The A.I. of the genome soldiers has been drastically improved—they're able to hear and see you much better, even from above and below. If Snake is detected, they'll coordinate their searches and look in every room—and when it comes to looking under nondescript orange boxes, they're total jerks.

There's not much here to renew interest for old fans (save the most dedicated), but for everyone else prepare to be amazed - Solid Snake is back!

This game is a literal dog turd. The devs had zero idea what they were doing and butchered one of the greatest games of all time.

This was my first Metal Gear game and I loved it I know it’s an unpopular opinion but I honestly think it’s the best in the series. Yeah it has some over the top cutscenes and minor flaws but I have so much nostalgia for it The bosses are all great especially the Sniper Wolf fight the locations are awesome all the characters are really well done the soundtrack is amazing and the comedy is perfect Honestly it’s just a peak experience

Everyone who is talking bad about the game was influenced by youtubers that talking bad about it in 2015 and little later. I by myself Saw a rise up in that after silicon knights got destroyed by epic games in 13-15. Maybe to destroy any reputation for them to make sure they will not come back let me make it clear.. NOBODY I KNOW WAS TALKING BAD ABOUT THE GAME BACK WHEN IT WAS RELASED ON GAMECUBE!! Nobody. people where happy people really loved the mgs 2 gameplay my whole circle of friends loved the game and everybody I met and knew and even my best friends wished they had it on ps 2 (I had a gamecube) Again every youtuber that is talking bad things about the game was influenced by another youtuber that was talking the same **** this game was so good it was never on ps 2 and I bet if that game was on ps 2 nobody would talk all that **** about it and it would be considered a "ps 2 classic" same with mgs 2 and 3 they are classic all Time games yeah and sadly it only came out for Gamecube but yeah I grew up with the original And I say when I mean Twin Snakes ist the original vision that Kojima wanted to make because of the more powerful hardware. Just look at all his games all I see in this game is also in mgs 2 mgs 3 and mgs 4 all those over the top scenes are litteraly in every game so why do people hate on that most of you people need to but back the nostalgia glasses your opinions are influenced by youtubers and idiots!! 10/10 Remake better than Original and i will Die on this Hill.

The best game on GameCube by far and one of the best games ever, in my opinion. It's a must-own for any action game fan. [Grade = A+]

Combining the storyline of the original, with the smoother, more entertaining gameplay of MGS2, Twin Snakes should be an early contender for best game of the year on the GameCube, and gamers new and old should enjoy it thoroughly.

The new gameplay additions, the graphic upgrade, the incredible cut scenes and the general feel of the game make it a worthwhile purchase, even if it isn’t a true remake. It’s rather short and lack in replay value, but it is easily one of the best games on the Cube to date.

It's too bad that The Twin Snakes isn't the perfect update of MGS it could have been, but this game is still packed with quality, providing a great experience to MGS rookes and Fox Hound veterans alike. [Mar 2004, p.54]

As for those of you who cherished the original game? This is the best pair of rose-tinted spectacles money can buy, and a good alternative to the anti-climax of seeing how a once-cherished favourite has aged.

I hate to say it, but this latest Metal Gear Solid isn’t just painful to play in a stealth-action sort of way, it’s painful to play in a bad game sort of way.

Metal Gear is unmatched. Hideo Kojima is god, and I'm so glad this series is coming back! Long live Metal Gear!

An early instalment of he groundbreaking stealth game that has its own unique style and attractive design but compared to modern equivalents, the controls are horribly unintuitive and the amount of time you spend in combat with enemies you can't actually see is unbelievably frustrating. Worth a look to the nostalgic but the gameplay mechanics and dialogue seem very clunky by today's standards.
