Masquarade The Baubles of Doom When Batman Meets Shrek Masquarade The Baubles of Doom is a 3D action platformer where you play as a jester… These clowns how stolen your girlfriend cause shes got the map to the most coveted balls in all the land.. and its up to you to get her back and stop the big nose from getting his hands on those balls. This game is hilarious at times.. both in cutscenes, as well as in the game world.. Unfortunately, the humor is the only good about this game.. This is an Arkham Style beat em up mixed with platforming you attack enemies with square, counter with triangle.. jump with x and pull off a super move with circle.. when you defeat an enemy they drop their clown nose.. collecting noses unlocks more powerful super moves this sounds fine.. but the controls in this game are way too floaty.. leading combat to feel unresponsive and therefore completely unsatisfying.. it feels like theres a delay.. almost like youre playing off of a stream… This can lead to some pretty frustrating encounters.. But noo as frustrating as the platforming can be.. Again, the platforming feels floaty and awkward… you never have a true sense of your characters weight, making some sections seem almost unplayable… While Masquarade the baubles of doom has a hint of charm and I didn’t exactly regret playing through the 3 hour story to get to the sequel baiting ending you wont be missing all too much if you decide to just forget about it I give Masquarade: The Baubles of Doom a 5.5/10
