Bloody Ties is a new expansion wasting some potential by being released without the proper foundations and context. It ends up being part of a forgettable story which leaves rewards that, quite regularly, will demand for proactivity or an outright new game save.

Bloody Ties is a safe, short expansion that gives dedicated Dying Light fans some new stuff to mess around with, but there's not much to entice other people to dive back in.

Experience a thrilling twist in gameplay with this new expansion. While the story is interesting but not complicated, the gameplay introduces a unique combat system and challenges to take away the advantage of having very advanced weapons and puts you in fighting pits to create the feeling of a true spartan worrier in a roman arena. The mixture of fighting intense battles against humans in confined arenas and smashing infected that are weaponize by ruthless thugs takes the combat to new levels of excitement. Beside combat, the expansion introduce new bar core missions are designed to make your heart race by pushing your bare core skills to not only being fast and agile, but to also smartly use the environment to run through and around the infected during a race to avoid being slowed down or even killed. Verdict: The expansion provides more hours of entertainment to an already enjoyable game.

Good- Fits in as a decent break from the main campaign. Bad- Boring story; Annoying characters; Dull new combat encounters. Thoughts- If Bloody Ties is supposed to set expectations for what you can expect from the series of expansion releases Dying Light 2 Stay Human is supposed to see down the line, get ready for some sore disappointment. While nothing in the first expansion is outright bad, more than anything, there’s just nothing new to come back to, especially if you’ve already experienced everything the base game has to offer.

Bloody Ties is a fun DLC, especially if you enjoyed the side activities in the main game, but it’s hard not to think Dying Light 2’s first expansion could have benefited from a bit more time - even after the delays - to help it live up to its full potential.

Fortunately, Bloody Ties is more than just a series of arena fights, as it also offers other types of quests and a pretty extensive (but not particularly great) story. If you enjoyed Dying Light 2 and are thirsty for more, you will probably be satisfied with this DLC, but don’t expect it to elevate the whole experience.

There’s nothing in the Bloody Ties expansion that warrants returning to the game, especially if you’ve been playing it since release. Its story is rather boring, and its new combat encounters are dull.

Bloody Ties isn’t likely to wow you in any way. As DLC goes, it’s very much inessential. But for just £7.99/$9.99, those wanting an excuse to return to Dying Light 2 might at least find it entertaining. The challenges will test your skills, while the cosmetics will allow you to further make Aiden your own. It’s just a shame that it very much feels like an extended side-quest, and that your hard-earned equipment is mostly rendered useless.

The arena combat features in Dying Light 2: Bloody Ties are refreshing for a time. Unfortunately, the clunkiness and tediousness from the base game remains. Worse, there's a litany of crashes, and a game-breaking bug that can cause issues with your save.

I don't know how they messed this up so badly. The challenges are really unfun, from the ones you need to do to qualify, to the ones in the arena itself. Тhey all just feel bland, but they do have their moments at times. The story is incredibly generic and uninteresting and none of the progression you make feels interesting or exciting. I really wish they hadn't released this at all

Ana oyuna bile yakışmayan bir paket olmuş. Uzak durun eğer mücadele tarzı bir oynanış sevmiyorsanız.

One of the worst DLCs I gave ever played. Crap story with characters you don't care about. You run from one side of a awful map constantly, the matches aren't even fun, there is this awesome fighters gym that you cant do anything with, you cantbuse your own gear, the gear you get isn't good. I got it free thats about the only positive I could say. There was so much opportunity to make this great but it's just a big mess.

A dishonor to Dying Light 1. Do not get this game bet the first one that is older and better in every single aspect. ( beside graphicsmaybe, sometimes)

How do they have the cheek to call this thing a "story DLC". Cashiers at supermarkets have a better story to tell than this.
