It was prologue to V. Great game but rather demo than game. But still it was great

**Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes** is essentially a prologue to *The Phantom Pain* and does its job really well. The game got me hyped and fully invested in the story, making me want to jump straight into the next installment to see what happens next. It’s short but effective—leaves you on edge and impatient to play the full game.

Super short but it leads to metal gear solid V so tbh cant be really mad about it

This game is amazing; it's short but it still has great storytelling. The first mission is a full on chef's kiss. It even has one of the most memorable lines in the Metal Gear series: "THEY PLAYED US LIKE A DAMN FIDDLE." Even the side ops are good; they just feel wholesome and like actual missions. All in all, this is a great game but could've been longer.

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes is a demo masquerading as a full-priced release. The fact that they charged money for this, let alone a full 60-dollar price tag, is one of the most despicable things ever associated directly with Hideo Kojima's brand.

This prologue to "The Phantom Pain" is more of a demo than a game. It only lasts about two hours. After you finish it, you will unlock additional missions. Graphically, "Ground Zeroes" looks great and its open structure recalls "Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory". It's a fun MGS experience. Originally, Konami put a $30 price tag on this. That was fifteen dollars too much. Still, I'd rate this with an 8 out of 10.

The credit of this game is longer than the game itself what a joke, dont get fooled

It's a prologue cut out and turned into a game demo. It's fun but it just **** that this isn't in the game.

This game is the best scam of all time. It does everything nearly perfectly, but ended up being a 40-minute experience. At least it's bundled in with the Phantom Pain nowadays

Now in 2024 you can find this game dirt cheap so you can overlook the fact its a glorified demo. With the price aside you can see that this game (for what it is) is actually really good. A fantastic tease of whats to come in TPP The 1 main level you get is fantastic with a nice bit of story and some fantastic cutscenes and soundtrack to go with. The other levels (VR missions really) are also a nice bit of extra ganeplay allowing you to fully experience the map and the fox engine's in depth gameplay systems. For what it is the game is great. If only it was like £5 at launch

It's a very good 1h demo of what the main game will be. But that is the main issue, its only 1h. I find this type of promotional marketing unbearable and unnecessary. Why not add this to the main game? So silly.

Este juego no debió costar $30 como costó en su día, aun asi me costó 20 y apenas se me hace un precio justo, pq esto es sin no es una demo, es simplemente el inició de phantom pain y muy buena demostración de lo que se venía, buena introducción del control que hasta ahorita se me hace una maravilla, y el cliffhanger de la historia me gustó mucho.

Weird controls which you have to learn all by yourself, the tutorials are next to non-existent. And the story, it's my first MGS game and they try to bring me up to speed with scrolling texts, can you believe it? Edit: turns out, you really shouldn't play this before MGS V: Phantom Pain. All the tutorials that are missing are all introduced in PP. Don't get Ground Zeroes, it's nonsensical and tedious. I don't understand why the developers nudge you into playing GZ before PP by saying GZ is the prologue to PP. GZ is just a half-baked unpolished piece of sht.

90 min game XD. Only one mission game. I checked every building in this game and took that much time.

A vision of the future of what awaits us with The Phantom Pain, the Deja Vu mission is exceptional for a fan of the serie. I don't like judging games by their price but this is a $30 intro, that's too much. The promise made with the story (with the help of the trailers) made me hope for a story without concession for The Phantom Pain.

Впервые наблюдаю что бы в играх кто то касался таких жестких тем, как тюрьмы вне юрисдикций и законов, на подобие Гуантанамо, пыток, причем пыток детей, главная история развивается внутри игры, через аудио дневники, поставленные так что веришь их участникам, очень атмосферно и жестко, но что бы их собрать нужно как минимум пройти все задания да еще и знать условия получения некоторых кассет или их местонахождение, и подозреваю многие до этой части игры не добрались. А ведь там весьма жесткая и тяжелая история падения и предательства разворачивается, где главные герои дети. Не простая тема взята. Геймплейно играется вполне интересно и вариативно. Прошел с интересом. 8 из 10.

No tiene nada positivo que se haya vendido como un producto aparte de TPP, fue solamente una estrategia sucia para sacar un poco más de dinero. La experiencia que brinda es agradable, pero nada más. Solo unas cuantas misiones, skins diferentes para Big Boss y records personales en cada misión. Si hubiera venido incluido con TPP desde un comienzo sería una historia totalmente diferente, pero por si solo no brilla tanto como lo podría haber hecho, una pena la verdad. Pero igualmente fue una agradable muestra del evolucionado sistema de los Metal Gear, el cual sinceramente deja con ganas de mucho más y de ver que es lo que TPP ofrece.

Sadly this game was not really worth what they were selling it at. Even though this is true I really adore games that take less than 12 hours to finish that I can play over and over again. I had a lot of fun with what little it has.

It's hard to justify this given the price tag. However, it shows the potential future for the MGS franchise.

Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes (2/10 Discount Hitman): Ground Zeroes is an extremely short prequel to Metal Gear Solid 5. While the actual gameplay is fine, everything else is extremely lacking. The entire game consists of one level with multiple selectable mission objectives. The primary story mission involves rescuing two targets from confinement and extracting them via helicopter. The game also includes a long ending cutscene that does not convey an understandable narrative but does provide entertaining and bombastic ridiculousness. My most memorable moment with Ground Zeroes has to be escaping an explosion only to be exploded.

No es mal juego, el problema es que es practicamente una demo de pago.... Lo he jugado y me lo he pasado en poco tiempo, el juego esta bien, pero se merece solo un 5 por la escasez de contenido...

Ein kurzes Spiel, was schon zeigt, dass das Open World Konzept in MGS nur mittelmäßig funktioniert. Das Gameplay ist jedoch ganz nett (6/10).

This is a playable teaser even before teasers were a thing, story wise a prequel to the Phantom Pain, and solid, FINISHED content.

The perfect stealth experience. The Phantom Pain being a awful makes this game every bit better. the open world doesnt work, while ground zeroes created the perfect formula for a mission in a stealth game.

A Fun little sandbox . I am going to say for 100 Danish Crowns this is of good value If you played more times than just one. If we just talked about the main mission with story then no it's not worth it But if you play it like in a Acade game when you try to get better and better scores on it and try to complete it them all on the highest difficulty then it's worth it. This is first and forward and playable teaser for the Phantom Pain and I'm looking forward to playing it

As short as it was, loved all it had to offer. And the bigger story comes in Phantom Pain and you realize why it was better to separate the two.

This is a divisive game. On one hand it is 10/10 content with really good game play but on the other hand is is really short and more like a demo you have to pay for. You can finish it probably in under an hour and I have seen videos done it in 10 minutes. There is of cause the argument that you can do other stuff or that it has replay value. For me while it is not wrong is a lame excuse for lack of content. It was created as prologue to Meal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain. It is the typical good stealth action game that you expect from a Metal Gear Solid title. The presentation is excellent and graphics and sound are also really good. It must make a warning however there is some content here that is unsavory and can make you feel ill. It would not be added if this was made today. Overall an excellent demo but not worth this much money. Play The Phantom Pain instead. I give 5/10 because of the lack of content and would have given 9-10/10 if it had a satisfying amount of it.

Un ´juego´ que deja mucho a deber por el simple hecho de quitar el prologo de The Phantom Pain y vendertelo por separado, pero jugablemente nos introduce las mecanicas de uno de los mejores juegos de infiltracion de la historia y tiene la mejor intro de cualquier MGS. Como demo funciona, pero como juego individual que es como lo quiso vender Konami, apesta.

While lacking content, the near-perfect stealth gameplay makes this demo a game I've played more than entire full games.

Despite it's main campaign shortness, ground zeroes provide so many beautiful content and interesting story perspective and an awesome polished gameplay that it became one of the best entry in the series... I spend more than 30 hours in this game, it's definitely a must play

Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes Review: 5/10 I didn't enjoy MGS Ground Zeroes. I expected a complete game, but felt like I was playing some kind of demo. My only motivation to continue is to get all the trophies and... that's it. Although the mechanics are great I would love to use them in different areas, more variety of missions, different enemies... I got interested to the story and characters but I didn't expect to finish that quickly. I'm glad I gave it a try as a free PS Plus game.

Es un gran juego que continúa la historia por donde lo dejo peace walker el problema es que es muy corto en verdad es más un demo y media que un juego y su precio de salida no ayudó, a pesar de tener varias misiones secundarias son mas de lo mismo se hacen en el mismo mapa muchas de ellas y son tipo elimina , neutraliza o identifica s, a pesar de tener unas mecánicas increíbles su corta duración y poco contenido hace que te sientas insatisfecho al completarlo

Um exelente prólogo para um jogo ótimo como TPP, uma pena ser tão curto, mas compensa em sua qualidade e profundidade narrativa.

Excelente juego, pero lo que no me gusto mucho es que un prologo, debieron haber ahorrado el tiempo para lanzar un solo MGSV mas completo.

Apesar de ser o MGS mais curto, serve muito bem ao seu propósito, ser um prólogo fantástico do melhor Metal Gear de todos. Tem várias missões variáveis pra manter sua vida útil, muito bom.

A pretty decent prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It's only one map but there's a decent amount of replayability. Isn't the longest game but considering it's not a full price game, I can get over it. Pick it up if you intent on playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

What Kind of Adventure? Stealthy/Third Person Shooter Was it fun? It seemed interesting but I just couldn’t get into it. Are there any similar games? It reminded me of Mission Impossible for the N64. A stealthy shooter that I just couldn’t get into. Favorite Character? The game is so short there is no character development. Favorite World/Stage? There was only one stage or location. Would you play it again? No, I just didn’t care for the game. Any Complaints? I thought it was really hard and there wasn’t much of an introduction or anything. It just through you into the gameplay and having never played a Metal Gear Solid game before, I didn’t know what to do. How many hours did you play it? I tried for a couple hours and I just couldn’t beat the first and only mission so I stopped.

I literally do not understand why this game is getting so many positive reviews on Metacritic. This game is utterly pathetic. I would give this game the normal review that I usually do, but I don't think there's enough content to make a proper judgement. I'm lucky I got this game for free as a monthly PS-Plus game, because I would be feeling very ripped off if I purchased this game at the asking price. It takes about 50 minutes to beat the game. It's literally shorter than Snipperclips cut in half. The 50 minutes of gametime are fun, which is why I'm giving it 3 points. 3/10. Pathetic. Not worth your time. Do not buy this game.

Metal Gear V: Ground Zeroes, no vale la pena por si solo, demasiado corto, creo que el juego lo puedes terminar en 1 hora, para nada rejugable, creo que Konami hizo muy mal en vender esto, pudo ver sido una demo tecnica o beta abierta, cerrada, pero no venderlo por $40.00. Y lo peor de todo que una parte de la historia iba en este titulo, si luego quieres jugar al the phanton pain, que barbaros, y de colmo, lanzan una complete edition, con ambos titulos por menos de $50.00. NO RECOMENDABLE.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is honestly a fantastic game. The story was great (albeit very short) and the graphics were flawless. Kiefer Sutherland was perfect as Big Boss. The controls and gameplay was amazing. My only problem with it was the absurdly short length. In the end, this is a fantastic game.

Excellent game-play and amazing visuals are short lived with this hour long demo. There's not much reason to own this game with TPP out.

Same game mechanics as MGSV Phantom Pain however basically a very short demo version of the game.

The price sounds outrageously high knowing it's only a prologue with few extra content but what a mission ! Camp Omega is the best level design in ages and there are as many ways to go through it as you can imagine ! The extra missions are not included in the story line but let you discover the many possibilities of the gameplay. A very good introduction to Phantom Pain that will be better appreciated if played after finishing Peace Walker.
