Castlevania Anniversary Collection

The Castlevania Anniversary Collection is a required pick-up for fans of the classic whip-slinging series. Granted, there are a couple of minor problems with this set, most notably the lack of button-remapping. Hopefully they're being worked on. Still, it's hard to argue with having four of the all-time best action-platformers around. Plus you get four other games, which range from awful to pretty good. Whether you decide to pick this up now, or wait for the region-select and other fixes, you're guaranteed a good time.

Any Castlevania fan would be doing a disservice to themselves by not picking up the Castlevania Anniversary Collection. With the ability to save replays and create a save state, choose from six different display options and three borders, and flip through a bonus book filled with cool art, history, and interviews, this anthology is a great value. I would have liked to see a sound test option built into the main menu, the ability to remap buttons, and multiple save files per game, but on the whole the Castlevania Anniversary Collection delivers.

A bare-bones but substantial package, this celebration of the first decade or so of the storied franchise will be extremely welcome for old-school fans, and makes an excellent starting point for new players.

This is a much better way to pay homage to a glorious franchise than the Classics Arcade Collection of some weeks ago: download it if you love Castlevania or intend to discover the series for the first time.

It is not perfect, and things like not being able to remap the controls are quite annoying, but it is a good collection and many of the games still hold up pretty well.

A great compilation of Castlevania games, among the best you can find. If you prefer the classic gameplay over the 'metroidvania' style, you'll want to "bite".

Castlevania Anniversary Collection is an excellent, high quality retro collection. It is of a collection where too many of the games don't hold enough value beyond their nostalgia, and it's lacking titles I would have considered to be key. However, with a great set of features, and plenty of classic dark fantasy platforming, this package is a useful reminder of just how prestigious the entire franchise really is.

If u have a Switch you need this Collection Compilations like this are the Switches strength. Best games of history and you can play them anywhere.

I know most of these games really well, so I'm giving it a 10 based on the spot on emulation by M2 and ease of access. With multiple display options, save states, and a nice presentation, for $19.99 this package is a steal that lets you play some of the absolute best titles in this great franchise.

A great collection of the classic Castlevania games. The Menu UI, emulation, save state features, and bonus content all come together to form a really complete overall package. Some of the titles included are better than others, but each does represent the variety present in the early days of the series. Would definitely recommend to those interested in the retro Castelvania titles, it's quite cheap too.
