The biggest change compared to other parts of the law series is the setting in England and the presence of Herlock Sholmes. Otherwise, it's still the same, and really great, adventure full of dialogues, specific humor and characters.

If you've never played any of the Ace Attorney titles before, this is an excellent place to start – but it's also a good example of how far we've come since the franchise first was released in the West over 15 years ago! With all the smooth 3D visuals, the excellent music, the extensively researched setting and the great cast of characters, it's leaps and bounds ahead of the original Ace Attorney trilogy, and the story shines just as brightly as the original. I love all the ace attorney games with a burning passion, especially the original trilogy, but Ace Attorney Chronicles blew me away, it is so good, I'm going to say it! It i offically my favorite Ace Attorney game. This game's investigations are done so well, the atmosphere is done well in the 1800s in London. The characters are so quirky and I love them all, the juror system was also unique and a lot of fun, but more than anything the story is amazing and very mysterious. I have no complaints about any of the cases, they're all done so well. This game is truly an amazing Ace Attorney game, pick it up, you won't regret it!

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is two brilliant games for the price of one, and it not only gives us more of what we love, but gives us something that is visually, narratively, and historically deeper than ever before. There's a bit of a learning curve that you'll have to get on top of to meet the game where it's at, but honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better version of the game we've been wanting for years.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is a solid package, retaining the charm and entertainment of previous entries. It's not the series’ best, but there’s plenty to keep you entertained as you work your way through case after case. The new scenery and characters made things feel fresh, but playing another Ace Attorney game also felt a bit like coming home.

For every fan out there who were passionately waiting for the chance to play a localized version of Shu Takumi's last games this is a true celebration. The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is an engrossing and fun adventure with a unique settings, and a familiar, yet completely new cast of characters.

Franchise fans should be psyched to get the two Great Ace Attorney games, and in a polished package. It won’t change your mind about these titles one way or the other, unless you have a strong feeling about the period-piece setting. But it does what it sets out to do.

A worthy prequel/spinoff of the main series. Cases are strong, but it almost feels too similar in execution rather than actually trying to bring change to the series.

The game is ok. Overall, the cases are well thought out, it is easy to control and it's a fine game you can sit and play quietly. But it’s really slow and it's not always that fun. I think you spend too much time on unimportant things in the game. It was nice to try the game but I don't know if I want to play it again.

The writing is poor, characters are boring and annoying, and the pacing is horrendous. Even the music is subpar. Definitely the worst in the AA series.

Love the story lines and the vibe they’re going for, but it’s a bit slow. While playing you need to solve the mystery and then read how they’re retelling what you’ve just solved. If you’re someone who loves solving mysteries and participating in them, really searching for clues then this game isn’t for you either. They actually make the “clues” super obvious, it gets obnoxious. I was very excited for this game but it ended up with me just auto playing the dialogue.. wouldn’t buy again.
