The defeats sting, but the pain of losing all your gear is softened by the approachable combat, player interaction, and the ARC enemies. And despite this approachability, the game has a gnarled edge. There’s texture to the world, a visceral tang and depth to the weaponry, and engrossing foundational systems that make the whole thing hurt so good. With ARC Raiders, Embark Studios has proved, once again, it knows how to deliver the goods.

Embark took their time developing ARC Raiders, and the end result is spectacular. There are, indeed, some problems, but everything indicates that they will be resolved over time.

After The Finals, Embark Studios hits the mark again, releasing not only one of the best extraction shooters on the market, but also one of the most interesting games of the year. With robotic enemies as bad as ever, gorgeous maps, and a remarkably accessible loot system, ARC Raiders manages to be the first entry in the genre truly accessible to everyone, even running flawlessly on consoles. The only unknown remains post-launch support, but the roadmap published by the developers is promising, with an additional map already arriving in the next few days. Rich PvE combat and an unusually friendly community make Arc Raiders a more approachable extraction shooter than most, but Embark Studios' continued use of AI voice generation is a black mark against its reputation.

Не понимаю как люди проводят в ней так много времени но никто не обязан понимать все на свете и всех на свете. Картинка выглядит очень приятно и крайне современно, в настройках существуют присеты как для желающих испытать своё очень дорогое железо так и для бедолаг с 10летним ПК которые вдруг нашли игру мечты, все буду ощущать себя комфортно. Радуют очень плавные анимации, игра персонаж ощущается очень естественно и отзывчиво, все действия выполняются крайне приятно и по необходимости прирываются очень натурально. Так же стоит похвалить систему подбора игроков которая учитывает агресивность ищущего, если ты любишь больше просто побегать на донт шутичах с тобой загрузятся точно такие же позитивные игроки, если ты сюда приходишь за кровью то жди что за твою голову тоже объявлена награда. Так же учитывается как вы играете в пати и соло. Матчмейкинг точно одна из сильнейших сторон игры. ПВЕ в целом очень разнообразный набор патрулирующих роботов, тебе всегда есть кого опасаться а кому проста дать щелбан, при этом боты часто могут удивить залетев в место где вы считаете себя в безопасности и тд. Но в целом не являются непреодолимыми. Карты, их как по мне маловато, очень быстро тебе становится нечего исследовать и игра для тебя становится либо рутиной либо способом пообщаться со старыми знакомыми. Так же хотелось бы увидеть реализацию аукциона игроков, свободное перемещение по сперансе где можно видеть таких же игроков, обмениваться с ними лутом и торговать, искать сопартийцев на больших босов или квесты. Пока же игра для меня закончилась.

Controls are responsive and the HUD is minimalist yet informative. Multiplayer is generally stable, though occasional latency spikes can occur during peak loads — the developer has been responsive with patches, but this is worth noting.Initial content offering is decent: mission variety, enemy types, and core modifiers provide engaging short‑term play, but long‑term replayability will depend heavily on regular content updates and the introduction of new modes and gear. i know i shouldnt be speaking considering my hours but still ill say it is a fun game i think i got a good idea of how the game works,i mean its good especially with a group but there are some things i dont like and i know they are supposed to be there such as the mechanic that if you die you lose all your loot. This is my only complain well this and the timer , why do you lose everything like for example i was playing with a friend of mine and we had just looted a high value area we had found some rare loot and suddenly a player from a high spot sniped us and we lost all our good loot augments gone weapons gone ,its a fun game but why do you have to spend 3 hours only to get sniped and lose all your progress and btw we didnt really hit other players so we were on the coresponding lobbys . The change that needs to be made it to at least keep what you are holding like guns and augments and shields and only the looted stuff should be lost ,it is just not worth it to play for at my case 7 hours make a character with good weapons and other stuff and just lose it . all of that for nothing

Last Edit: I leave that game now. I was getting really bored, so I thought I would give it one last chance. I got killed twice by rats at the extract, when I play PvE exclusively. I may come back when then Embark adds a 'PvE Only' option, which means never. Edit: I don't understand. As soon as I put on any good gear, I land in PvP lobbies and lose my stuff immediately. I can play 20 games in a row using a free loadout without any issues, but as soon as I equip some gear, I get PvP encounters. Why is this happening? Why does the matchmaking even do that in the first place? Is it because of cheaters? The latest cheats allow players to see the gear of other players from any distance. That means cheaters will chase you from the other side of the map to hunt you, kill you, and take your stuff if you bring anything good. There is no solution at the moment, as the cheats also provide aimbot functionality, which means it is not possible to win these encounters. Also, every time this happens, the gear is completely unbalanced. If I bring a Burletta (green), I encounter someone using a Torrente (blue). If I use an Anvil (green), I encounter someone using a Canto (blue). Why does this keep happening? Why is the matchmaking so bad? Why can't I use my hard-earned gear and remain stuck using free loadouts? Because the cheating is unmanageable, please Embark, add a 'PvE only' option to matchmaking that disables PvP in matches. If you can't beat the cheaters, at least add an option to disable PvP entirely. Good game, but EXTREMELY ratty. There is no real PvP to speak of. All my encounters have been EXCLUSIVELY backstabs. People only attack you when you are fighting Arcs, when looting, or from far away with sniper rifles. The PvE lobbies are great, but sometimes the algorithm completely misses the mark and throws a few PvP players into the mix, which makes the experience truly miserable. The matchmaking based on aggression may be the most innovative idea in PvPvE games I have ever seen. It is the reason why I bought the game. I have not shot a single person yet, and I have landed in lobbies with 90 percent like-minded people who focus on having fun, questing and PvE. The sound design is phenomenal. Each sound tells a story about what is happening. I LOVE that the maps make sense. They feel real. The apartments have beds, kitchens, and drawers. The pharmacies have shelves and a counter. They really went out of their way to make a world that feels alive. I also LOVE that most maps are outdoors and lush. It is such a different take from the overdone bleak post-nuclear apocalypse. It gives an eerie feeling and is strangely liberating. One issue may be that the game is becoming too difficult for solo players. Events like 'Close Scrutiny' do not feel aimed at 'people with jobs', as advertised. Many strategies for solo players have been nerfed: Deadline, Wolfpack, Hullbreaker, grenades, and Anvil. This makes the game tedious. Also, the small stack sizes of items can be annoying. There are so many items. Please increase the stack size in the stash.
