Foamstars's gameplay mechanics are very good and unique. The map design and scenery are eye-catching, and the characters have much charisma. While we have a very worthy experience, its longevity will depend on how well it treats the community and whether it becomes a game that endures.

Foamstars is fun and stylish, but it has a lot to prove in order to survive in a very competitive market. It's the lack of content and the premium economic model (with very expensive microtransactions) the biggest drawbacks we see in the foreseeable future. Today it's just fun.

Un juego visualmente bonito, con personajes carismáticos y bastante reconocibles, las habilidades que tiene cada uno son interesantes y su modo de juego principal "Smash The Star" se me hace bastante original y divertido, pero fuera de eso, es un juego que luego de unas partidas se siente monótono y ya no tiene nada mas que ofrecer.
Tiene un modo en solitario que podría considerarse el "Modo Historia", el cual no todos los personajes tienen, que sirve como un tutorial bastante largo y aburrido, lo que lo mantiene entretenido son las interacciones que los personajes tienen entre ellos, pero que solo sean dos imágenes con texto y un poco de actuación de voz hace que se vea perezoso, no aprovechan su increíble apartado visual para hacer pequeñas cinemáticas. También hay un modo de Misiones que se supone son en equipos, pero nunca he encontrado gente para hacerlas, supongo a nadie le llama la atención eliminar animales tiernos que se mueven lento. Al menos el juego tiene un sistema para poder comprar algunos cosméticos por monedas del juego.

Awesome game! They have done a complete turnaround with free to play, lowering the shop prices drastically from 40€ skins to 7€ battlepass and skins. I am very happy and having a lot of fun with the game! Go try it out, it is free and offers a lot of fun!

There is so much good to say about Foamstars, with its quirky characters and cheerfully energizing feel. While at launch the matches do not feel entirely balanced, that will even out with time, yet the microtransactions look as though they could only get worse.

FOAMSTARS knows what it’s doing following the Splatoon blueprint, but it’s an easy pop that values its in-game economy more than fostering a community during the teething period of its release. I worry for the future of this one in the live service vacuum. While there are aspects that feel fun, this game still needs to prove itself in the market which is no easy feat. Locally, this is a tall ask but with server numbers untenable it really may be the writing on the bathroom wall for such a new multiplayer game – bubbles not included.

Attractive characters and maps, colorful effects, matching with various users! This season lasts for six months! Is there any reason not to love this game?

Having good silly fun with it. Being part of the PS plus line up made it an easy choice to give it a go. I doubt it has longevity but is definitely worth a few hours of your time,I’ve enjoyed dipping in for half an hour here and there.Downside being no platinum trophy though.

PlayStation's, "We got Splatoon at Home". However its about 7-8 years too late. Just like Splatoon, it has shallow gameplay that I just do not find fun in any form. At least it has some single player modes, unlike something like Destruction All-Stars, but the wave combat in those is beyond boring and the "story" sounds like it was written and spoken by AI. At least it was free for PlayStation Plus users for this month, as it definitely feels like a free to play game and the cash shop confirms that with some absurdly priced bundles.
