually stunning, fun gameplay, and great boss fights. I finally have a game that squeezes a lot out of next gen tech. Very frustrated by poor reviews. The game is short but it’s arguably one of the best games I’ve ever played and I’ve been gaming since the early 80s. Lots of love was put into this game, gameplay is mixed which they tried to keep fresh by introducing new mechanisms and weapons.

The good: stunning colours, graphics, and sound. Despite the fact that I couldn't follow the storyline, I respected the epic tale and adventure. Maybe I'm not into mythology enough to care or get captivated by the story. The bad: While I admit the combat requires some intelligence based on enemy attack patterns, it gets tiring and repetitive...even my hand started to cramp at times. I dropped down a level because I found no reward in epic fights after which I wanted to dunk my hand in a bucket of ice. I then went down to the lowest level and that's when I started enjoying the game more. If you can bare the repetitive nature of fights, then you'll love this game... but not for me.

Many like me struggled to enjoy the first few hours (example: low stamina to climb walls or slipping druing rain, no proper cloithing to endure the cold, having to get used to weapons breaking). Soon after however, you really begin to enjoy and discover the open world and appreciate the effort developers put into this. BUT, eventually it begins to feel like a chore and you start to burn out. It becomes tiring to search for temples, tiring to collect additional heart and stamina containers, or increase inventory space, or replace weapons, or changing armour for weather or enemy type, or upgrading clothes or weapons. I found myself collecting all these for the sake of doing it, not for the fun of it. I would have rated this game a 6 for the first 3 hours, and then a 10 for the next 20 hours, and eventually settle at 8 overall for what should be called Zelda Chores in the Wild. Would be great to have voice overs instead of reading what felt like impossibly dry senseless dialogue accompanied by bizarre grunting noises. I had to lower the TV volume for fear my neighbours thinkinbg I'm watching porn (no joke).

Despire combat feeling repetitive at times and AI not being the best, it's difficult to give this game a score lower than 10. It's simply a masterpiece that Rockstar clearly went all out on. Story, score, graphics, and the variety of things to do makes this game an unforgettanle experience.
